Raiden also battled continuously for 500 years. But she was a true archon. While Furina did so just as a normal person. That's like asking an ant to lift up the elephant. And she managed to do so. She may be human but her conscious is comparable to that of an archon.
I see a lot of people saying she is not an archon or not an archon anymore. But really a god is defined by their deeds not power. Her feat of the 500 year orchestra to save fontaine would make her worthy of ascending to godhood if the hydro archon seat still existed. She is as much of an archon as Focalors, they are parts of the same person afterall.
Raiden in her Profile about Furina did say that her effort is comparable to a god, all the other archon also praises her highly for all Furina did in 500 years
The English VA seriously hits home this whole ordeal. You hear how she sounds so innocent in the beginning and then you start to hear how tired and lonely she gets as years and years go by of putting up the same act over and over again. Furina may not be a true god, but she played this role of a god perfectly as imperfect as she was.
when I started her Story Quest and heard her voice, it sounds completely different, it sounds like she's emotionally exhausted. I myself had to wear a mask for years so I know how mentally and emotional tiring it must have been, but doing so for 500 funking years is just pure torture. I'm surprised that she didn't go insane or become so delusional that she believed her own lie and think she herself is the real archon.
For a human brain, to work continuously for 500 years must be unimaginable pain. She couldn't even die if she wanted to because her real divinity is alive. I literally felt sad for the first time in Genshin. Just how much pressure of work she endured without breaks for 500 years. Damn she has my respect. There is gonna beee no player who is gonna hate her. She even kept her identity hidden for 500 years which just tells how much crazy willpower she has, that too feeling the pain all alone and not even telling anyone about it so that her nation Fontaine is saved.
D*mn it! Why did it took me long to say she reminded me of Otto Apocalypse but she was the star of the nation rather than the villain. This could have gotten the other way around and way darker as Otto went against the world and would've damned it all if not for certain people (Theresa etc) reviving his "kind" self. MHY is doing a good job by splitting Otto's characterization. This just makes me love Otto more. I really do feel for characters having to stand alone. More so with Otto having to play the part of the villain. He was completely alone in the end. D*MN!
Keep in mind she was cursed by Focalors to be technically temporarily immortal. So if anything whatever effects the curse has it probably increased her human brain capacity but also made her mentally unstable. she's a human now so she could try and forget and cope all of that.
I'm honestly surprised she didn't become a vegetable after Focalors died. A human brain isn't supposed to last for that long, but since this is fictional there is some leeway.
18:07 She's crying because she remembers meeting that relative 20 generations ago. She knows just how long she has lived and put on this act only for no end to be in sight. And she has no choice but to continue putting on a front wondering how many more generations of families will come and go before they can be saved.
It was in the prophecy, if you remember according to the 3rd slate. The Fontainians will challenge the Hydro Archon to a trial, and thus triggering the final slate, the great flood.
@@coloraturawhite892so basically the Traveler and the Fontaine cast caused the flood to happen by putting Furina in a trial. Ok another reason to hate them aside from traumatizing Furina.
@@Blue-CodeWhat is there to hate them for? It's not like they can control the prophecy. A trial and consequent flood were destined to happen. Plus Furina was finally set free. You think if they'd asked her upfront she'd reveal her secrets? Obviously not. Neuvillette and the traveller tried many times.
The tally marks on the act title cards got me good. Also god damn, Furina's English VA killed it for this whole section. The trial too. Her breaking in and out of character mid-sentence, from word to word, oh man, that's really good.
You know the insanity is boiling up in her mind when you see the title cards completely covered with tally marks. Honestly would've been no surprise if they would've made her fall insane by the end of the quest, and our job would be to help her out of it.
6:23 the fact that she was actually super polite, it breaks my heart that those people and their harsh comments effectively creative the mental prison that Furina had to stay in, and the fact that her original self was honestly very polite and kind and seemed like they would have been a just and fair “god” that would have genuinely looked out for her people and taken their feelings into account, even saying how she would take suggestions, meaning she wanted to work with her people not above them Someone get this poor baby a hug, I’m atleast glad that Neuvilette said that he would make sure all her needs would be met and paid for, meaning she doesn’t have to work, she can truly just relax and enjoy the rest of her life, I hope she finds love and finds a family that she can be her true self with But also after seeing how the people do Fontaine treated Furina, and how they treated the Melusines at the beginning, I’m like “nah let them dissolve and save only a few.”
Yeah. These Fontainians would hate Nahida. Thankfully even if the People knew of her "weakened state" from Rukkadevata, she's valued for her Wisdom which after her first Story mission. The people likely do not doubt her wisdom at all.
