    You managed to explain live, while repositioning the camera, while doing a racing jibe... Really next level tuition! There's no-one else doing this. Awesome!

    Hi. Very good video. My tips and hope it helps. Have good speed downwind before swinging the wing overhead, hopefully near matching wind speed. Any tightness in shoulder work against you - so stretch before the session. Palm down front hand grip. And lastly, keep carving the board simultaneously as you swing wing overheard otherwise you'll feel back wind if so then push leading edge away from you with the spare hand (and keep carving). It's twice as hard in strong overpowered winds, so learn it in light and moderate winds. Best.

    I'm here on the couch with a Heineken but can't follow the rest of the instructions... Great video, I'll go out on the water tomorrow and make a real attempt.

    I love the way this is filmed (the camera angle). It is much more helpful than videos taken from a fixed point.

    You're quite graceful on the big wing. It's been interesting to watch your progress since you started here. You're a quick learner with a smooth style and a great accent. Thanks.

    It really helps knowing the equipment you are riding, I saw some folks struggling to get on foil as you flew by them. Besides being gusty what was the wind doing? in km or miles? thank you for another outstanding instructional video.

    Wow! Nice one! I'm trying here at Ceará, BR but my wing is turning to fast, even while in going downwind. Maybe the wind conditions are not favorable for this kind of transition...? I managed to close some ones but definitely it doesn't look smooth! 😅 Tks for the videos, bro!

    Always amazed how easy you seem to get going / up on foil. Any videos or tips on how to get going in big chop on a high aspect foil that requires speed to take off?

      First thing to upgrade is your foil. There are lots of very good foils out now, the early Slingshots are old tech.

      @@robadairis there one that's like a step or two better than training wheels, that's maybe also compatible with the switch fuselage? I'm 155 lbs btw. The wing still hasn't come in. I've yet to do anything on the water with this gear.

    My wing invariably 'inverts' on my Heineken attempts. I carve down, bring the wing vertical, then lift over/behind my head. As I bring the wing forward, it's upside down. I suspect my rear hand is doing something wrong, or should be doing something right. Not sure yet. Maybe I'm not going fast enough? Maybe not sufficiently turned through the wind? Ideas?

    Hi, I'm a verrry beginner.. May I ask why did you prefer 95L ? and for beginners do you suggest board without straps ? thanks a lot..

    • @DamienLeroyYouTube
      @DamienLeroyYouTube  11 месяцев назад

      The more volume you have when you are first learning really helps for stability and learning how to fly the wing. Then as you get better you can go smaller as you are very efficient with the wing. You can learn without straps in the beginning. Some use one in the front but I would say its personal preference. Most learn without. We hope this helps.

    hi there! i've been trying them for some sessions, but what inevitably happens is that at the 3rd part of the turn the wing turns upside down..... am i too slow? for this to happen one "needs" do get backwinded or am I wrong?
