I have a red 2006 Hyundai Tucson that I still drive every day. I absolutely love it too. It vibrates when idling like that when in gear. I’d check to see if it happens in gear too. This way you can narrow things down and either include or exclude the transmission. You can take a long screw driver and go under the hood and put one end on a fuel injector and one end on your ear and listen like a stethoscope. Do the same for each one. You should hear a nice steady ticking. If you hear one every few or one that sounds way different than the others you may have an occasional misfire on a cylinder. Check the trans fluid while you’re under there too. Generally worn motor mounts cause shaking but I highly highly doubt that. My Tucson still has original motor mounts and they aren’t excessively worn. Consider your fuel too. Dirty fuel can cause issues. Don’t fill up after heavy rain, water content is up. Try to fill up at a tri fuel certified brand like shell or BP instead of speedway. Even though it’s cheaper it isnt as good and you’ll even get worse gas milage using speedway gas vs shell gas. You can try bogging the engine down by turning on every accessory and turning the wheel. The idle air control valve should open to let more air in as this added loud could bog an idling engine down. Make sure it reacts to that. If you suspect a misfire you can get a cheap scan tool which will always be nice to have and look under vehicle data>misfire counter and know for sure.
Check your oil level and transmission mounts. Could be a defect in the motor mounts. Vibration from the motor indicates that damped mounts such as the transmission mount, or motor mount might be shot causing you to feel the motor more.
Hello, Please assist me on my Hyundai Tucson Automatic Transmission whose gear change is a problem. When I switch to D (Departure) or R there is a strange movement and the engine moves. And while driving sometimes i feel engine hesitation
I’ve bought a Kia Ceed 1.6 CRDi, 16 plate, and although it doesn’t vibrate within the RPM range you suggested, it does vibrate between 1700-1900, 3rd-4th gear, only on a flat road. If I flatten the acceleration, problems is not that pronounced. You can look up these sort of issues on various forums and you’ll see people have had all sort of responses. It can be driveshaft, engine mounts, flywheel, harmonic resonance from the exhaust etc. You have two options: either put up with it or sell it. Sending it back to the dealer is not necessarily an option, as it’s pretty difficult to put a diagnostic and would a waste of time, patience and money.
I getting my next car which a used Hyundai Tucson with very good exterior and interior condition ,low mileage with Hyundai service record. I tested drive the vehicle twice before I decide to buy this car. I reviewed from some forum and some study for Hyundai Tucson. The only I worry of cause is this dry DCT. Mazda CX5 2.0 - Handsome look, good interior design and many soft touch materials, very good handling and throttle respond(Feel like a premium sedan) but expansive and under power when medium and high speed. Hyundai Tucson 1.6T - Expansive Hyundai in NEW but Cheaper in second hand, and... 1. I have the same issue, with my 2017 Tucson sport 1.6 ltr engine, went to the dealer 4 times and I verified it with the service manager, he took a ride with me and told me yes I can feel it too but its up to the mechanic judder test if it will pass or not, they know for sure its DCT transmission judder problem, but they told me 4 times after 4 diagnosis there is nothing wrong with it, shame on Hyundai, will never buy Hyundai again, it looks like Hyundai’s dealership have agreement with Hyundai’s factory or makers to tell their customers this is a normal thing, we all should file a lawsuit against Hyundai because this is life-threatening situation especially while doing turns when feels like it’s shutting off, shame on Korean manufacturers. So to solve it they must replace the dual clutch judder but they will not do it and keep lying.
Not really - good days and bad days, which makes even less sense. Went through the motions with main dealer, they just ended saying it was 'the character of the vehicle'. It has just been issued a recall notice due to ABS problems - the fix is new software. Maybe that will change something but I am doubting it.

Did you find out what the problem was. I bought a hyundai i40 recently and notcied a vibration while sitting idle.
I have the problem in my hyundai i40 automatic. Did you fix it?
@@adamdamon5302 not yet ive been kind of busy but from what i have been reading from other peoples experiences it might be an engine mount causing it. It seems to be a pretty common problem with the i40s.
@@adamdamon5302 hey just to let u know my problem seems to be caused by the dual mass fly wheel im getting a new one installed later this week. Did u find the cause of yours.

@@JHAMS.001-car-repair thanks
I would assume that’s a crankshaft problem
Dear gents , there was a new remap published by Hyundai on our cars. You can solve by the dealers help .
I had the same , after remaping problem solved !

That engine sounds like it has half a million miles......
It's diesel.
What s the news?
Just drive it !when broken change new one

That almost made me pee my pants... hilarious
Did you manage to get it fixed?
Not really - good days and bad days, which makes even less sense. Went through the motions with main dealer, they just ended saying it was 'the character of the vehicle'. It has just been issued a recall notice due to ABS problems - the fix is new software. Maybe that will change something but I am doubting it.
@@genxradio Hello!
I think I found and solved the problem, after 2 months in which I kept the car in 2 servings and the mechanics failed to solve it.
Please give me a phone on WhatsApp and I will try to explain.

I have a 2016 Tucson and mine vibrates once in awhile when I’m stopped at a light. It feels like it wants to cut out but the rpm are fine. What do you guys think this might be?
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Doing the same thing, have you solve your problem?
I have exactly the same problem that you have too, but in an Elantra 2013 1.8 mpi
