Thank you so much! You helped a lot because little hinges aren't sold here in local stores

Same! I live in the middle of nowhere and I don't use them enough to justify ordering a huge pack of them online. So glad I could help! 😊

This was a fantastic video on this. I've been wanting to make some hinged walnuts. I gave up because well... whole nuts in the shell cease to exist immediately after Christmas. lol Yeah, I could buy them online, but I want to *SEE* the product, because it's important for them to be intact. I am hesitant to buy any online, because normal usage wouldn't need them to be intact per say. ANYHOW.....This video is a reminder to keep looking! I might have luck at some bigger stores with bulk foods perhaps. Thanks for sharing!

I can only get them around Christmas where I live too. I bought a bag two years ago for crafting and it's still going strong! The nuts are too funky for human consumption, but the ravens in my yard still like them. 😊

Such a cute way to do it!!! I actually like the swirly outside look best! I do have the little hinges, and they’re not always so easy to attach! Thanks for a great video

Thank you so so so much..... I have just recieved a big bag of Walnuts and wanted to make a miniature walnut room. Your hinge tutorial is perfect and easy to follow. I shared your YT video in a few miniature groups I am a part of, as others asked how to make the hinge...... So you may get a few extra followers from that (hope that is OK)..... Once again, thank you ❤.

Thank you so much! I have been looking to make a polymer clay locket and have not been able to find anything even close. Your walnut shell box should transfer over to polymer clay without a great deal of difficulty!

Yes! A ceramic artist on IG made one out of high-temp wire and used it in small ceramic boxes. It will def work with poly clay! 😊😊

My sister's husband is from Vienna. Unfortunately, I don't speak German. 😊 I think the small magnets are a good idea! I have been trying to think of a lock also!
