Oh shut up . As a dissabled person that’s born in America that’s born to Jamaican mother and half Jamaican , French Canadian native Indian father , do not ever ever ever say that . My great grandmother was quarter Chinese . Back in the days black dark Jamaicans was not nice to Chinese even now and they can be racist . I was with some one that lives in montigo bay Jamaica and we stupid seeing each other because of the reasons why is he was racist towards the Chinese. My friend is Chinese from Taiwan Taipei. 27 fucking years I have to listion to people being racist because their different. How about I disown my Jamaican heritage because their racist even if I have a little black blood in me . I rather be around Chinese. Or other Asians than Jamaicans or blacks or some Hispanics. I think it’s cool the Chinese are in Jamaica because what I wish is , is find my Chinese family even if there dead . How sbout we use to have native Indians in Jamaica before the slaves reached there . The native Indians in Jamaican were the real Jamaicans . How about the white People stole America from native Indians . Think before you all say bad things about China . How about Jamaicans stop being damn cheap and stop hating . God says not to hate or judge unless they did harm to you really bad .

First, Jamaicans are no more intolerant or cynical than any other people. If there was a huge influx of Jamaicans into China- owning, operating and mostly hiring their own the same degree of intolerance and cynicism would she shown to them.
The average Jamaican isn't oppose to foreign investment, as long as they're seeing themselves benefiting from these investments. Having Chinese opening and operating supermarkets doesn't seem to the average man as beneficial to him if the majority of the people working in those supermarkets are Chinese.
Second, the Chinese and Americans are in fight for economic and global dominance. The rest of the world are just proxies. The US has and is increasing its influence and investments within China's backyard and the Chinese has follow suit into America's backyard. I welcome Chinese investments into Jamaica. The highways are beautiful and I hope they will continue more infrastructure investments.
Let's not be naive however, thinking the Chinese are simply agreeing to terms that isn't most beneficial them. We've been here before with the Brits and with the Americans, the Chinese are no different. It's up to Jamaica's leaders to at least make sure the average Jamaican does see themself benefiting from these investments.....and, these investments aren't a liability on the environment nor a burdening debt for our grandchildren.

Much as I do not disagree with "some" of the issues you've raised please, please let's not get confused here or forget the racist attitudes that many Chinese come to jamaica with. The racism is raw and unapologetic. Remember the exhibit in the chinese museum 2017 comparing wild animals with black people? Another point is that "investment" should not be at the expense of trying to dehumanise us, being given foreign investors a throne and overlooking poor work practices. One of our biggest problems is that we love everyone else except ourselves and the moment we apply critical thinking and point out double standards we are attacked by our very own..................Enough said.

      @bobmontego7328  Год назад +1

Angel, your question tells me that you still don't get it. Chinese investment in Jmca is not, and could not be, for making Jmcns "independent". We beg for foreign investment and they came. Today, Chinese investments, tourism, & money remittance from some Jmncs abroad, are what holding up Jmca's economy. Local investment is still not significant enough and is only happening in urban areas. Chinese investors are the only ones investing & revitalizing our rural small towns, our violent run-down inner-city areas & towns, and our dilapidated buildings. It is a DAMN SHAME to see in small towns all around Montego Bay & Kingston that Chinese supermarkets & shops are sometimes the only little employment for many. Angel contrary to what you may think, I am not defending or attacking Chinese investments. I am simply saying to learn from them bcse they have a good business model & good business sense that is part of their culture, and ordinary Jmcns don't. Two years into my video Chinese investors are rural Jmca's largest employers. Do you see where this is going? LEARN FROM OUR CHINESE INVESTORS. The 'ism & 'scism is not helping us Angel.

I can only speak about Jamaica. I can certainly say that the Chinese are united We don't have a Chinese Benevolent Society. They have Chinese MP such as Rose Leon and Ferdinand Yap- Sam who have assisted the Chinese in their endeavors. Quite the opposite with a Jamaican black. Our corrupt politicians and police force keep us suppressed and can't get ahead. It's always one step forward and two steps backwards. Because of the inequality in Jamaica , in education, and otherwise, plus the color casts system from slavery days Jamaican blacks will never have the same opportunities as the Azzans and the Marzoucas and the Matalons. So they are perceived to be lazy and good for nothing and worthy of imprisonment. Until you walk a mile in someone's shoes don't judge them.