@@theanonymous5065i think becoming oceanid mean losing yourself , look at people in poisson. They lost all of their former humanity expect for Navia bodyguards
Suprised no one's talking about this, so here we go. The fact that Furina is very much the only person "on stage" conveys a LOT. Whenever someone other than her talks, only spotlights show up in place of a person. Even if there were a big audience, we see literally no one else but her and Focalor because she had no one to truly confide in for 500 years. She was cursed to be alone for that long, and seeing how there's no one else around her from her viewpoint really hits it in the feels.
The fact that the Traveler DOES show on stage proves that Furina has finally found someone she can trust, which makes it bittersweet. Also, the fact that the Furina from the Archon Quest shows up in her thoughts shows that it's the "real her" and that she's free at long last.
After finishing the Archon quest, I think it's safe to say that Furina's true intentions and backstory resonates with almost anyone. She is a human that was forced to take on a role she had little knowledge of, put on a mask for the sake of appearance, and face the internal struggles between telling someone her true purpose for the sake of her sanity (an act of selfishness) versus keeping her true purpose hidden for the sake of saving an entire nation who she knew would eventually turn on her when they find out (an act of selflessness). We can relate to her in a sense that there are just some struggles we face internally that no one may know about, and that we must put on a "act" of sorts to keep people from suspecting. Among the Archons we have met so far, Furina is one that I can truly relate to the most, and the EN VA's portrayal and performance was truly magnificent. EDIT: I also wanted to point out that the scene where Furina cried to herself alone was literally THE DAY BEFORE that next scene with the Traveler. Those two days, especially the day of the trial, must have been the most excruciating pain to her and her mental state. She really wanted to see this through to the very end and was even ready to die for the safety of the people. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Furina’s character is relatable, since all of us experience the struggles in our life, but we are once decided to hide our problems from everyone, thinking that they need to meet the expectations of what the society wanted: which is to be ‘perfect’
As gay man who live in closet at homophpbic country, i relate a lot to her. I hide my true self for more than 25 years, its kinda hurt me in the soul because i keep lying to people near me.
@@agnichannel1466 I relate to that... even being in a seemingly accepting country such as the united states, the people here can be awful to others like me. I still don't feel like I can be my true self without feeling like everything will crumble around me. I hope that one day we can be our real selves and truly live life to the fullest. I wish you well ❤
@@marcyus-q4s As can I, I act all confident and laid back when in actuality, I get easily worried if I feel i've said the wrong thing - even to the point of stumbling over my own words, or constantly trying to rephrase what I want to say. Or easily irritated when I see people acting all innocent when they cause trouble and then act the victim. I just try to hide it because I don't want to be pitied
She honestly looked so broken when she cried without noticing, as if she's only do this out of her moral obligation to save the hopes and the future for the people of Fontaine
19:15 as soon as i hear this, I immediately recognized that this is the crying voice we hear in the fountain of lucine... So it was from her 😢😢 welp Furina, aren't we all... Aren't we all...
That breakdown she had…was only a day before we talked to her. The last scene numbers when divided by 365 is 499.66 which can’t be a coincidence being so close to the 500 years she has suffered, so it’s safe to say a scene is equal to a day. The difference between the last two scene numbers, was just 1…Furina really was at her breaking point
18:59 "A manifestation of your power, then" After knowing her backstory, I like to think that while it's obvious the lady is talking about "the manifestation of her control over Hydro", you, the player, could take this a manifestation of her *willpower*. Her will to still perfom her act even when she's realized that she's below her human mental limit.
Living 500 year is no big deal for some magical user, ancient being, divine subject and all of subjects that didn't bound with mortality is an easy thing. but living 500 years as an ordinary human is like living inside slow torture machine. you witness so many death, you witness so many suffering, you witness a lot of changes that might confuse you. it's suffocating and depressing at same time.
Sad thing is that that’s the case for Focalors. She made Furina, and the next she’ll now have to sacrifice herself. Like time just… zipped by. And I feel that’s what Furina wished - for her to still keep the façade somewhat but not suffer every single day.
now imagine for one moment that you're her, then imagine the thought that the performance you have made for 500 years was for nothing as the people finally realizes you're but an impostor playing god, not knowing your suffering for a plan not even you could fathom, let alone them
I cannot comprehend on how much I want to LET THOSE PEOPLE DROWN like tf??? Imagine like IMAGINE all your hard work, passion, and importance of a role that you have been cultivating for FIVE FUCKING HUNDRED YEARS be dissolved and thinking you fucked up
Yeah I was like WTF? And I'm sure her sense of time was still that of a normal human. Which means that not only must she stick to a false role but also count the days.
the moment furina said that she looks forward to the final trial made me emotional- She was waiting to end her role as an archon all these years, to finally return to her true self and away from the act
The voice acting is just impeccable on any language. You can tell that she's still an amateur from the voice alone in the first few days she became the "false archon". But as days go on, she became more and more sassy and brat-like like the first-time we met her, yet all of that were done to hide her enormous pain of pretending to be someone else other than her for hundreds of years long. Fortunately, the best gift for her is to make her be able to be herself and learn to live as an actual human being. Her gift was freedom.
