Local Brawler declared a threat to all Europa, each time they strike an enemy the soundwave is picked up by all the outposts and submarines on the frozen ocean. Last seen chasing an endworm back to their lair
The heavy wench is also usable as a wench tool replacement. This does matter as it removes the need for a standard wench. Instead of taking up another inventory slot it's a replacement and upgrade. This means there is a good reason to also make a lot of heavy wenches for the entire crew to use. Mechanic may be best at using them, but this heavy wench can save an otherwise unarmed crewmember, or at least those without a good melee weapon on hand.
fun things mentions between the heavy wrench and the crowbar, the crowbar will out damage the heavy wrench because higher tiers give it bonus damage, whereas higher tier wrenches just get repair speed. they both also do blunt force trauma. so while in a pinch the wrench is just gunna absolutely DUMPSTER someone, the crowbar is your best friend 100%
Where are you getting this? I looked at their damage numbers and it seems to me that even if you had a Masterwork quality Hardened Crowbar, it would still be outdamaged by the Heavy Wrench on this build. Not to mention, the heavy wrench has CRAZY amounts of stun that let you stunlock a lot of monsters, which IMO would make it better than the crowbar even if the crowbar actually did do more damage.
@@bonehed1 the crowbar is going to beat up someone if you're playing as an engineer with the skills that increase the damage by 200%. But that's about it, so the heavy wrench is good regardless I guess.

If you're gonna do one on the riot shield then try it out against various types of turrets and guns. For example did you know the pulse laser shot is almost entirely blocked by the riot shield while doing very little durability damage? While the shotgun will significantly damage the riot shield. This was tested out soonish after the full release so may possibly had balance changes since then.

Don't use the iron man perk, the armor reduces your movement by 30% while the helmet reduces it by another 10%. Based on stats, Pirate Body Armor and the Ballistic Helmet will give you better defense and mobility when fighting. Iron Helmet: -85% Lacerations -85% Bite Wounds -80% Bleeding -10% Movement Speed Ballistic Helmet: -70% Blunt Force Trauma -80% Lacerations -70% Bite Wound -80% Gunshot Wound -90% Bleeding -100% Concussion Makeshift Armor: -60% Lacerations -60% Bite Wounds -70% Bleeding -50% Stun -30% Movement Speed -50% Scooter Propulsion Speed Regular Body Armor: -70% Blunt Force Trauma -70% Lacerations -60% Bite Wounds -70% Gunshot Wound -10% Burn -80% Bleeding Furthermore the helmet ONLY protects your head, which normal mudraptors beaks will attack at torso level. The ballistic gear also protects from greater amounts of bleeding, blunt force, and firearm damage than the makeshift armor will. The biggest drawback from using Body Armor as apposed to Makeshift Armor is the amount of Stun reduced. So it could be a toss up, depending on what you are looking for as I can acknowledge that stun resist is pretty valuable for DPS.
One issue with the ballistic armor however (which I've noticed personally) is it doesn't cover limbs whatsoever (arms and legs), while yes mudraptors as aiming at chest level if your using a melee weapon your often holding it in front of yourself meaning it's rather likely for them to hit your arms... While the movement speed hurts, they each have their role at least imo Knight armor: - slow - great resistances over the *whole* body (Helmet optional) Probably better for most sub invader combat, since (depending on enemy) limb damage is likely. Ballistic armor: - Faster - Amazing resistance, but chest only (Helmet required) Mostly better for Pirate/other crew combat, since bullets tend to not be the biggest issue when it comes to legs and the like.
