What’s the movie Clueless about?
Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) is a beautiful, wealthy and popular highschool student living in a Beverly Hills mansion with her rich dad Mel (Dan Hedaya), a grumpy but successful lawyer. Cher’s best friend, Dionne (Stacey Dash) is also beautiful and wealthy and dates Murray Duvall (Donald Faison), another popular student. After receiving a bad grade from a harsh teacher, Cher decides to play matchmaker and orchestrates a romance between her school’s two hard-grading teachers. Her plan ends up working perfectly and seeing the new couple enjoying their blissful relationship fills her with joy. She decides to keep using her skills for good deeds. Her next project? Transforming Tai Frasier (Brittany Murphy), the “tragically unhip” new girl, into one of the coolest girls in school. When Cher’s ex-step brother Josh (Paul Rudd) visits her during a break from college, he mocks her superficiality, pushing her to be even more selfless.

Agree as a child I grew up watching anime, and other violent shit and played games like mortal kombat etc. with my older brother and here I am now 17 and I’m not violent, violence in the media shouldn’t be taken out and shouldn’t be blamed for your child’s love of violence because it isn’t the problem. I don’t do violence because I know it’s bad and I was taught that, make sure your children know it’s bad
Did she? The news portrays violence as a tragedy. It’s framed in a way that makes you sick to your stomach. Media, on the other hand, often glamorizes and even glorifies violence. Movies like Mad Max and games like Call of Duty make violence seem cool and fun.
Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think we should take violence out of media. I love action games. But Cher didn’t really make any points here.

Amy Heckerling really knocked it out of the park with Clueless! She managed to make the absolute worst aspects of High School, seem like a fun time many of us wished we could have had. And Cher? The "brilliant airhead" but an airhead that genuinely had pearls of wisdom, and really could hit you in the feels.
Cher has a lugubrious expression, even while smiling, which is what made her so adorable.

@Nuby Yes, that was an intentional throwback to the style of the 1940s/1950s. This look was outdated by 90s standards, too, when the movie came out -- the costume designer for the movie did that on purpose. She later admitted that she had created Christian's look using James Dean as an inspiration, especially "Rebel Without a Cause" (1955).
