that is cool but it feels limited in its potential to be an interactive display for the radio or music player or color change/graph equalizer. not that this affects me i dont own an audi, but still cool display.

Cool video. But just for your information, that center vent is functional. It is a diffuse air-vent. You can control it with your climatronic module.

@@ET2carbon This is a quite fitted with everything model. In the climate you can select the "Open" or "Close" options, in the menu where you set rear climate.
It looks great looks like the old Honda prelude dash all the way across. Love it

Daniel Monastirski I didn’t ask a bodyshop if they can do or not. But I believe they can do it because it is not difficult to do.
Daniel Monastirski that vent is functional. It’s activated via “open” setting in the climate control menu.

Very cool. Nice work. Whenever you dig into a dash and start pulling things apart is becomes an adventure and in this case it paid off. I'd love to know Audi's thinking behind that non-functional vent.

the screen looks cool but, that vent you covered up is actually functional. you can read about it. there is even a function in your theromostat to close and open it.

Now that you've shown us how to get there ... if just someone would figure out a way to put the stupid MMI screen's content onto the virtual cockpit and produce a perfectly fitting blind so that I could get rid of that piece on my S5.
Which app can you use to control the display?
That’s really cool only seen that on Ferrari as a 6k option. But would rather see Music or GPS on screen as a passenger

Yaode, the fan that you replaced was fake, its just for styling purpose so you didnt lose anything lol
That vent is working, it blows air very slow.

What’s the need for this screen? So the passenger could read the instrument cluster? I don’t get it. My “passenger” mostly has her head buried in her phone anyway.

They are just OEM pieces. I got them from ECS. You can also get it from your local dealer as well
