Wow, what a surprise, an experienced driver with consistently decent performances over a decade reacts differently than an almost rookie in his 2nd year hmmmmm
Crazy isn't it
lool Hamilton beat fernando in his rookie year thats mentality, doesnt matter if ur a rookie its how bad you want it, how comepetive you are and how capable u think you are. Max was the same beat every team mate that steps in the same car with him. Mentality seperates the good from the great.
Perez has had that attitude for the whole of his F1 career. Albon was well... Bitch like
@@michaeli.g8050 i think you are mistaken, he didnt beat him, it was a tie (like verstappen pointed)
@@jasjeetsingh1401 I think you are mistaken. Lewis got 2nd place and Alonso got 3rd place because Lewis got higher podium places than Alonso so technically you're wrong. Please do your homework next time kid

@@hldx.z2393 Max could’ve won in baku and won in france because of checo. He was stopping hamilton. Albono never was in the top 5 and was basically the 2 mercedes vs max. If redbull wins the constructors title this year it’ll be because they kicked albon and hired perez

Checo never finished P2 for RBR, that was after qualifying while Albon's reaction was after the race. Not to mention that Checo is mad because he just missed out on pole and their difference in age and experience is huge. Not really fair to compare the two.
yes lets just not compare two f1 drivers at all ever again!
@@iFlickdown We can, but in equal measure. Not with some edited video that tries to create a false narrative.

Yeah 😅
You can’t really compare the reaction directly after the race to the post race interview when you’ve chilled out and want to bring out the positives in the interview
Also it was perez in quali and albons was after the race. Perez didn't even finish in the points that race
maybe they should have used the "they race me so hard" bit
Thats true, Checo in the radios was very angry, but un the interviews says that he was rlly happy with that position
Hey, whatever gets the views right?
It’s funny because he compared qualifying and a race result
What do you expect from a RUclips creator just jumping in on an F1 Reddit craze?
Plus last year’s rb wasnt a title contender so he has to be happy with p4
Ita funny because he compares a rookie with confidence issues from a less supportive team to a experienced driver who's in his first race winning car after about a decade in F1.
Also, they compared team radio to after race interview.
This aged like milk.......
It is funny to look at it now 5 consecutive q1 or q2 exits while albon makes q3 in Williams
I think it’s really unfair to compare that honestly
Theyre both driving the same car. Its the fairest comparison.
@@Takataz actually is a different car and also Perez have been in f1 since 2011 so its unfair
@@davidfreyre8596 the difference in speed and qualifying should be close to the other car. With perez it is, with albon it almost never was. When i said same car i meant same oppurtunity.

@@davidfreyre8596 true, neither of them come close to max but when the lights go out checo seems to be moving forwards and improves his position where albon was moving backwards.
That was Albon finishing P4 in the race, but the radio from Perez was him getting P2 in _qualifying,_ not the race.
Yes but Perez has some elite race pace, not like Max or Lewis but he is very fast on Sunday and he is a Tyre God, Albon was under too much pressure but I think that Perez is too because he has seen his team replace a driver 3 times with such ease that it wouldn't be a problem to replace him too, they are both very underrated and underappreciated.
Netflix: “that’s it. You’re hired.”
Difference is that Albon had a much worse car than Perez.
Take into consideration:
-Albon was rushed into the RB seat.
-Albon has a lot less f1 experience than Perez.
-This years Red Bull is a lot quicker than last year.
-Albon was under constant threat of replacement from the team and media which effected his performance.
-The car was not matched to Albon's driving style.
I also want to point out that im not taking away any credit from Perez, im just saying that if you're going to criticise Albon you have to do so considering the factors above. I don't think his RB performances were great in 2020 but im sure we never saw him anywhere near his full potential. I just hope he gets another chance and doesn't turn out to be another wasted talent like Kvyat or Magnussen.
still cant complain they race you too hard, its a race
Albon had more time in the RB car than Gasly tho.
@@MikeCobweb did you maybe consider that what happened to gasly is exactly what unnerved albon
Even more ; knowing he could be replaced at a whim
It’s a thoughtful comment among the chaos.
@@asasasasa3739 People really misunderstood that message. When he said that he meant that the Alpha Tauri's were racing him to the point where they were risking their races and burning out their tyres just to keep Albon behind because he was in a Red Bull. Alex Albion is a very fast driver. Remember he did get taken out of 2 podium places by Lewis last year, when Max had DNFs. Sergio is brilliant, but Alex needed another year.

It is pretty obvious that Perez is mentally more stable to Albon. I mean he's been in f1 for a decade while Albon for 2 years switching to a hot seat too quickly. If you look at the two first 2 years in f1 Albon achieved much more and was much more calm and collected
what did he achieve exactly?