Not gonna lie the female archons have do something in common Ei isolating herself for 500 years Nahida's imprisonment for 500 years And Furina's masquerade lasting for 500 years Yet the most enduring one is Furina that fact she remained Immortal despite being human and almost losing her sanity for every act she has done 24/7
Character of Furina is a masterpiece, standing applause for whoever wrote it I admire Anglish VA as much, I love the changes in Furina's voice, how it changes from theatrical, confident voice to a quiet, worried, delicate one Furina is one of my fav characters and I wish to hug her and become friends with her so much. I think that no one could understand my depression better than her
19:04 ..., this part, this part broke me and impacted me for some time. I just finished the mission and... JESUS. Fontaine has the best narrative that genshin had in the main story by far and the character of Furina is very sad... Being honest, i had a character development with her. When the models of the fontaine characters leaked, being honest, i was just interested in Furina because of the design. The the "Celebrating the grand finale" teaser came in, when i heard her voice in that video... I wss angry, like "Shit, shes a brat that i have have to throw against a wall..." But, at least my interest in other characters was growing. Then I arrive to Fontaine, she greets me and my honest reaction was... "Shes a walking meme and is obvios that shes acting", which already sold the character for me, and during the 1st and 2nd act this confirmed even more. 4.1 arrives, with the acts 3rd and 4th, apart from the inportant and interesting information that they give us, in the reunion with Arlechino, i agreed with her in one thing, something is going on with Furina, and after finishing the 4.1 story, i arrived ti the conclusion that she actually had a plan, and that shes acting in a way to cope with the propechy and at the same time, to not worry her people but... The truth endes up being worse (in the sense of whats happening). After Everything that happens in the 5th act, cornering Furina in a trial, making people doubt her and making the propechy true in the process... Then, Focalos appears and explains everything to Neuvillete in her perspective, while ME was in Furinas head watching the same plan, but in her perspective, the fact that she talks in her "role" and then you see words popping up with contents like "Please, dont look at me", "Turn the light off, PLEASE", "Turn the lights off so i can be myself again". This part was concerning enough to make me undestand the situation she is in, but when i turn off the lights... The TRUE show begin. Then i witnessed her story, when she met Focalors in the mirror telling her that she has to act like an Archon in order to the nation to be saved and that she will suffer... A LOT. Furina accepts, because she wants to save everyone and she starts her "role" as the Hydro Archon. Everything goes well for now, as we see her doing her routine, everything, bit by bit you start seeing that shes getting tired and MORE tired, she starts to feel imprisioned as the centuries passed, everytime you see the panel for the next act, you can see the days marked on the wall like s prisioner will do, being at one point, only be this in the panel. Then 19:04 comes in... She cant hold her suffering, she just cant, but she smiles , she has to mantain in the role at all cost... When i saw this part, looked her in the eyes, her tears, and how she was smiling... My first thought was "She is broken". After this i wanted to hug her, tell her that shes not alone... but i couldnt, because she HAS TO ENDURE IT, ALL BY HERSELF, and that... Saddened me, but i have to keep going. We kill the narwal, Skirk appears, lore bombes are dropped but i feel happy and very tired, physically and mentally because of everything that i saw... The only complaint with this whole mission is that Hoyoverse wanted to finish it in the 5th act (i dont konw why, sumeru was fine with 6 acts, all is explained in those acts) and by doing so, the mission is SUPER LONG, cinematic after cinematic, a lot of information without any rest was exausting... But i manage to undestand everything for the most part. When i finish Furinas legendary mission, i will pull for her, put her in my teapot, bring to her all the cake she wants and gave her the happy life that she yearned and DESERVES And if something happens to her, i will throw someone against the wall. Hope that all of you can get furina as well, and thank you for reading this.
I remember all those stories about one being turning immortal and losing their humanity to become detached or cold, which help support time running longer. But Furina ? She's "Only" Humanity, Focalor's. She can never lose what she only is for she would disappear. She had to endure 500 years of distress and fakeness as a human who couldn't lose her emotions, no matter how long time passed.
