Also, anxiety is much more than being scared of people and social situations. I learned about death and mortality at age of 3 cuz my great-grandma died and I developed death anxiety. It's really common for children when they first learn about death by witnessing it, the concept of death and being gone forever was too much for my mind. I was constantly worried about me or my family member dying until I grew out of it by the age of 9 or 10. It happens to many kids and it's not fun at all, you have no right to call anyone weird for it.
For me I feel like my anxiety would be either 1. hiding in a corner 2. going crazy wondering about all the negative things that could possibly happen just from one minor inconvenience and wrecking the entire place (anxiety attack)

Where were all these new emotions in the first movie? The first movie implied that Joy, Fear, Disgust, Sadness, and Anger were the only ones and every other emotion was just an expression of these. We saw into the adult’s brains as well as other teenagers and none had anxiety or any other emotions that Riley didn’t already have.
Maybe for certain people these new emotions either disappear or they just completely stay, with the adults they we're probably completely content with their lives and AOK so they didn't have other emotions like anxiety.