Perez when he finishes 11th:
Look at Perez in 2013 when he went to McLaren, that would be a more fair comparison. A young driver struggling in what is supposed to be a top team.
Exactly. Perez had the speed but was out of his depth in McLaren, making mistakes and being overly aggressive as the pressure grew. Fortunately, his generous sponsor bought him time to rebuild and gain valuable experience.
Please stop comparing drivers checo has 10 years of experience and he was gutted because he was so close to taking his first pole position.
Whereas albon had like 1 and a half years of experience and had one of the fiercest teammates in the grid.
So think about it before comparing them.
max is still there, not like perez is the first driver
Max got into red bull at the age of 18 and immediately performed.... So if you don't want to compare albon with Perez we can compare him with max but it will only make things worse
This is the best way to compare them, albon was happy to finish in the top 10 and thought he was doing a good job where as Perez knows how much is possible in that car and so he wants to be fighting verstappen. I love albon and defo think he should have a seat next year and everyone knows how quick he can be but his mentality wasn't right in the red bull, look as norris he is so self critical and that has only made him better.

No shit, Albon hardly ever got praised by the media or many f1 fans, but Perez is like f1's golden child, almost everyone seems to love him. Perez can chill, Albon had to take everything he got even if it was just 4th
Perez just got moonlight in 2020 season because of sensational pink merc n vettel's deal. Before that he was called pay driver not even top 5, a solid mid field driver. If he s as you said the golden child of F1 then he fully deserves it. Albon on other hand had to prove no way... Remember 2013 checo in McLaren.. Who taught he would stay God damn 10+ years in f1 n driving redbull today.
I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve the seat, I’m saying that this video is unfair and Albon has already got enough hate we can stop going on about it. It happened and time will tell whether it was the right move. The fact is that this video proves nothing and is just rude. Albon has not even had a chance to prove everyone wrong so just chill out.
@@onr28 yes it s rude.. Myself as f1 fan feel for albon but some ppl won't get over it.
@@tima7598 I get that but this video is just out of order because it presents fake news, the reactions are from different points in the race weekend and it manipulates the words of these two people to make Albon look like shit
Agreed. He had one win and people were acting like F1 would be over if he didn’t get a seat in 2021. Now look. He’s nowhere near Max.
Its not a fair comparison, Albon is a young driver so there is plenty time for him.
well sure but not in F1 lol. Red bull will absolutely not re-sign him unless something super drastic happens like a COVID substitution race and he finished 2nd or better, and sergio and tsunoda both do terribly the rest of this season. The fact that they didn't get gasly back after last year speaks volumes, Gasly will never be in a red bull again, but may stay at AT for a while. I dont think there is any hope of AT taking Albon back either because I think they'd want to try Daruvula first. Above all, zero chance any other team signs him if he cuts ties with red bull.
@Caps Lock your telling me 5th place in a better car than the one albon drove is good enough? also qualifying 8th and not being able to help max in the race?
@@machineee ikr

@Caps Lock Due to Perez shit qualifying Max lost the race. If perez is just 4th within 20 seconds of the lead max has much more of a chance to win the race
Aged like milk
Cant even compare this years car to albons car
Not a fair comparison. One has 10 years experience in F1, the other 2. Also, Red Bull have also figured out their instability issues for 2021 which was down to their transmission which was why they couldn't render it out completely last year. As I see it this year, Perez has no excuse in the car being unstable so looking forward to seeing both Redbulls at the top if he can.
you know what they haven't figured out?? To take responsibility when they bottled a race and 'congratulating' the other team because they had a "quicker" car. If this season another 2nd driver underperformers, then I m pretty sure it's totally not the driver's problem, it's a management issue
@@adityasanthosh7697 While I'm sure there are things they could have done better. There was no preventing the fundamental "Hungary V2." Lewis pitted onto a scrub set of Mediums that Verstappen didn't have. If he were to pit he would be on softs that could not go the race distance. Another stop would have to be made putting them further back. In regards to Horner's comments in stating the Merc was faster, the merc is kinder on its tyres this year than the red bull hence them being able to maintain a faster lap time for longer. That is what was meant. As far as having an extra set of mediums, the battle was lost in qualifying unfortunately due to tyre selection and Merc having that second place advantage and Bottas as a small 'cover' for Hamilton. Nothing more.
@@MrDuckboy69 Leclrec did 28 laps on soft so to pit in lap 42 say 23 laps to last.. Max bottled up.. I was expecting him to take pit stop.. Because overtaking was not easy.. Though sir Lewis on medium..
@@tima7598 But Leclerc is also lapping far slower than Verstappen and Hamilton up front. The Ferrari also have differen tyre wear to the Red Bull and a different chassis design/rake and therefore, can't really make a direct comparison. But as I said in previous comments, I'm sure looking back on the race, Red Bull could have done a few things better but that is all in the benefit of hindsight.
Youre right - there is no comparison. One is ffast, other is Bottas 2.0
While I agree you did choose team radio for Perez where media presentation is far less important and then you chose a TV interview for Albon where media presentation is hugely important so he's going to say nicer things about where he finished and also not to mention the Red Bull was far less competitive compared to the Mercedes last season so P4 was the best Albon was going to get since Max is faster than almost everybody.
ummm this negates the fact that;
1. Perez resonated his disappointment that he didn't get pole and that he can improve further even in the media press conference... and Perez also praises his team's efforts during the distressed radio message just as he did after during the post-race interviews, so nothing was altered or changed between the Team Radio and Media appearance by Checo. AND
2. Albon complaining at one point last season, and I quote "They race me so hard" on Team Radio. And ending his season with P13 quali performance in Abu Dhabi... In the second fastest car in the gird last season, with Max fetching Pole... after 1 and a half season of experience in a RedBull.
It's not nitpicking, it's just how it is. Perez is just a hungrier driver than Albon.
@@sahilsanil2157 Fair enough. Like I said I agree with what the video is trying to say I was just merely pointing out the choice of clips but you are right. Although it's funny that both drivers have performed similarly after 4 races at least in terms of points.