And for them, they can still do whatever they wish. They just won’t die. For Furina’s case tho, she can’t live for herself. Playing as another character for 500 years… I can’t imagine how painful.
Each and every Archon have emotions, though. The difference is they have souls and willpowers sufficient enough for their psychologically stable nigh-eternal existence.
23:30 The fact that she would have said no, just because she wasnt sure thatd be save to tell the Traveler. Thats the moment where she became a true Archon for me.
It's tragic. She's shouldered the responsibility of her role for so long, putting Fontaine and its peoples future first every day for 500 hundred years to the point where it probably almost destroyed her several times. And the one time she could confide in someone... the one time she could share the load and lessen the burden... she doesn't take it. Having played her role for to long and being to afraid of the fallout if she slipped up... she now no longer has the strength to actually think about HERSELF for once.
It's truly impressive that under that kind of burden that she had to carry, with no end in sight, no one to confide in, unable to escape to the sweet release of death, and hearing throughout the centuries that there is no alternative way to avert the doomsday, that she did not go absolutely insane. Furina deserves all the love and respect for doing her duty unwaveringly for 500 years.
18:58 Jeez man, you can see the pain in her face. The way it looks like she’s trying to keep her mouth closed and her twitching eye. It really drives home the “I’m not okay but I must pretend to be.”
I was holding my tears during the entire quest, when this part 23:25 starts, i cant resist anymore. Im a grown up 20 years old was crying for her. Feel bad for her. I thought she would share her true feelings to the traveler. But she still doing her role consistently to prevent the prophecy. Imagine 500 years resist all the pain and suffering. No friend, cant share her secret, and no elemental power. Justa an ordinary human. and one day someone offered you a help. Furina knows the consequence if she share her true feeling to traveler, she scared the prophecy will happen if she do it. She lost the opportunity to make friend at that time. Once again she lives in her lie world and wearing Mask again. But thanks to Focalors. that moment was one of the last time she suffering.
20:40 was what that destroyed me. she was in so much pain and yet she kept hold on to that hope, like she was directionlessly floating and her mirror-me was a barely visible light, hoping for a reply but noone's there
I used to be one of those haters, now,I feel nothing but sorrow and pity for her. When the lady said "20 generations ago" I just want to cry along. This is so depressing.
@@gashousesgeekhouse2851 at first i’m just annoyed at her attitude but never hated her because i knew there’s something going on which causes her to act like that. And… my assumptions are correct. Her story is so sad and leaving me in a realm of longing emptiness till now 😢
They just havent finished the archon quest yet, and its an intentional misdirection from genshin to make us think otherwise so idk not rly their fault tbh
The saddest part is that she is not enduring this like Raiden as an Archon, she is simply a mere mortal in this state. For hundreds of years, she suffered the curse of the foretold prophecy, and yet she couldn't even pray to anyone, as she is now the new deity.
I did useless math and counted 308 tally marks visible on 17:45 Which which is 592.126623377 times less than the actual number of days that happened (182,375 Days), which is still a lot and hella sad
@@mochiandturtles5642 oh definitely, considering she has a human mind. If that were me, i'd already lost count before i reach fifty let alone a hundred.

her va did so amazing... the amount of strength and courage to do this for 500 years straight is godlike by itself. i felt so bad doing that trial, but i guess that was the final trial she was hoping for after so long, and now shes finally free... also honestly, the traveler and paimon should at least give furina an apology. they were kinda rude to her during her story quest, and not to mention the aq trial... but that was the trial she was waiting for a long time i guess even if it hurt her a lot
I now understand the curse that is placed upon Furina and khaenrians Being immortal for such a long time can be lonely isolated and emotionless or being crazy that u cant die
Her VA did an incredible job voicing Furina. You can feel her pain that has only continued to fester during those five hundred years. Her own pain that she desperately wanted to share with someone couldn't be shared without the expense of Fontaine. Her life was hell, it was painfully tied to this role that she had to take the shape of until it was no longer a role but truly her so it would all work out. I love her so much, her story is just so painful yet beautiful. She was the first character that caught my eyes and mostly the one who made me interested in Fontaine, and she remains so. She will always be one of the best characters in my eyes.
Fontaine chapter and especially Furina's story was something that changed my thoughts about the whole game. I can't really explain it, but it made me feel really deep things.
I think some people still cannot comprehend 500 years, so: 500 years ago was the year 1524 In 500 years, we will be in the year 2524 Furina truly deserves the world
The only time I cried in genshin impact. Damn, Furina and Focalors. You really grew out in me. Since Furina was made directly from Focalors and is her divided human part that looks exactly like her, then she isn't just random human.
