If you guys watched good whiskey channels you'd know about it ;P. Just kidding, Lost Monarch is WAY better btw. Buy it for real!
Also take the advice of a whiskey expert who a couple years ago recommended Pipe Dream with a cigar...I did, its way better.

Lost Monarch is my favorite for sure!! I’ll buy a bottle every time I run out. I’ve had Emerald Giant and Pipe Dream, they are good but won’t buy another.
This bourbon smells like.....Sour candy worms and....pepperoni pizza.....there's no way that was the intent of the distiller. haha

Pipe dream is fine but the other two are just more interesting. The original pipe dream was 4-12 yr mgp and now its a bunch of younger stuff put together

Lost Monarch is solid and I suggest you try that next
I will give you one of my un-opened Lost Monarchs if you want. That is generally considered the favorite low-proof.

The extravagance of the label, the fancy cork, a name , they all have a name don't they, is something that idiots will pay for... It's all about the juice, the quality of the juice. That is what we pay for.. Unfortunately, prices have been on a never ending upswing, and this is not a trend, but the reality of many consumers and limited supply of good whiskey.
Didn’t enjoy Pipe Dream. Ended up giving it away to a buddy
Emerald Giant Rye, I really enjoy it and also Lost Monarch.... Grizzley Beast and Rocket Top Rye also very good.... you bought the one bottle that I am not a big fan of when it was $30 maybe but so many better bottles under $40. But always fun to try. Dang Gum Cheers...

I agree that the price points have changed. 65.00 is the new 40.00 and 150.00 is the new 99.00.

I got Lost Monarch partly on BJ's praise, but it wasn't my jam. It had what I best describe as a malty 'imperial IPA' note that I didn't like in a bourbon.

Pipe Dream is our least favorite of the core three Redwood Empires, but it's still decent. We get it for $29, which feels like a good price for it. Oh, and I get apple crumble vibes off of the Starlight Cigar Batch we've got.

I like the BiB products that Redwood Empire released last year. A bit more pricey and I agree with Will that $60 is the floor on good craft now.
