I just bought some newborn sleepers at Target and they are so adorable, but when I got them I realized that they had an inverted Zipper... At first I didn't know what that meant, but it means that the zipper starts at the foot and ends up by his chest! It is so ingenious! Now if the baby's sleeping you don't have to take his arms out and get them cold, all you have to do is unzip his little feet, take him out and change them and put them back in! I am so in love with the sleepers!
Such a helpful video! I'm going to be a grandmother soon and I can't tell you how many products have changed in the last 20-30 years! Most of the products that you showed either weren't available or they were very different back "in my day." I definitely feel like I'm learning baby care all over again!
As others have mentioned the SNUGGLE ME should NOT be placed in a bassinet or crib! VERY DANGEROUS! Always read the manufacturers label on cribs and bassinets. Babies less than 4 months should always sleep on their backs on FLAT firm surfaces.
Yesss! This gave me so much anxiety when she said she used it so much and then even put it in his crib! 😱 People who don't know better will all go get these and all those poor babies will be in so much danger!

I just love how baby is awake and suddenly sleeping so peacefully! Cutest ever 🥰 can’t wait for my baby to arrive in June ! Thank you for your video, first time mommy and this video has been soo helpful!
I'll make a video for you guys! :) I have a very minimalist approach, and to be honest, have found through RIE parenting and Montessori, that most of the things people advertise as "necessary" or "must haves" are actually completely the opposite! Big money saver, and honestly better for mama and baby!
Very cute baby! So sweet those little sneezes. You look amazing for a 3 month old mom. The sleeping advice on this video is bad bad for followers. Use the ABC method- Alone with nothing in their crib until 1 year old, on their Back (unless they can roll on their own), on a firm mattress in Crib (or bassinet). Co-sleeping is unsafe. Room sharing is recommended but not in the same bed. Those snuggies or doc-a-tot type pillows should never ever be used when baby is unsupervised, definitely not to be left in crib. I believe this video is a little older, but felt I should say something for new moms watching. Not following the ABC method is typically the cause for SIDS related asphyxiation. Love to all the mommies! 😌❤️👶
I just have to say that the footie pajamas are great at keeping a baby warm. But, my sister told me always wash them inside out. If you don't hair can get trapped down in the toe area and as baby is sleeping it can get more tangled. The end result could be as drastic as having to go the hospital to have the hair removed from around a toe. I thought she was joking when she told me this, until she showed me the scar on my niece's big toe.
I know you porobly have so many comments 9n your videos and probably wont see this but I'm 4 months pregnant and everyone I know had there children in the 90's or weren't really in to getting the best fast and easy and seeing your video helped me 110% 🙏thank you
These are definitely not must haves! There’s a cheaper version of almost every item in this video... I have a 5 star swing that’s amazing and it’s a space saver that closes up plus detaches and turns into a bouncer/vibrating chair and it was $80 2 in 1!!! A baby doesn’t know that your using a $120 brand swing to an $80 swing! I searched everything and bought majority of these items half the price and they do the EXACT same things! Spending that much money on a rubber “bath” is crazy!
The baby is soo cute!. I am watching this video because I am getting a new baby brother and I just want to know some stuff about taking care of babies. I really liked the information! Thanks for the video!
I wish I knew about you when I had my first!!! I’m pregnant with my second right now and watching all of your old videos on pregnancy and newborn baby care 😂♥️
it is extremely amusing to read the comments here about ppl complaining how expensive things are...guess what people wake up and smell the coffee, babies are extremely expensive and they are a life long commitment so suck it up or dont have one. about the water wipes that everyone is uselessly complaining about: are much cheaper online and also you can just buy a pack of handiwipes ($9 for 288 wipes, you do the math), cut them in quarters and wet them to clean up baby for diaper change. i used these at home and bought water wipes to put in the diaper bag and it is more than affordable. if you don't want disgusting chemicals on your baby its the best thing to do. you also do not need to make 100k to afford any of this...my husband and i do not make that salary and we could buy whatever we wanted for baby because we saved and planned. it's called being a responsible human being. stop complaining and find cheaper alternatives or just close your mouth.
