I highly recommend a iron that has heat control,it makes a huge difference, the basic irons run 50% hotter than they need to be,it will look cleaner and less room for error/damage if you tip is smoking it WAY too hot
Pertinent to this video: I recently discovered the HK polymer guns use a different material for the slide panels and backstraps than the actual frame of the gun on the P series (and presumably the VP series?). The result is a noticeable difference in COLOR. The side plates and back strap are very gray while the frame material stays dark black. Texture is relatively consistent. Also note that the tip will transfer the darker color frame material onto the lighter color material if not cleaned off.
Yes you can. The individual tiny points will not get deeper but rather the entire tip will leave an imprinted circle with texture inside of it. Makes a way aggressive grip with the 20LPI Waffle tip. Keep in mind that is one of the biggest mistakes you can make as well, if you go to deep. Most stippling mistakes are correctable, but making a hole in your frame is not one of them.
Was thinking about stippling a "nerf rival" gun. They have some thick plastic on the grip. Do you think its possible? I know its not as tough as polymer but it seems durable enough?
@@Frambhueee If you have an airsoft you are stuck with the higher glass fill, if you have a real glock you are stuck with the lower glass fill.... If you want to run both over with a truck, I don't know which would hold up better. Glock's have been using the same fill for a long time. Newer 'plastic gun' companies have been going toward more glass fill.

mike jones's What good brand has adjustable heat with interchangeable tips?

Thanks for the extra info!
Once I noticed the thumb... I saw nothing else...

OTDefense What happened?
Glad you made it home bro. Semper Fi
Actually you didn't see the thumb either ; )
I would love to see a cobblestone pattern bit.
I would imagine by pressing down a little more while using the 25 Watt you can get a deeper look?

OTDefense much appreciated sir.
I loved the Polymer80 ready mod
This may sound dumb but whatever, can i stipple a Staccato grip just like a glock?
Yes, if you google Stippled Staccato's you'll find them all over. The material is a bit more like a Sig, with higher glass content
Did u buy a chopped frame? If so from where? I'd like to practice before tackling my glocks.
We get them in on occasion at otdefense.com, but they go fast!
Practice on Magpul ar 15 pistol grips or fore end grips... Cheaper than buying frames.
Yes indeed, keep in mind that different materials stipple different. Magpul products have more glass fill and are quite a bit harder then a Glock.
Practice on the glock boxes it helps alot, also if u have a training glock/airsoft/bb gun try those too.

It works, I’ve done it on mine.
Where you get these frames from.
@@HKGunPlay we sell them occasionally on our website. They are police destruction.
@ ok I got a stipple tip from y’all a year or so ago and wanted more was to practice.
Hi, the real glock frame and the airsoft glock frame are the same polimer, at just simple sight?
They are not the same. All the airsoft frames I've done are higher glass fill, more like a Sig
@@OTDefense I see!, Im sorry, maybe this could be a dumb question, but which one its more durable?

@@OTDefense do you think that glock manufacturers should make its frames more like the airsoft ones?, I mean, in durability?
@@Frambhueee I'm not running a multi billion dollar company so I'll let them decide what is best for them
What dremel tool is that?
Similar to the 30w Burner we sell-
Im trying to do my own pistol. Where can I get the tip kit at?
store.otdefense.com, and brownells.com for the basic tip kit.
OTDefense thank you!!
Do you make square tips
Are these tips compatible with a Burnmaster pen? Thanks.
They are not. All our tips have 8-32 threads. We have an adapter for 10-24 threads and 'slip style' soldering irons.
Thank you for responding. I will check out your website.
Very good video however I wish you would redo it in the light .. can’t see anything until you are done and turn it .. found it to be aggravating
Noted- working on my videography skills :) Check out the most recent video on tip options-
Cool
I try do this on polymer box before I do this on my gun
It's looking like 25 Watts is the way to go.
Awesome
Stippled his thumb off
ha... something like that. instagram.com/otdefense gives the details
Fasstv8 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Beaf Supreme Try lightly polishing the mag well with a liquid polish. It might take several attempts.
Nev mind I see you have square
Sweet will order
Video is too dark to be able to appreciate what you are doing.
Say bubble one more time I dare you ;)
$145 for the tip kit. Yeah okay I can pay someone that much to stipple my glock.
Yeah once. Or get a kit then you can stipple as many as you can get your hands on. To each their own
Did you stipple ur thumb
something like that- you can read about it in 'we were one, the marines who took fallujah'