23:30 was the most iconic moment for me. And 23:50 have a very different vibe playing as Lumine in JP dub. It hit really hard that when Furina refused to give up, and JP Lumine just went, ‘Un’ it implied that Lumine understood what Furina wanted to convey. “I know what I’m doing, you just have to trust me.” And JP Lumine _respected_ that. The tone just said it all, it was I.CO.NIC. I think that’s why in Furina SQ, Traveler had the thought of asking her for help when it comes to performances. Furina had that pride for her acting, no matter how much she suffered. Traveler initially didn’t have any idea that Furina wanted to stop performing altogether until she said so. I’m actually surprised that Aether in 23:50 sounded so annoyed. 😅😅😅 No wonder they called him rude to Furina. My JP Lumine made me feel like they bonded a bit at that moment. This EN Aether _is_ rude. 😂
need to differ with you, the one they found it rude is not this dialogue, this "fine" is more like the frustration of traveler felt that he wasn't trusted enough by furina, he even wished to help furina if she just being honest there, the "rude" part that people said is the trial one, when the whale sucking everything but traveler run towards her only to said "I want the answer", honestly the VA is not at fault here, more like the translation and voice director asking traveler to sounds like that :D
@@leithejudgeI don’t even blame the VAs themselves. I agree with you that the EN sub and the EN dub direction really flopped on this arc. 😂 But, if we’re talking about Traveler ‘just caring’ about getting answers when Furina is on the verge of execution, don’t you think that’s because even if they did execute Furina, no one still knows how to stop the Prophecy? Furina obviously knew something that no one else does. But she wasn’t speaking. So if it means seeming like insensitive, Traveler was still somehow subtly trying to save Fontaine. I love Furina as much as the next person, and ever since 4.0 too. But people are babying Furina so much, they forget that Furina did make a lot of mistakes and couldn’t help save Poisson. Not entirely her fault, but for the people, by then, as she was their only hope for salvation, they were expecting her to save them. And she wasn’t doing anything. Traveler had as much trust in Furina as the people of Fontaine then, because Traveler, at that point in time, hasn’t witnessed Furina’s memories yet. Also, I watched some of the EN dub for Furina’s Story Quest. It was abominable! Gurl’s VA was going for timid and humble, while Paimon and Traveler was just going ham on her. 🥹 I’m telling you, this wasn’t that Furina I encountered in JP. She fought back as much as Paimon and Traveler bantered with her. They literally sounded like long time friends 🥹🥹🥹 The EN direction really flopped on this one 😂

This part of the whole quest just broke me. I felt terrible when we betrayed her in the trial part but I was DEVASTATED when I saw all of this. I admit, first appearance, I thought she was another arrogant Fischl. I didn't like her as much as the other archons- SHE DID NOT DESERVE THISSS!!!!
Yeah. Even though my own experience with putting up an act and concealing my flaws was only for an year, mostly because I was an insecure, lonely wreck who craved perfection from myself, It was HELL. I would not wish it on anyone. Even though Furina isn't a real person, this quest made me feel very bad for her, because, to a lesser extent, I understand. The fear of showing that you just aren't good enough, the dread that breaking the masquerade will make everyone hate you for 'lying', the pressure from not seeing yourself as good enough... And Furina did that for 500 YEARS. I...I felt so uncomfortable even imagining it...