Babies aren't expensive at all. All you need are diapers (cloth = reusable, cheap long-term), food (breastmilk = free), and somewhere to sleep (can get baby box for $60-$70).
M Carr M Carr baby’s are expensive to prepare for but why make it so extravagant and buy useless crap like a $35 piece of rubber foam to bathe your baby?? I wash my baby in a nice organic material newborn chair that was $16!! I also bought a swing which is 5 star folds up to put away and turns into a vibrating bouncer chair 3 in 1 for $80! She spent $120 on a chair which looked very uncomfortable and not even cute and like $150 on a swing that’s huge and takes up a shit ton of space! Babies can be expensive but these are NOT must haves babies don’t need fancy pieces of equipment! She spent like $80 on that giant pillow and even said he’s already growing out of it at 3 months!!! And it’s not even safe!!
Baby things are expensive because companies overcharge like crazy. And make people think they NEED loads of sh*t to keep their baby safe and content, because they know new parents will buy it and only figure out it's useless later. Babies don't have to be expensive at all.
I’m pregnant now and I have to say THANK YOU for that amazon shopping list. I’m sure you know baby shopping can be VERY overwhelming and with all the products out there it’s super helpful to have your recommendations
I'm pregnant for 4 months and yesterday I discovered your channel here watching this video.. I'm really enjoying knowing your channel! I live in Italy but many of the things that you indicate I can find in amazon! I loved your channel! Thank you for sharing your tips! 🌸
To all mommy's the sink in your bathroom and the tub works amazingly with newborn babies and up we have done that since our first kid and now with our second one we are doing it too. It also is super hygienic instead of the wipes. Also try just using the moby or boba wrap just make it super tight so they feel secure or they might not like it.
because some babies do not like being fussed over the nightdress bundler makes it much easier to change them . Muslin squares are super useful for mopping up spills for lots of years
I'm on my third baby, and what I've learned is EVERY single baby is very different, so as much as one could offer suggestions on "must haves" it really all depends on your baby and what you think will work best. For my second baby, I purchased 4+ recommendations here on these youtube videos and unfortunately didn't use any of them or my baby girl didn't care for them... so a total waste and the items I got were not cheap! I got the teething rings, she didn't touch them. I got the crate + barrel wooden blocks and they were super expensive but when I got them, they smelled like chemicals and my baby still to this day hasn't touched them. I also got a Dock a tot and my baby girl never slept in it once and hated it. I got a Puj tub and it didn't fit in our sink and it didn't work for us. I also got the baby carrier recommended and my baby again, hated it and it was really difficult to put on and fit my daughter into and it wasn't comfortable at all. I feel like these recommendations are super trendy or it looks aesthetically pleasing, but isn't comfortable or at all useful. At least that was the case for me anyway. It was really disappointing to have purchased all these recommendations and absolutely NONE of them worked for me - so all in all a total waste unfortunately.

I love the zip up halo swaddles. Its like combining the swaddle with a zip up onsie. You don't even have to unswaddle her to change the diaper.
Oh my he just keeps getting more and more adorable! My baby is due in August and I may need to look into the swaddle sleeper thing. It seems a lot like the dockatot. Also that baby balm looks amazing.
There is a worry of SIDS with the soft mattress. New babies should be placed on their backs with no propping when in bed. The soft mattress is OK if being closely monitored, never to put in a crib for sleep. That warning tag is there for a reason.
