Today we get a little bit closer to finsihing the old John Deere 410 Backhoe!
All of the fluids are added and now we just need to do a bit of wiring and get the loader put on.

Hey thank you, Lee here from the island, Got my 410 running and drove it home (backwards) 5 miles from the blackberry bushes. disconnected the Forward/reverse lever and switched it at the tranny, so now I have forward also. Until I have time to unstick a few things, like the throttle lever also, which I am currently using a string. LOL. Back bladed about a 1/4 mile of our gravel road for a test. Love it!
Glad to hear it isn't anything to serious! We bought a old international 656 that had been sitting in the trees, the old tractor ran great but every lever/linkage was stuck on it. It took us days to get it all freed up.
Keep me updated on the progress on it and have fun with it!

What is the proper position of the bucket and hoe to check hydraulic oil .
I always have the loader bucket and backhoe bucket flat on the ground with the outriggers down.

Is there a separate power steering reservoir? I seem to have lost power steering.
To be honest I'm not sure, do you have a manual?