Navia, Focalors, Furina and Neuvillete are simply peak of genshin impact and in my personal opinion, Furina was the best of the best. I was absolutely moved, I want a happy ending for her but it is true that part of what caused such a stir in the community is that the ending is not completely happy... It left several scars on several characters. Navia managed to save Spinna di Rossula and cooperated in the salvation of Fontaine but along the way she lost her father, discovered that she was betrayed by people close to her and lost 2 of her best friends and most trusted servants. Focalors lived from day 1 when she became an archon, imprisoned for 500 years only to prepare her suicide to deceive Celestia and give happiness to her people. Neuvillete always felt distant from humans, finally he managed to understand them and recover his original power... But he was seriously distressed to see so much sacrifice made by Furina and Focalos just for him to recover his powers and give his verdict of innocence to the citizens of Fontaine, in addition, of the serious depression that immortal entities usually have. And Furina, ufff, Furina. The 500-year act is already one thing but it is explained to you that for hundreds of years she did everything she could to prevent the prophecy. She spread informants throughout Teyvat to gather information against the prophecy, Furina traveled through the 7 nations of Teyvat without managing to find anything and Furina invested in the scientific community of Fontaine so that they would find something to counter the prophecy with Science but NOTHING worked, then Neuvillete shows her the list of Spinna di Rossula's dead and Furina understood that all her efforts were being useless, people were still dying and the only thing she could do was continue acting like a goddess, in addition, they also explain to you what to act for so many years she mentally broke her in such a way that she no longer knows what she was like originally, she only knows her personality when it comes to acting as an archon, she was attacked by Arlecchino leaving her traumatized, doubted by her own people and the cherry on the top int the depression cake is that Furina never asked for some fame in exchange for this... Simply, according to Neuvillete, after hearing the end of Focalors, she just sighed saying that she was tired of everything and packed her things to live like a normal person. Charllote offered her an interview to tell everything and Neuvillete possibly would have been open to helping Furina spread the news about everything she sacrificed... But she simply rejected those 2 opportunities. She simply accepted a normal life without any kind of pleasure in a city where they will never be aware of everything she also did for it while the spotlight will focus on Navia, those who found the gigantic ark that Wriothesley used and in Neuvillete. That's what I call a hero... And a tragic one at that, since even though people still seem to love her and applaud her in theaters, it's just that, theater. Furina knows that no one applauds her for who she is, Furina has no friends and if you have her as a character you will know very well that she is a very lonely person. She always wanted friends but being an archon made her a very lonely person since people put her on a pedestal where no one wanted to get close to her because they thought that being friends with a goddess like her was impossible. According to her elemental ability, in the background there is a text that explains that usually on Wednesdays she suffers attacks of melancholy and says that she would like to have friends to eat cake with her and says that surely one day she will have someone like that. Furina's need for friends is such that she developed a personal attachment to her hydro creations that she uses in her elemental ability... Oh my god Hoyoverse, what a character they just made.
I feel soo bad for her honestly. At first when Nahida said she had a "unique personality" i thought that was just her character and that she really is the archon. But it turns out it was all acted out in pure pain.

Jeez...this hit differently. It's well written but i feel bitter she had to go through all that. i hope karma swing back to bring goodness in her life to establish balance.
So yes, at first it seems 500 years isn't that much. Nahida was trap for almost all that time to, Raiden fought herself for 500 years to, Venti and Zhongli have lived for thousands of years. However, all of them have different bodies and minds and were not all alone, had to hide a terrible secret or needed to pretend to be someone else while being powerless. I bet gods or demigods like Ganyu who had Adeptus blood can resist all that work stress because of being half adeptus. Furina however is like "us" no powers, no superhuman streght or resistance, not an enchanted brain to resist all that stress. She was a normal human who was all alone for half a millenia. Imagine if you could live hundres of years, you would be so done with life, that is why by the end of the trial she was somewhat relief to be executed. She was ready to embrace the sweet touch of death for her terrible torture was about to come to an end.... This archon quest was amazing beyond belief! Can't wait to have that leaked option to repeat the archon and story quest as much as you want and also i can't wait for the anime to come out.
@@noe4354No💀, Venti and Zhongli are canonically the oldest, the youngest Archon is Nahida (we are literally told in Liyue Archon Quest that she is the youngest)
@@noe4354 Venti and Zhongli are the oldest archons. Venti might even be older than Zhongli since he existed far before he took a physical form but they only take into account the years he lived since the defeat of Decarabian.
I think lots of people can relate with Furina... We are always for everyone. But there is no one who could be always for us We are still smiling even if we are mentally broken, but no one seeing this or consider this as a problem
What is worse is that in her story quest, she never got the love and respect she deserved after all this hell she went through. Sure, people were happy to work with her and got an ovation in the Opera, but I was expecting something like whole Fontaine thanking her for all thinks she did, that she lied to the people but not because of selfishness but to protect them all, or at least the main characters trying to cheer her up or something like that (considering the characters made Fontaine find out she wasnt an archon, an almost screwing up everything without knowing the story of Focalors with Furina, not even Neuvillete knew that). I hope in future events we get to see her very happy and not lonely, with all Fontaine respecting and loving her for what she did.
22:07 The fact that Furina saw an opportunity to finally be able to confide with someone yet choosing not to do so at the end just shows how selfless she is. She was willing to crush her hope just to fulfill her duty.

Too dark but I'm sure Furina was thinking of harming herself but the curse of not dying was preventing that. Her mental strength is incredible.
when I started her Story Quest and heard her voice, it sounds completely different, it sounds like she's emotionally exhausted. I myself had to wear a mask for years so I know how mentally and emotional tiring it must have been, but doing so for 500 funking years is just pure torture. I'm surprised that she didn't go insane or become so delusional that she believed her own lie and think she herself is the real archon.