This bouncer is by far the best bouncer ever!!! I’m a nanny for 4 little kids. The 2 youngest have used this bouncer, and both have loved it. It’s really simple, lightweight, portable, etc. It’s nice because it can do soft/gentle bounces, but it can also do “big” bounces. Both babies are screamers. They can and will scream for hours no matter what me or their parents do. The only way to calm them down is to put them in the baby Bjorne bouncer. It cradles them so well without being restricting, it reclines, the fabric is soft without being hot, and best of all the cover can easily come off to be cleaned. The downside is that it is pricey, but it’s sturdy and will last a lifetime and it doesn’t bounce very well on its own. It can bounce for a few seconds until it starts to slow down, so that means you have to sit by your baby and bounce them until they get a little older/heavier and they can make it bounce a little bit. I still love it because it’s better than having a baby screaming so much that they choke or having to literally run around the house doing squats while rocking them back and forth. I’m definitely going to buy this bouncer when I have my own kids. These babies are already giving me grey hairs and I’m only 21yo :)
YOUR BABY IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! GOD BLESS HIM, HE IS SO, SO CUTE AND I CAN TELL YOUR AN AMAZING MOM KUDDOS TO YOU FOR DOING AN AMAZING JOB WITH YOUR LITTLE ANGEL FROM HEAVEN ABOVE.
A friend of mine with 4 kids just got me a bunch of onesies that zip and have that scrunchy open bottom so it's easy to change the baby throughout the day. Will definitely stock up on more! Due in October. =)
Very informative. I've had the worst time getting my baby to sleep through the night. Womb sounds have been helpful for me. Some music box lullabies work too. Not sure why it works but it does. My favorites to use are from Best Baby Sleep right here on RUclips. I had bought a cd but much easier to get it from here. Just a tip. hope it helps others here.
love this video and it's very helpful, but left me feel a bit overwhelmed by so many things that my baby is going to need. also, i could do without the background music, it's so loud and almost cover up your voice.
I'm sorry but that sleeper isn't safe at all! babies need to be on a flat firm surface. they can get posterial asphyxiation which is deadly. please don't advertise...esp in a crib.
This video is great! I'm a mom of a newborn. I need everything you mentioned. It surely would make life easier. And yes, I too would trade all the clothes for one-pieces.
So helpful!! Love this one and the things you don’t need video. Your baby is so cute!! Love how you’re so clear and simple in your videos no extra stuff. :)
Onsies DO NOT have to go over the head! Just an FYI the reason onsies have folded shoulders is so you can put them on at their feet and slide their arms in. Just incase you're in warm climates and don't always want to put them in sleepers :)
I bought a snuggle me organic off of ebay for $60..and I'm so glad I did. It was like new! Since they only use it for a short amount of time. My newborn (2 1/2 weeks old) has been sleeping in it all night and during her naps. She loves it! I didn't even know it existed till a week before my lo was born, so glad I discovered it!
I can't believe people are crapping on you because you have quality products. Maybe don't have kids if you can't get the best for your child... You're bringing a life into this world. 🤷 Everything you do is so critical for a baby.
Love your video and all the products recommended! I just wanted to mention that I was looking into using a product that contained natural lavender oil on my newborn son and there is a lot of researching indicating that it can cause hormonal imbalances in pre-pubescent boys and to avoid that essential oil/products containing it in it's natural form! You should definitely do your own research but I thought it was worth mentioning, I know I love lavender oil : )
Zipper ones are also a very easy thing to sew if you can follow a patter you can make them just have a look at you local fabric shop for patterns you can then make them in the weight you want fleece for winter wear and lighter weight fabrics forsummer
OMG I am so with you on those zip ups!!! I don't even like the button ones but I literally only had my baby in the full onsies year round unless we are going to church. Favorite product!!! And AMAZON PRIME IS LIFE!!!!
These types of co-sleepers are not a SIDS risk at all. I bought one for my baby so I could sleep next to him in my bed so I could roll back and forth and not wake him up, it was one of the best things I bought for him. He slept so well in it and when he grew out of it we transitioned him to the crib. Co-Sleeping is actually reduces SIDS a lot. Do you have children? You would know if you did...
Yep they’re not approved as a co-sleeper and they’re dangerous. You shouldn’t put ANYTHING in the crib or bassinet. The dokatot and the snuggle me organic are not meant to be used unattended and they are not approved for sleeping. I wouldn’t risk it.
Curious about the snuggle me organic. I did a review on my channel of the dockatot, I like that as well. Thinking I'll do what you did when transitioning into the crib, thanks so much for the video!