People have to remember that it’s China that is willingly spending money in a region that is extremely risky in terms of government investments. People can have an attitude to them or what not but they should not forget that they are accelerating the building of your country. The brits would never and to this day would never spend a single pound there because of the high risks incurred. Of course it must feel a bit uncomfortable since it’s happening so suddenly but China is a lot different to america or the Uk. China operates on a economic scale. They want to spend money and build trade links. This way they can secure allies in the future and trade partners whereas the country that is being invested in also benefits of being able to use that money to accelerate economic growth in their country. Don’t forget the last time governments refused to cooperate with the US, they’ve ended up going into civil war or economic depression. Libya, Iraq and afghanistan etc... China gives proposals for the Jamaican government for them to consider. If they do not like it, the Chinese come back with a new proposal. They aren’t forcing the governments to accept these plans. That’s the difference between Chinese investment and American investment

I do not know what you're talking about but Jamaica prime minister don't know how to build Jamaica economically. If he knew how to build Jamaica economically first thing he would have made Jamaica do more export that import. He would have made agricultural the main money earning in Jamaica than tourism. It doesn't make any sense for Jamaican government to import things that Jamaica can grow for themselves.
Secondly he wouldn't put Jamaica in so much debt, he should of take a book from the greatest prime minister that Jamaica have don't borrow too much money.
Thirdly since this man became the prime minister poor people are suffering more because everything raised GCT skyrocketed, taxi fare skyrocketed and minimum wage is $7,000 per week that is $48 US dollars per week. Do you think Jamaican people can live from that.
Lastly if Jamaica government did care, he wouldn't make Chinese people own so much supermarkets and shops and pay their worker so little money for that much work. Do you ever work in a Chinese supermarket before, they do not allow the workers to sit down for the 10 -11 hours per day they are working for.

They are treasures he can lay no actual claim to, "For the earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof." The worldly wealth one may lay claim to cannot possibly become his own. All that is his are the attributes and the selfish desires that were used in acquiring such outside possessions. These treasures of the earth are only a counterfeit, worthless collection of valueless, temporary duration. And for these worthless, impermanent possessions one may have forfeited his own soul. Jmcns have traveled, lived, and accepted in many places like USA, Ca., & UK for centuries, but should these countries now reject new Jmcns coming in, especially with some of our flaws?
The new arrivals of Chinese coming in are coming with money & expertise to invest, not coming empty handed to learn expertise & make money as we Jmcns generally do when we go to other countries. Yet other countries accept us, despite all our many flaws. The point of the video is that we should learn from the solid business model of ethnic Jmcn Chinese & as well as the new investment class of Chinese coming in at the invitation of the Jmcn gov & the private sector organizations of Jmca. If we are suspicious of them - then keep our eyes open. But how can it hurt to learn from them? The only things holding up our economy are Chinese investments, money remittance from Jmcns abroad, tourism, & a growing manufacturing sector. China has gone into countries all over the world and made deals for infrastructure, building bridges, roads and buildings in exchange for loans. The cost is high, and the stuff is so cheaply built that it falls apart quickly, and the government is then indebted to China over loans that are larger than their national GNI. Then they seize infrastructure or land for themselves.
They're doing it all over the world, Africa, South America, Europe, Middle East.....

I'm sure many Jamaicans were interested but the Jamain system is set to serve everyone else but Jamaicans. The chinese get tax exemptions, this man failed to mention that. While we locals don't and we have on top of heft fines, utility and we have to start from scratch while the govt help the chinese nationals fix up their businesses.

@@madeinjamaica7025 There is a huge distinction between "local" & "foreign" investment for developing countries like Jmca. We "want" local investments, but we "need" foreign investments. Local investments shift the local money around, while foreign investments bring in fresh money on top of the local money supply. Governments "everywhere" offer "tax holiday" or "exemption" to attract this outside money because it is critical to national development. What ordinary Jmcns should not do is to be confused that govmnt is giving free money to foreign investers but not Jmcns. That's not true. The economy "wants" local investment, but "needs" foreign investments, which is why gov begs foreigners to bring their money & new ideas - the two things we severely lack. The Chinese were once where we are, depending on US foreign investment. Now the US cannot servive without China So let's stop obsessing about the Chinese and learn from them.

