Rather than duplicating stacks and stacks of runaway mold, and then refining that into nanites, start with one portable refiner, and fill it with Runaway mold. Then fuel the refiner and process them into nanites. Repeat this until the refiner can hold no more nanites (4095.) NOW start laying down duplicate refiners. Everything in that first refiner will be duplicated. Any leftover fuel any leftover mold and all those nanites. this gets even easier if you have a freighter.. without a freighter every refiner you pick up will go into your exosuit storage and you will run out of space quickly. If you have a freighter every refiner you pick up goes into its cargo space instead. I did this trick using tainted metal rather than runaway mold as it refined much quicker, and has a higher rate of return. With multiple refiners going at the same time I was able to generate several million nanites in just under an hour.
On the personal refiner dupe, there is a bonus trick. Refine a stack of runaway mold till you hit the full stack of nantes. Leave the nantes in the refiner, top off the stack of mold, and top off the carbon. Stack new refiners on top ( I find it gets doesn't always work with more than 10) then delete all of the refiners rapidly. It will dupe the mold, carbon, and nantes times the number of refiners. Rinse and repeat.
I know an even faster way but I'm not saying anything in public anymore. All the good glitches get patched because we show Hello Games everything we know.
Faster way for the refiner item dupe: Instead of placing 1 extra refiner and opening its inventory to pull out the dupe, place 3 or more refiners on top of the first, and then just pull them all up rather than opening them.
If you are swimming in Nanites you can copy whatever multi tool and ship you had at the end of an expedition and take the mods out of each scrap them and repeat
the portable refiner glitch has an easier way to do it. put one down and fill it, put as many as you want EXACTLY on top of the first refiner (make them match at the feet till the new refiner turns green) but dont fill the other refiners, then just hold the button down that recalls the refiners (on pc its middle mouse button) and it will multiply with each refiner picked up. rinse and repeat. i normally do 25+ portable refiners at a time. on a side note turn off multiplayer (less risk of being discovered and patched)
One thing i noticed yesterday that may count as a glitch or weird feature, about starting an expedition within a save. If you dont know in the space anomaly you can start an expedition and start with some items and once you are im the expedition you can recieve your items you put in the space anomaly. But you can also copy your ship or multitool and not just that but there is no limit to copying your ship or tool and the same goes for when you finish the expedition you can also copy your tool and ship from the expedition how many times you like mostly for 1k natines and then you have multiple copies of the same ship or multitool on your save (which can include special ships like the ones from expedition)
A couple of tips for refiner glitch, change to first person mode and as long as you don't move your character you can interact with the refiner adding your item/items and when you drop the next refiner it will line up exactly in it's own foot print everytime. You can as many refiners as you wish then hit the pick-up button until you pick up all refiners and all counterfeit wares, no need to manually empty the refiners. Also if you have 3 refiners you can glitch more by putting one into a refiner then glitch with the second, then dupe again and again until you have as many as you need. I usually make 10 total for easy math but do you. Also i saw many mentions of refining mold for nanites but if you want to speed things up then refine larval core (refines much faster than mold) but make sure to leave a full stack in the input so you get more to refine on round 2. I'd suggest 10 refiners for this method, and if you're low on carbon no matter what you're counterfeiting, fill the fuel with carbon to dupe that as well. And just like the nanites you can process anything to get more each process for example: refine sodium to sodium nitrate until the output is full then fill the input with the same or something different, say ionized cobalt if you want and fuel up with carbon for a triple shot dupe. And as mentioned you can't dupe opened upgrade modules anymore in the refiner but there are other methods that are a bit trickier using a exocraft space anomaly glitch that should be easy to find on RUclips.
So this works with any crashed ship but for obvious reasons robot ships (Sentinel Ships) are the best choice (more units) This also has the best results with $ Class or even A Class (better chance on ship storage and A or $ Class upgrades to sell for nanites. i wouldn't bother with C and B really unless you have no other options. Step 1 : find a crash site, interact with it but don't claim it ( you won't even need shards, mirrors, or brains either) set up a base with 2 landing pads, position one very close to the crashed ship or even above it works sometimes. I build a teleport in the base as well. Step 2 : get in your ship and fly to space or the space station would be good if you haven't been there yet so you can teleport later. Fly back to your base and land on the extra landing pad away from the ship. With in a short time the ship will either take off and land on the pad or a NPC pilot will appear there with the ship still on the ground. Interact with the NPC and claim the ship for free. Step 3 : teleport or fly if you wish to the SS, sell the ship then get in and exit your ship to set a restore point and reload the restore point. Step 4 : fly Don't teleport back to your base and land and rinse and repeat as often as you wish, the same ship and NPC will be there again to give you another ship until you're tired or filthy rich. Tips : sometimes the ship will take off and fly away never to return, could be a timing issue ( just like in the SS NPC's get impatient and fly off before you get to them) or the pad needs a new position if it always flys away. If it only happens occasionally just reload your restore point from right there on the pad, if always try rebuilding your pad in a different position and reload restore point. If you don't know the best way to hunt S or A Class robot ships is echo locater and drop a base computer at the camp to return and roll the dice again.
Did find an interesting possible glitch/exploit, ideal for short expeditions, if your want to duplicate a ship, make that ship active, start an expedition from the terminal in the nexus, then once you can get the anomaly in the expedition, reclaim the ship, then keep this active when you complete the expedition... You can then repurchase the ship over and over for nanites at the expedition terminal (at least until the expedition ends)
I had a bit of a nothing burger glitch where I can duplicate Staff crafting component. When you put all the staff components and look at the resulting class, cancel it and *sometimes* it takes time to return to the crafting window. In that brief moment, talk to one of the NPCs and now you can't access the terminal. Reload from savepoint (likely when you exited from your ship). Access the terminal and there are the three staff components still in the slots while not taken from your inventory.
That is actually pretty useful 😎❤️ But can you make a new video about how to get freighter upgrades "other than the ones that you buy with salvaged frigate modules" ?
Sending your Frigates on Missions will yield those upgrades, and if you have Organic frigates theyll bring organic specefic mods for your Living Ship. I hope this helps :)
The refiner glitch used to let you dupe ANYTHING. Now it won't let you put tech items in there. You used to be able to find the best ship part and dupe it to get a set of 3, but no longer.
I know u said not glitch building but one of 5ye best glitches to get items u don't have or not in your system is the wire build glitch. If u select an item to build and press the button to swap to wire and place at the same time while moving the camera slightly... U can place items wo having the resources and deconstruct them to get the resources. This works great plants bc one has indium n u can get the drive b4 having cadmium.

I disagree, mostly. There's a decent number of players who absolutely love the game but find just a certain few things too monotonous or tedious to be worth their time. As the game is primarily about solo exploring and discovery for most people, I say why judge? I personally like the challenge offered by needing to collect and store the necessary resources to craft or build the things I want, and I *want* things to cost money and/or crafting materials...BUT I find things like grinding derelict freighters for frigate modules and digging up thousands of salvageable scrap to be so incredibly and needlessly tedious. I use dupe glitches for very few things, but I'm glad they exist when I do. It's easier than turning craft/purchase cost off and on constantly, especially since you can only do so from your main game if during an expedition
I agree somewhat but if you play permadeth and want a quick bump you don't have the option to turn on free building and purchasing, so glitches are the next best option. Not that I do that of course, I'm no pirate 🤥😅