Centuries is just a fancier or more extreme way to say hundreds of years
For a human brain, to work continuously for 500 years must be unimaginable pain.
D*MN!
And Furina got ganged up by most of the Fontaine cast and Traveler at the end and she still held as long as she could.
Keep in mind she was cursed by Focalors to be technically temporarily immortal.
So if anything whatever effects the curse has it probably increased her human brain capacity but also made her mentally unstable.
she's a human now so she could try and forget and cope all of that.
sound like dream to me honestly
I'm honestly surprised she didn't become a vegetable after Focalors died. A human brain isn't supposed to last for that long, but since this is fictional there is some leeway.
18:07 She's crying because she remembers meeting that relative 20 generations ago. She knows just how long she has lived and put on this act only for no end to be in sight. And she has no choice but to continue putting on a front wondering how many more generations of families will come and go before they can be saved.

6:23 the fact that she was actually super polite, it breaks my heart that those people and their harsh comments effectively creative the mental prison that Furina had to stay in, and the fact that her original self was honestly very polite and kind and seemed like they would have been a just and fair “god” that would have genuinely looked out for her people and taken their feelings into account, even saying how she would take suggestions, meaning she wanted to work with her people not above them
Someone get this poor baby a hug, I’m atleast glad that Neuvilette said that he would make sure all her needs would be met and paid for, meaning she doesn’t have to work, she can truly just relax and enjoy the rest of her life, I hope she finds love and finds a family that she can be her true self with
But also after seeing how the people do Fontaine treated Furina, and how they treated the Melusines at the beginning, I’m like “nah let them dissolve and save only a few.”
Yeah. These Fontainians would hate Nahida. Thankfully even if the People knew of her "weakened state" from Rukkadevata, she's valued for her Wisdom which after her first Story mission. The people likely do not doubt her wisdom at all.
The Oceanids that left Fontaine and from what we know so far are complete a-holes. Such ass meanwhile Focalor and Furina doing everything they can.

Endless solo of solitude
The fact that the Traveler DOES show on stage proves that Furina has finally found someone she can trust, which makes it bittersweet. Also, the fact that the Furina from the Archon Quest shows up in her thoughts shows that it's the "real her" and that she's free at long last.
@@nicolasbanidol2371and then he dissappears in the end 😢

Y’all should stop comparing the two games, while Honkai3rd is subjective WAY better in its story and developed, it won’t take away the spark Genshin is also inheriting. As someone who enjoys both, who cares if Furina or Otto had the worse fate, they both suffered and put up a facade.
She wants to get away from this torture, but had she left, it would mean the hundreds of years of torture would be in vain but the thought of doing this for hundreds more years with no light at the end of the tunnel would drive her insane…
I can’t imagine being put in such a position… poor girl, you’re so strong… her crying got my protective instinct into overdrive
When the Focalor says,’you truly are the perfect human- my ideal’, I agree it all.
her va did so amazing... the amount of strength and courage to do this for 500 years straight is godlike by itself. i felt so bad doing that trial, but i guess that was the final trial she was hoping for after so long, and now shes finally free...
also honestly, the traveler and paimon should at least give furina an apology. they were kinda rude to her during her story quest, and not to mention the aq trial... but that was the trial she was waiting for a long time i guess even if it hurt her a lot
Yep, all traveller was concerned about was getting answers - not actually her
19:19 the easter egg voiceline in fountain fontaine
18:59 sadness, suffering, madness, desperation, fake happiness...This shot of her made me so cold when I first played this quest
I now understand the curse that is placed upon Furina and khaenrians
Being immortal for such a long time can be lonely isolated and emotionless or being crazy that u cant die
Nah. Kheanrians had each other for immortality...if they HAD each other. The Unlucky ones like Dainslief end up wandering Alone in the Wilderness.
Most of them loses their intelligence. I would say they are quite lucky at this point.
@silverhawkscape2677 at least they could choose what to do with their lives, Furina on the other hand..

"Fine..."
Just that word alone.....hits hard.
The eye twitch was just too heartbreaking.
I think some people still cannot comprehend 500 years, so:
500 years ago was the year 1524
In 500 years, we will be in the year 2524
Furina truly deserves the world
I have never cried on genshin quests, until this quest came out.
Near 500 years of being the Fontaine's president without even a single day off. The full psychological recovery, 6 centuries.
Not that she would live that long...
