Hey man glad to see you on my feed again. It's been years since you've shown up in my recommended. I just wanna say thank you for your videos, I use to watch you all the time when I was much younger, you were the initial spark that become the passion for biking that I have now. Take care
Yo Walter you’re going to love it! I’ve had mine for about 2 years. The handlebar thing is because the bar is able to wiggle a bit between the clamps. You can fix it by carefully forcing the bar further during full lock at a stop. It will wiggle back to straight position. I had the same issue and even after installing SW Motech bar risers it was still crooked. Took me forever to figure out what was going on but simple enough to straighten out.
Walter - go to a tree or a sign post or any other solid object, and turn the bars with mild force so that the tire hits the solid object - the bar clamps are just slightly misaligned. Doing this in one direction or the other will slowly shift them back into alignment. This is common on ADV bikes and is something we all see on a number of different bikes, especially after a drop on the trail. You don't have to "Slam" the tire against whatever it is you're knocking the sidewall against - just give it a firm bump and you'll notice the alignment changes.
its been ages... thank you so much for all the years of content, you inspired me to want a motorcycle from a young age. good to see you on the recommended again, hopefully everyone likes and comments to get this account TRENDING again
Tilted bars might be solved by loosening fork clamps, compress & release fork a few times & then tighten them again. Had that on many bikes, especially ones with long travel suspension.
Hey buddy! The handlebars being crooked is an easy adjustment. You likely already have that addressed if you had your first service, but if you come across that in the future for any reason it’s a fairly simple fix. Your bushings are just flexed from your handlebar risers being a little twisted. You can put the sidewall of your tire next to one of those yellow posts next to a gas station and twist the handlebars to flex them straight again. Super easy to do! Best of luck!
Skip the shinko's get the Tusk 2 track. Rocky mountain ATV sells them and I can guarantee you you will not be disappointed. Significantly better than the shinko and their $210 for the front and rear together.
Not sure if someone mentioned it, but the heat issue can be fixed. It's the catalytic converter. Get a mid pipe and slip on and the heat will go away. Also check or make the dealer check the clutch cover gasket if it's crushed or not, which can lead to oil leaks. There's also a widespread issue and recall with the fuel sensor inside of the tank breaking. The shift lever is very brittle and prone to breaking. Water pump/oil leak, again common issue with crushed gaskets. Pulsing throttle and fueling issues at 3k rpm require a remap to fix if you experience that one. The fuel pump relay is also prone to go out. Other than that have fun with it, it's a good looking bike and really underrated.
I was going to mention the same thing about the heat issue. The pulsing throttle problem has been fixed by a new fuel map that Aprilia put out early last year so I would imagine that it would already be on the new models.
Congrats again on the bike Walter. Also the audio on the helmet sounds good :). When I first started watching your videos like 5 years ago if not longer, I very much wanted a street bike but time passed and I got into the adventure/dualsport segment and have actually never had a street bike(currently riding a 701 Enduro). I think the tuareg is an excellent choice and you'll get a lot of smiles per gallon. I know you've got plenty of mods and expenses but I highly recommend Chris Birch's say no to slow adventure bike videos. Watching those and doing the drills he advises has improved my riding so much. Also plenty of free resources on youtube like Motortrek or Brett Tkacs too. Hope you can make it out west and maybe do some BDRs soon :) Also as you ride more and more dirt, I highly recommend considering the Motoz Rallz tires, they're the best offroad/on-road tire imo and it seems like everyone in my local adv groups uses the Rallz at least on the rear and sometimes a different Motoz tire up front. They're a little bit pricey but worth it.
The bars sound also like an assembly error. Some are telling you to tap the wheel against something. The PROPER way is to loosen the steering stem nut and everything under the top clamp (including the axle), then straighten it and tighten top down slowly.
Walter!!!! Its so good to find your content again i got lost in life and found your content again on tiktok ive been a fan for years!!!! And im not a biker!
From personal experience with quad lock, my phone was still on my bike after an accident. But I hit a massive pothole and it flew off twice. I don't know how the system will work for off-road because I think bumps could potentially unlock it. But I would highly recommend it. If you have to use the universal phone mount on a case, add super glue. My phone has hit me in the chest. Luckily I caught it.
I just bought a new bike as well this past weekend. First sports touring bike. You should do a group ride to Colorado I would totally ride up from Wichita to join!
Hey Walter, take a look at the Mitas E07 Dakars. Not the E07+, just the basic bitch. I run those on my Tiger 900 Rally Pro that you've seen me on around town, and they do amazing in everything except thick mud. Some folks are getting up to 10k miles off a set, which is phenomenal. Let me know if you ever wanna give it a rip in the dirt.
It’s funny how I started on sport bikes like u and I’ve switched to dirt I also have a Tuareg love it going on a ride from Vancouver to Baja in June exited
@Racso88e 😄 sure bud. You're just jelly and upset someone called you on it. Go try your dom/beta bs elsewhere as the only ones that use that in conversations are definitely people okay with watching their gf with others.

I feel like this about my handlebars too! I have the exact same model! THANK YOU! I THOUGHT I WAS GOING CRAZY!

Nice vid mate. Good to see you post again. You're the reason i decided to get into riding recently in my 30s.

Sweet
Crooked handlebar is poor assembly from pre delivery. That is the sad state of motorcycle dealers in the US.
KACHOW
I dont want this video to be 20 minutes long >_>
Not a motorcycle I would ever buy. Too bulky for trails and not great for roads.
I forgot I was subscribed to this channel. Wow it's been a while. Views dropped significantly. Less than 3% of your audience watches.
Your point here is to be rude or something? Some of us are just happy he still cares enough to keep posting.
@@Spikeg7 you're sensitive. Your mom is the dominant for sure. It's an analytic. It is his income. He likely knows buts comfortable regardless.

@@Racso88e It came across as rude, you got called out and couldn’t handle it based on your juvenile response.
If you watched you'd realize youtube isn't his main source of income.