Awesome video!!! Great must haves too! I have a 6 month old and it is so fun to learn new ideas and recommendations from other moms! Just subscribed to your channel! Excited to follow along!
Great tips, but 12 dollars for a little packet of wipes is redic. I think our grandparents did just fine without wipes specifically. I think I can just use soft wet rag or wet a sturdy napkin and save a lot of money. Also most wipes dont seem biodegradable. I'm already considering reusable diapers.
what is the reason of swaddling my baby is super chill but if I put her all cute and swattled up she acts like I put her in a straight jacket and throws a fit. She sleeps just fine without it so maybe I'm lucky. Swattle blankets are so nice and light.
Hey Susan, I got the snuggle me organic. Would you recommend getting the puddle pad? Also how many extra covers? Thank you for all your guidance!! Megan

Overnight sleep for any baby needs to be on a firm flat surface.
Depends though. Some babies can't sleep in flat position.
I agree, bad advice when there is danger of death for baby.
& there's suppose to be nothing in the crib/bassinet, & you're not suppose to co-sleep, there's sooo much wrong with that part of the video!
May I know the reason why? Just for my knowledge and curiosity

Seriously, that's the cutest baby I've ever seen
Very informative. I've had the worst time getting my baby to sleep through the night. Womb sounds have been helpful for me. Some music box lullabies work too. Not sure why it works but it does. My favorites to use are from Best Baby Sleep right here on RUclips. I had bought a cd but much easier to get it from here. Just a tip. hope it helps others here.
So cute that he fell asleep during the video !
love this video and it's very helpful, but left me feel a bit overwhelmed by so many things that my baby is going to need. also, i could do without the background music, it's so loud and almost cover up your voice.
Claudia Kao no baby needs this much crap! Newborns actually need surprisingly little!
I'm sorry but that sleeper isn't safe at all! babies need to be on a flat firm surface. they can get posterial asphyxiation which is deadly. please don't advertise...esp in a crib.
lauren ponygirl even the pacifiers are not good
Hi to all new moms! I have a 3 week old :)
Hey how are you do you need a babysitter
Congrats 🎉
This video is great! I'm a mom of a newborn. I need everything you mentioned. It surely would make life easier. And yes, I too would trade all the clothes for one-pieces.
this background music drives me nuts...
Saskia Silva me too😢
Definitely agree on the onesies... that’s what I put as my number 1 must have for the first 2-3 months.
Thanks for sharing all of these items!! That miracle blanket swaddle really does look like a miracle. Your little boy has the cutest cheeks! 💕
Your baby is so adorable! I’m currently expecting my first child later this year, so this is all really helpful ❤️
sleepzzz29 Congrats!
thank you!
Snuggle Me Organics is now advertising a Toddler sized version 😁😁. We all asked for a bigger version and they listened. So excited.
Lmao the way he’s just laid out, so freaking cute... 7 more weeks 🥰❤️
Thanks. I liked part about onesies. I woulda returned everything and bought only onesies as well
So helpful!! Love this one and the things you don’t need video. Your baby is so cute!! Love how you’re so clear and simple in your videos no extra stuff. :)
He is absolutely scrumptious!
Onsies DO NOT have to go over the head! Just an FYI the reason onsies have folded shoulders is so you can put them on at their feet and slide their arms in. Just incase you're in warm climates and don't always want to put them in sleepers :)
I love the nest idea but I researched and it seems most aren't safe , so I would do research before buying
It was the best! I gave mine to a friend for her newborn because it's true--they're only used for a period of time.
Thank you for so many good ideas. My baby coming in july n this video is so much helpful..
OHMAHGAH your baby is sooooo frickin beautiful!!!!!! Subscribed
Valium ?
I’m due on April 22nd and I’m feeling so new to everything i don’t know where to start picking out what she needs
I created an Amazon shopping list of baby products I actually use. Hope it helps! www.amazon.com/shop/mixedmakeup
I can't believe people are crapping on you because you have quality products. Maybe don't have kids if you can't get the best for your child... You're bringing a life into this world. 🤷 Everything you do is so critical for a baby.
