Q: Just swapping screen from 7 to 8' (my car has navigation, CarPlay sim tray) is just plug and play? Any coding required as screen resolution a different?

Hello, so I did the same thing with my Audi a4 b9, Acc and navi had errors. I installed a new GPS antenna now acc and navi works normally again without errors but now I have other problems. Traffic jam assistant no longer works and any security malfunction. The airbag light is also on. What should I do. Sorry for my bad english. Thanks

Hello my friend i want help for change digital cockpit
Two pieces Audi needs to produce and I'll buy immediately:
1. A way to delete the distracting and ugly tacked-on MMI screen alltogether (just map it to the virtual cockpit when actually needed - in my case only when setting something or when entering an address to the Satnav, rest of the time I've got it turned off) along with a dashboard cover that would fill the hole.
2. A cover for cupholder.
I have the center mmi screen hidden 99% of the time in my S3, everything I have done is exclusively through the virtual cockpit
hi, i'm having the similar spec of audi a4b9 as yours. is it possible to directly swap the small 7" center screen to the bigger 8.3" center screen? (the 8.3" center screen that comes with the virtual cockpit)
and if it work, is there any extra wiring and coding work required?

Yes can be done, B9 has 2 display variants in oem
Can the screen be removed altogether ? Looking at buying a 2017 Avant & the position of the screen, I think, is hideous 😐

Aftermarket has it all.
Not as intensive as I would have thought. Still hope never have to do it though lol :)

Depends why it wobbles but you need to take it off first..Q5 has identical dash

Is it possible to get the newest display from Audi a5 2020 with facelift in the 2018 one ? Or does it not even fit?
Everything can be adjusted, the only thing it may need a coding on the MMI box at the back of your car.

It was originally broken, that's why was swapped.
Can you remove the trim under the MMI display without removing the vent grill?
Not if you want to replace the screen, then entire panel as you have seen has to come off
I just want to take that trim off to put some felt tape. My MMI display resonates when revving at specific rpm
@@paralelmind hey mate, did you succeed with that? On my a4 b9 my screen also resonates, and also not sure how to remove the trim
@@romqqayoutube3160 yes i did removed it without removing the grill. It's easy but you need some force and plastic removal tools.
The resonation didn't 100% disappear and also the annoying intermittent "crunchy" rattle when driving (even on perfect roads) didn't disappear.
So i had another idea to push some felt (just cut about 1cm felt that i've folded it in 2) near the display and upper dashboard trim (the soft one). I've pushed the felt in each edge (right and left) where the screen is blending.
For this you don't have to remove anything and the felt cannot be seen because i've pushed it as long as it was hidden under the dashboard material.
I can prepare a picture if it's not clear what i am saying.