She literally said: I am.. Furina of Fontaine.. burdened with glorious purpose
But, if we’re talking about Traveler ‘just caring’ about getting answers when Furina is on the verge of execution, don’t you think that’s because even if they did execute Furina, no one still knows how to stop the Prophecy?
I’m telling you, this wasn’t that Furina I encountered in JP. She fought back as much as Paimon and Traveler bantered with her. They literally sounded like long time friends 🥹🥹🥹
The EN direction really flopped on this one 😂
@@TheDoRoBouNeko ahhh I see, I misinterpet what you said, sorry for that :D but well yes, it might be zach (aether's eng va) is directed to this one, he often asked to changed to what director asked him to do, some became better tho, but well in this case maybe it's different, I haven't played lumine only aether so I can't make comparation in between, but I guess the female tend to be more gentle than male :D
@@leithejudge Do you also play JP dub? I wanna know what JP Aether sounded. But I’m too lazy to search 🤣 I can just make my game EN if I want to hear Lumine’s
@@TheDoRoBouNeko nope, I used jp dub since 1.0 till 1.1, it changed since albedo banner came out, I love his eng voice for that XD, it felt weird till 1.3 especially I need to adapt to paimon but now I'm used to it, english is also good, for me who usually used to jp va, genshin is one of the best mobile game in their english voice :D
in terms of aether voice, english can be both playful but also can be stern, just like this fountaine arc mostly, but in jp,I think aether is more gentle, if I have to compare, eng is the protective brother but can also be your bickering friend, and in jp he is more like cinnamon rolls, he is softie even in his stern mode he's more like a worrywart, that's the feeling I get :D, like eng aether is the older brother of jp aether, just my opinion tho :D
This part of the whole quest just broke me. I felt terrible when we betrayed her in the trial part but I was DEVASTATED when I saw all of this.
I admit, first appearance, I thought she was another arrogant Fischl. I didn't like her as much as the other archons-
SHE DID NOT DESERVE THISSS!!!!
Don't call Fischl Arrogant. She is best girl.
And Yes. Furina needs hugs.
This scene was so long I was not only feeling so bad for Furina but constantly praying that my iPad wouldn’t crash or lose connection
Every trial basically lol
I really relate to Furina's character cus i'm kinda the same way
Same-
Same
Same(3)
Holy shit
Did I just witnessed a fake gods meeting?!
I could understand her fear of failing her task entrusted by Archon Focalors & thus ended up failed to save everyone on the day of the prophecy
🥲
wow can furina get an award for being the most misunderstood character of all time
I love furina’s voice actor, first she played one of my favourite characters in metarunner, and now my favourite character in genshin
These are the kind of scenes where I’m reminded why I love this game so much
I feel soo bad for her honestly. At first when Nahida said she had a "unique personality" i thought that was just her character and that she really is the archon. But it turns out it was all acted out in pure pain.
everything hits so hard in this. but for whatever reason the part that hit the most was at the very end. the way he said “…fine”
it’s just a stab in the heart, that one
Jeez...this hit differently.
It's well written but i feel bitter she had to go through all that. i hope karma swing back to bring goodness in her life to establish balance.
She deserves all the love and hugs of the world
18:57 that face… You can just feel the internal pain
With the irony of the subjects words in play as well
poor Furina, she had to suffer in order to save Fontaine and it peoples.
19:17 The pain in her voice……. :(
She's far above an archon in my heart
And the choice we gave her was duel to the death or trial till execution.....
Furina deserves Nirvana after all that suffering and accomplish Foçalors mission.
19:15 the voice in the fountain!!!
furina deserves all the best this world can offer her, nothing less
Venti has not lived for thousands of years, hes literally the youngest archon
@@noe4354No💀, Venti and Zhongli are canonically the oldest, the youngest Archon is Nahida (we are literally told in Liyue Archon Quest that she is the youngest)
@@noe4354 Venti and Zhongli are the oldest archons. Venti might even be older than Zhongli since he existed far before he took a physical form but they only take into account the years he lived since the defeat of Decarabian.
I think lots of people can relate with Furina...
We are always for everyone. But there is no one who could be always for us
We are still smiling even if we are mentally broken, but no one seeing this or consider this as a problem
There are Nightwish and Lacrimosa songs which fits Furina so hard it hurts
So she's really the one who's crying on the well.
fuck I almost cried again. words cant even describe how much I love this bundle of blue polygons
22:07 The fact that Furina saw an opportunity to finally be able to confide with someone yet choosing not to do so at the end just shows how selfless she is. She was willing to crush her hope just to fulfill her duty.
5:37 is just so hard to hear when you are rewatching it and already know... she is so innocent here...
18:38 that hits very hard😨
