Hey Pokemon Champions, what's going on?! It's Champion Blaze here and to celebrate Ash Ketchum Appreciation Day, I'll be going over what I consider to be the 10 best evolutions out of all of Ash Ketchum's pokemon! From iconic moments like Ash's Metapod evolving into Butterfree to Frogadier evolving into Ash's legendary greninja! Each of these moments was so well done and stood out in their own way!

Incineroar's evolution was my favourite moment from the anime
The episode where Litten evolves into Torracat is one of my favorite Sun and Moon episodes and that sequence was 🔥!!
The torracat evolution is dope!
Evolutions episodes are my favorites. I rewatched clips of those scenes. Like i tear up when i see ashs noibat evolve, ashs frogadier evolved before my 18th birthday before i lost a family member (then that episode dropped in japan), ashs riolu, torracat, sirfetchd, and even tranquil to unfezant.
Also incineroar is ashs last evolved starter
Favorite evolutions from the anime:

Greninja
Goodra
Noivern
Lycanroc
Incineroar
Dragonite
And lucario.
The cool thing about Ash's Caterpie evolving is that it did the actual metamorphosis process of IRL caterpillars by creating its cocoon and then having having Butterfree exit it instead of the now common glow and change
just another charming and unique aspect of OG pokemon!
@ChampionBlaze it was only Ash's Butterfree that has had that for its evolution
Other OS evolution were the glow and change
Not even other Caterpie and worm Pokémon evolutions followed this evolution style
Disappointing as could've been unique to them like May and Jessie's Wurmple evos
@@mazharsiddiqi7288 well jessie and May's Wurmple weren't part of the original series, and there's lots of things from early pokemon, specifically the kanto days, that don't carry over to the orange islands or johto.
The more the success the bigger the budget the better quality of the animation..

What I love about Nando’s Budew evolving into Roselia is ash’s reaction since it’s a new Pokémon that evolves into one he’s already very familiar with.

As someone who’s first Lycanroc was a Dusk Form Lycanroc, seeing Ash’s Rockruff evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc was really a sight to behold! It also kind of reminded me of Ash having his Shiny Noctowl.
Funnily enough, speaking of Chimchar’s evolution, I was actually just rewatching its Snowpoint Gym battle and battle at Lake Acuity just a few days ago!
I know a lot of people felt Chimchar should’ve evolved much earlier, but while I can understand why they felt it should’ve evolved earlier, I kind of respectfully disagree. Because Chimchar being a pure Fire type meant the odds were against Ash in certain times, and especially in Snowpoint City, where Chimchar didn’t have that bonus Fighting type advantage, where he probably would’ve swept Candice’s team much easier. Besides, if Chimchar was a Monferno during that battle, we wouldn’t get to see the adorable and hilarious display of Chimchar snowboarding on that Ice Shard like a skateboard/snowboard! Honestly reminded me of when Chimchar first used Dig while battling Ash’s Turtwig. Then once Chimchar has that staredown with Abomasnow, the towering powerhouse of an Ice type, just after they connected with that Flame Wheel, in the past, Chimchar would’ve probably been terrified. The whole battle felt like a demonstration of how far Chimchar has come with Ash 🔥 It was a perfect showing of Ash and Chimchar’s bond/teamwork, as well as another excellent display of Ash’s trademark battling ingenuity, as well as showing what he’s learned from battling Paul as well, as Ash’s plan was to wear Abomasnow down. Like Brock said about Grotle, Ash took what he learned from Paul’s Torterra, and made it into his own, even with Chimchar.
In my opinion, the Lake Acuity battle was the perfect time for Chimchar to evolve into Monferno, especially before Paul’s very eyes. It was fitting for Paul to witness BOTH of Chimchar’s evolutions into Monferno AND Infernape 🔥 I absolutely loved seeing/hearing that frustration from Paul when Monferno evolved into Infernape 😈 The fact that Chimchar evolved into Monferno after defeating Paul’s overpowered Ursaring without even using Blaze that time was also a great touch! (Granted, Ursaring was paralyzed. So even with Guts, its paralysis cutting Ursaring’s speed gave Chimchar an opening. But still, even Pikachu couldn’t defeat Ursaring)
Some of my other favourites evolutions outside of the ones on this list include Clemont’s Luxio evolving into Luxray in similar fashion and similar scenario where Monferno evolved into Infernape, Bonnie’s Tyrunt evolving into Tyrantrum, Brock’s Happiny evolving into Chansey, Tailow and Staravia’s evolutions into Swellow and Staraptor, etc. Another honourable mention goes to Jessie and James’ Ekans and Koffing evolving into Arbok and Weezing, as well as James Victrebell. Although Ekans and Koffing evolutions weren’t huge changes, it was cool seeing Jessie and James super happy their Pokémon evolved.
Clemont’s Luxio evolving into Luxray was also a great evolution, as I’ve said before, partly because it channels inspiration from Ash and Infernape, but it also shows huge growth from Clemont and how big of a positive impact Ash had on him, even down to bravery! Bonnie taking such good care of Tyrunt, and having such a great bond with it made Tyrunt’s evolution into Tyrantrum really fulfilling too! I don’t remember if it was before or after Squishy came into the picture, but if it was before, it was a great precursor to Zygarde.
Brock’s Happiny evolving into Chansey tied in with Brock’s decision to become a Pokémon Doctor perfectly, and was also a perfect connector with Brock and his soulmate, Nurse Joy 😂 All in all, it truly felt like a nice touch to signify that Brock’s own journey has finally come full circle, and has been completed.
As for Swellow and Staraptor, Swellow was a great adrenaline moment that brought out one of Ash’s aces in the Hoenn region. Staraptor’s evolution is also awesome, as it delivered Ash’s first true triumph over Paul 😈 Especially fitting, because Paul wondered why Ash even caught it when it was a Starly. NOW Paul knows why. It’s even doubly brilliant in hindsight when you remember Paul’s brother, Reggie, also has a Staraptor, and Paul even said that Ash reminds him of his older brother. It was arguably Ash’s first real step in not only catching up to Paul, but also in potentially leading Paul to rethinking his ways.