Hey, convenience is key with a new baby lol
Love your video and all the products recommended! I just wanted to mention that I was looking into using a product that contained natural lavender oil on my newborn son and there is a lot of researching indicating that it can cause hormonal imbalances in pre-pubescent boys and to avoid that essential oil/products containing it in it's natural form! You should definitely do your own research but I thought it was worth mentioning, I know I love lavender oil : )
I love how he is knocked out the whole video!!
diapers on Amazon prime is a great deal. pampers swaddlers pack of 140 for 25 dollars .
Zipper ones are also a very easy thing to sew if you can follow a patter you can make them just have a look at you local fabric shop for patterns you can then make them in the weight you want fleece for winter wear and lighter weight fabrics forsummer
Oh I'd wish I got a demo of the little one using all these things! But still helpful tips :)
He’s so calm.
Snuggle me organic is basically a dog bed.
Claira Allen my husband and I considered a small dog bed after seeing the price...
Caroline Salopek hahaha me too🤣
Lol! I thought the same
Thank u.
Right!!!!??????
OMG I am so with you on those zip ups!!! I don't even like the button ones but I literally only had my baby in the full onsies year round unless we are going to church. Favorite product!!! And AMAZON PRIME IS LIFE!!!!
Snuggle me organic seems like a huge SIDS risk.
Not if they're swaddled.. and you don't leave them in there unattended
The problem is that that isn't a co-sleeper device.
Yeah, it’s not safe for sleep which is how it is described in the video.
Yep they’re not approved as a co-sleeper and they’re dangerous. You shouldn’t put ANYTHING in the crib or bassinet. The dokatot and the snuggle me organic are not meant to be used unattended and they are not approved for sleeping. I wouldn’t risk it.
What lipstick are you wearing? Its beautiful
also where did you get that black top?
What did you mean when you said you bought it for your husband?
Thank you. This video is so helpful. I had to laugh in the end of the video because your baby is sooo cute🤗😊
0:35 when baby wants the cameras to be on him instead. And i love how the baby fell asleep so easily during the video XD
Curious about the snuggle me organic. I did a review on my channel of the dockatot, I like that as well. Thinking I'll do what you did when transitioning into the crib, thanks so much for the video!
That lounger over there was my absolute LIFE with my son.!
I actually hate the zip up onesies. I much prefer the bottom button onesies that you just slip over their head. Much faster and easier to use.
It’s really hard to listen to you with that music in the background
I LOVE the miracle blanket!!!
My baby heard your baby and started mocking him lol i was like oh no dont you start up now too hahahah!!!
He is a doll! So adorable. Thanks for the suggestions.
your son looks alot like mine did as a news born. full head of black hair. He is a beautiful little boy.
I could swaddle a baby very well! My son hated to be swaddled. He would cry and swarm out of it every time!
I didn't buy a lot of pillows but the breastfeeding pillow is so helpful
what is the reason of swaddling my baby is super chill but if I put her all cute and swattled up she acts like I put her in a straight jacket and throws a fit. She sleeps just fine without it so maybe I'm lucky. Swattle blankets are so nice and light.
Hi there, at what age did your baby grow out of the snuggle me organic. My newborn is 6 weeks now, wish I had that item from day one. :)
Love this video but I’m not gonna lie... I need to know what kind of jeans those are. Love the high waist and wash. They look super cute and comfy.
Right! Lol perfect for my mom bod
I have that exact same boppy lounger and my daughter loves it
What eye shadow palette did you use for your makeup here? You look gorgeous!
I just love this video so much .
Such a helpful list!! Thank you!! ❤
Wow he just fell asleep by himself right there when you were filming? My son could never
Hey Susan,
I got the snuggle me organic. Would you recommend getting the puddle pad? Also how many extra covers?
Thank you for all your guidance!!
Megan
Megz2296 I didn’t get the puddle pad and only got one extra cover (which I hardly ever used actually!). Hope that helps. 🤗
