I love Ecuador, we were planning a trip to Cuenca as a nice break from the Snow but with they recent events my "wife" decided we should go to Arizona instead.

Carl is working hard to let everyone know it's safe in Loja. It is safe now and it has been. The crackdown on the trafficantes is elsewhere. I am sure he wouldn't expose his family to any danger. If I had his energy I'd be making more trips to the provencial capital. I might be going up in a few days to buy a guitar. I need less screen time and more time picking and strumming. Maybe I can make a "Ranchera, or Corido" about gringos in Vilcabamba. Tell the stories of our southward migration. Express in song how grateful we are to Ecuador for its welcoming embrace.
