  • Thirsty Boots (rare version) plus a big surprise at the end
Spanning a career of 55 years Andersen is hailed by his peers as a master songsmith. He has long been a luminary in the folk music community, but no less than the Beatles manager - Brian Epstein - had hopes of bringing his talents to a much wider audience shorty before he died. Andersen has a canon of great songs that are unfortunately not well known. Three overlooked masterpieces are his albums - STAGES/THE LOST ALBUM, MORE HITS FROM TIN CAN ALLEY, and BE TRUE TO YOU.

I was in Toronto in the summer of 1970 and Eric was there and all the Festival Express musicians too. The train crossed Canada and so did hundreds of young music fans. I got derailed in Winnipeg and the train never finished its trek that summer but the music never ended and the train still chugs along... And every time I hear Eric singing this I remember sweet "Arlo" and our future visit to Vancouver, which was delayed....wishing....wistfully...

I remember seeing him at the Cat's Cradle. Have always loved his voice. Thank you for this song and grand collection of photos of a great and talented artist.

    30何年前、小さいライブ会場で彼を見て、感動した。
    思った通りとても誠実に歌ってくれた。
    忘れられない。
    アコギを引く人、二人のステージだった。

I am trying to locate Eric's whereabouts since I was his neighbor in 1978 while living in Woodstock, NY. Would love to reach out to him. Lorraine Del Rosso

I loved that little kicker at the end...
Also, just for curiosity sake, can you say when/where this was recorded.
Beautiful performance, amazingly clean live tape for the era.

That appears to be Debbie Green, who reportedly taught guitar to Joan Baez in the early days in Cambridge, MA, and was married to Eric for a time in the 70's.