As for Jamaica, Chinese have been coming none-stop for almost two centuries. The difference is that, in the last two decades Chinese have not come as economic migrants as they use to, but as investors, engineers, & scientist bcse China is now rich. Because the wider Jmcn society has not learnt from the long successes of Chinese in Jmca, I am firm that we should learn from them instead of holding feelings of animosity & indifference for them, especially bcse they are leaders in small & mid-size businesses in Jmca. The issue of Hong Kong is different, the island has always been theirs. It was annexed & occupied by England, wiho agreed to return it after a 100years. I understand your misgivings of China for slowly returning the island to one-party rule quicker than agreed. I do too. Members of these ethnic minority groups make up the lion share of Jmca's rich business class, all of whom relied on thier ethnic values to survive & prosper when they came or were brought to Jmca. Of this group, one of the better business model I have seen is the Chinese bcse it is simple. They rent a place, live in the back, open shop in the front, make quick sales small profit, live simple, & in five years buy the property & build the largest supermarket in the town. It doesn't matter if it's generational Chinese or new arrivals, their business model is the same, with clear success. On the flip side, the greater portion of Jmca's largest ethnic group continues to struggle with the "streetside vendor" & "bend-down market" business model. When something works use it. Learn from the Chinese "quick sale small profit" business model. Forget the 'ism & 'sksm bcse that has no road map to a people's success. Thanks again for your time Lay.

That dude is spillingout some serious FACTS...
    But...
Just today, I was saying that in most African Countries, basically what China is doing, they are financially colonizing all of these POOR 3rd World Countries with super high interest rate, short term loans.
Then, they are also using that exact same loaned out money to build key infrastructure within the Country, that CHINA WANTS for themselves...
They are doing all kind of stuff for them, but also requiring that they can only use ALL CHINESE LABOR not any local labor or hardly any local Companies...
Then, when they can't pay back these loans, they own all that stuff...
STUFF that China really wanted in the first place, like power plants, gold and silver mines, farm land, shipping ports, airports, etc, etc....
Basically, they're doing the same thing that they did to COLONIZE AMERICA, after Nixon went to China and sold American workers down the river to Chinese workers for "30 pieces of silver"...
Now look at US today, with everything in Walmart that WE ARE BEING FORCED INTO PAYING FOR that was made by Chinrese slave wage workers...
Isn't that exactly what Great Britain wanted to do, when they first put colonies in Jamestown?
They wanted to reap all the financial benefits of this new land that they were investing in...
Now China has been the primary investor in Walmart... They are 5he main ones who are reaping most of the benefits from all their "Made In China" products that's in Walmart!!!
You can't even get Walmart to buy or sell hardly no American made goods, because the COMMUNISTS Chinese government will not ALLOW Walmart to stock American made products, unless those products are NOT currently being made in CHINA...
    Why is that?
BECAUSE Walmart has also sold the American worker, and as a result the American economy and it's WEALTH down the river for "30 pieces of silver"...
ALL in the name of LOWEST PRICES...
China perfected this SCAM by paying off American Businessmen and American Politicians, and now they're doing the exact same thing all over the World...
That's why I truly believe only, under the Democrats, that's why the US and most major World ECONOMIES are purposefully being taken down to SHIT...
POLITICIANS all over the World, now know how much they have fucked up by NORMALIZING TRADE RELATIONS WITH COMMUNISTS...
That's what all of this high inflation is really all about... to bring China BACK down by the exact same almighty DOLLAR, that they allowed to be used to build China UP to become such a powerful RED DRAGON, over the last 40 years!!!!
Now, they all know,as a last resort before it consumes US ALL, they got to crash the entire World economy just to KILL THE RED DRAGON!!!
The US did the exact same thing to the Japanese way back in the late '80s and the early '90s, when it looked like Japan was going to become the #1 World economy, and they have NEVER RECOVERED FROM IT.... 💯FACTS!!!
    BUT....
Here's what should make you SHIT YOUR PANTS:
Japan was NOT the most populated Nation on the entire Planet...
Japan was NOT at all a formidable military THREAT...
Japan did NOT have any nuclear weapons ...
Japan did NOT have a military alliance with the #1 most nuclearized Nation on the entire Planet, who just so happens to be America's #1 sworn enemy ... in RUSSIA!!!
So, boys and his let's all get ready, since it's going to be a BUMPY RIDE before things, hopefully settles back down😳☹️🧐🤨
