    Hola. I'm Jamaican and we do the same. We make all kinds of porridge. They love giving children or babies this😁. I love adding coconut milk to my porridge. It adds a great flavor. Nice video.

    In Uganda they don't put peantbutter in cornflour/maize flour porridge nor do they mix sorghum it's just corn flour milk and sugar if you have it if you don't lemon squeezed into the porridge without milk works. Peantbutter is normally used for making stews

    • @TasteofSouthSudan
      @TasteofSouthSudan  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you for clarifying. Peanut butter features heavily in cooking from my area of Eastern Equatorial in South Sudan, we add it to literally every meal. And Sorghum is a staple food of the Sudan.

      Sorry late to reply. The sorghum I buy from a Arab / Mediterranean grocery store, or from Indian grocery store. And just about every major city has 1 of these stores.

    Interesting, thank you! Is the sorghum millet flour from hulled millet, so kind of 'white' millet flour or whole food millet flour? Love

    • @TasteofSouthSudan
      @TasteofSouthSudan  Год назад

      No sorghum is a different grain from millet. It is rounder, cream colored and bigger than millet grain. The flour is cream in color

    • @dukenegju
      @dukenegju Год назад

      @@TasteofSouthSudan Thank you dear! I know its a different variety. I meant the sorghum flour that is used for the recipe, is it whole (sorghum) grain flour, or has it had removed the husk part. (Thats what I meant, without the hull/husk its brighter and with it, it's darker). I was interested to know about the cooking duration time, since grains with hull/husk, socalled 'wholegrains' need longer cooking/preparation time. Love
