Dragonball Z Kakarot Glitch Tutorial - How to free roam as Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks

- This is an old trick I never uploaded, but it still works as of ver 1.11
When you free roam as regular Gotenks, he has Super Saiyan 3 unlocked but he cannot put the transformation on. So you have to get Super Saiyan 3 another way.
By turning your controller off at specific points you can force the game to load areas and specific scenes for a longer time, allowing you to see characters before scenes play AND give you control at the same time where you wouldn't normally.
Here you can practically turn your controller off anywhere during the scene after Buu exists the time chamber, including the loading screen to force Gotenks to show up before the next scene starts after the loading screen ends.
You can also do this through specific menus like Whis' training. You can get Vegeta to try and learn Super Saiyan 3 but the game freezes either at the start or end of the fight.

I got the gotenks in over world to appear just didn't click the map button fast enough. I'm amazed that this glitch wasn't patched.

If that was how this worked, I could’ve made a whole discovery lmao because vegito appeared in the over world for a split second
Hey I saw you did model swaps in budokai 1 a long time ago. Do you know which files to move around? Like if I wanted to replace gokus regular model to be the saiyan armor one, or maybe make 3rd form freiza over normal frieza, etc.
Use games graphics studio and all the characters are named/numbered. You can see the character/costume by the texture. I don't remember much since I haven't done it in ages.
chaospunishment yea I just opened it with the ps2 iso. But I’m trying to mod the gamecube version and it doesn’t work with it lol. But no worries 👍🏻
Never tried any gamecube mods before. I can't imagine it would be that different inside but I think that program is specifically for reading PS2 files.

Never understood why majin vegeta, and prince vegeta were separate characters in raging blast 2

Hi, Im trying to mod raging blast 2, I was wondering if you could help. I extracted the models and edited Legendary Super Saiyan Broly to his DBS Version, All I need is help reimporting back to the game.
We are having the same problem, we can't get them back into the original files it needs to be in for them to work.

I still find it kinda weird that they patched base gotenks (as far as I know) but they didn't patch ssj3 gotenks
SS3 Gotenks is also the only time machine level this particular pause works with. I've tried it on basically every stage and it only works here as far as I can tell.
@@chaospunishment I almost had majin vegeta but it just gives you a load screen or a majin vegeta screen but you can't really do anything but look at it.
But that was in the time machine hopefully if you do it in the story you get majin vegeta free roam

How did u turn off your controller instantly?
Go to the "turn off" option, close the menu by pressing the ps button. Then hold the ps button again and it opens the menu to click right away. The PS4 Video doesn't show the menu.

I got enemies to appear around his area but they don't come for you.
You turn into Gohan in every scene afterwards.
I want to play with Teen Gohan Ssj2 in the free roam

I don't know where you are turning your controller off. Try the same points as the video. It works everywhere.

You can switch during the scene at the end of the God fight but it just unlocks the transformation/attack with whoever started it and makes Beerus/Whis disappear with the other. So if you didn't get God with the character you switched to it's locked forever.

Although it still stands that the developers really love screwing actual opportunities to give Vegeta ssj3 seriously that woulda been the perfect way to give it too him

Trunks should have SS2 as well as Piccolo having anything else too. Just wasted opportunities for more Goku/Vegeta time.
Kakarot is an insultingly easy overrated game
I wish they would add a difficult setting.
