Hola. I'm Jamaican and we do the same. We make all kinds of porridge. They love giving children or babies this😁. I love adding coconut milk to my porridge. It adds a great flavor. Nice video.
Oh yes thank you. I am gonna explore Jamaican porridge cos some I saw use plantains and the coconut milk sound like one I should try.
Nice!!! We cook it in Zambia 🇿🇲 too. Fun Video:).
Thank you for watching.
Thanks for keeping our clutch food love you
she is sooo cute omg. Bless you ladies
Thanks
so sweet!
Thank you! 😊
In Uganda they don't put peantbutter in cornflour/maize flour porridge nor do they mix sorghum it's just corn flour milk and sugar if you have it if you don't lemon squeezed into the porridge without milk works. Peantbutter is normally used for making stews
Thank you for clarifying. Peanut butter features heavily in cooking from my area of Eastern Equatorial in South Sudan, we add it to literally every meal. And Sorghum is a staple food of the Sudan.
We make peanut porridge too. You can make porridge from lots of things. Caribbean life
So cute and highly enjoyable! Great job Asaneta! I will be making this for breakfast this morning! I saw someone mention this porridge on my friend Emmanuel Jal’s FB! I can’t wait to try it!
Oh let me visit Emmanuel Jal’s FB page

What a great team! Daughter is beautifully composed, and I love that you didn't edit out the more casual and very fun ending! NOW: How, ever, could I purchase that very cool stirring tool ?? ♥
Thank you for your kind comments. Aha, the Lofrega. Indeed I am waiting for a shipment and then I will sell it. It is imported, handmade from Sudan and South Sudan. I will update once available.
She's cute ❤❤
What is the one with black seeds called and its white
awww very sweet video my other u tuber I watch her mom made it for her she's about to have her baby any day and I love porridge my nana used to make it for me I love it I like farina too so delish. So I'm going to make this def. have to find the sorghum flour. :)
Thank you for loving my efforts and you know porridge is so calorie rich we prescribe it for all breastfeeding mums to increase milk production
Thats good to know yes the other vlog friend is eating it for that purpose my daughter and daughter in law just had babies I'm gonna pass this info on. TY And where would I find sorghum flower reg. supermarket or like a trader joes or whole foods store???? Ty
Sorry late to reply. The sorghum I buy from a Arab / Mediterranean grocery store, or from Indian grocery store. And just about every major city has 1 of these stores.
This seems really similar to something we call Pap in Nigeria.
Obie Hive it's the same. Pap means porridge.
What is the one with seeds
Interesting, thank you! Is the sorghum millet flour from hulled millet, so kind of 'white' millet flour or whole food millet flour? Love
No sorghum is a different grain from millet. It is rounder, cream colored and bigger than millet grain. The flour is cream in color
@@TasteofSouthSudan Thank you dear! I know its a different variety. I meant the sorghum flour that is used for the recipe, is it whole (sorghum) grain flour, or has it had removed the husk part. (Thats what I meant, without the hull/husk its brighter and with it, it's darker). I was interested to know about the cooking duration time, since grains with hull/husk, socalled 'wholegrains' need longer cooking/preparation time. Love
Wow this is wonderful can I get sorghum in Al Abudhabi please tell me
I do not know but I am sure someone is importing it
Is that a kiboko just incase?😕😣sorry I was too fast!
DO you mean the attitude adjustment instrument we call lofrega?
Taste of South Sudan the mixer it looked like a caning stick!
Yeah some of our mothers use it for that purpose as well as for cooking I am embarrassed to admit hehehhe