Perezes car is way better than albons were
What a stupid vid. You can see from both drivers they wanted more. Can't you remember when albon was going to win a race (even though he had way better tyres)? Perez having a much better car this year couldn't even approach to a ferrari. Of course perez is better, I mean, he's been in the sport much more time. Don't underestimate Albon, the potential was there, even Marko admitted he had a different car. Anyway, I hope checo finds success here, he's a great lad and a great driver.
Agree, the 2020 red bull was more a agressive Verstappen car. 2021 is more a car for both
I mean if you miss pole by only 3 hundreds I can understand the reaction from Pérez
Well this video didn’t age well
There’s soooo much context behind sergios radio. It was during a wet Imola qualifying where Hamilton didn’t improve on his second lap, and max made a mistake on his second as well. Sergio easssily could’ve been on pole, but made a mistake in the last corner.
Sergio was miles closer to pole than Alex was
The big difference is the car, Sergio knows that his car is the fastest car on saturday. While Alex had the 2nd fastest car, and was up against one of the best in one of the hardest cars.
With all due respect the Red Bull is still the second car, i think youre trying to say the gap this year is much smaller. Yes thats a valid point but the counter to that is that the gap between Merc/RB to the midfield was quite massive and on paper there was often no reason for Albon to qualify below a B tier car.
@@dutchdude1985 the gap between midfield and RB/Merc was really small in 2020. Albon qualified less than 3 tenths behind max in monza. Max was P5 and Albon was P9.
@@Screwy23 Monza, yeah that's shows a lot. Red Bulls worst track each year.
@@amnaah653 then look at Abu Dhabi. Lando was 2 tenths away from Max's pole lap. Look at leclerc throughout the season. Racing point qualifying 3rd and 4th in Hungary.

Its almost like Perez is driving a championship caliber car in a competitive season and Alex Albon is just in his 2nd season and just finished P4 in Yas Marina after a tough season
although Perez hopefully does improve, it is reassuring to hear the voice and mentality of a veteran of the sport at the end of the races. Yeah but only one of these guys hasn’t been out qualified by Logan Sargent
You can hear how shocked and scared Perez's engineer was after that massive "fack"
Some say the Mexican cartel knocked on the engineer's family house that day.
Albon is actually good, was just put under too much pressure too early in a top seat, should've been able to develop in the Alpha Tauri instead of being pushed to the top.
He was pushed to the top because Gasly performed horribly in his red bull races by being so far off the top 5 and getting lapped by Verstappen. In hindsight they should have put Kyvat in the RB because atleast he has some experience in the car and let Albon develop more then at rhe end of the season, so for 2020 he should have been bought in
@@maxb148 that marco wont take his own words bro, we know wtf that rb doing to put albon a rookie driver to that seat, they have a fuckin kyvat there, but yeah there is some ego in RB so if albon get so much hate after he leaving that what i call this F1 fan sometimes gone crazy with someone already not in F1 😂
@@maxb148 it's so weird. It felt like both Gasly and Albon and even Kvyat were all just rushed into Red Bull. Verstappen adapted really well after being rushed in, because he has crazy adaptation skills. But not everyone is a verstappen.
And when you have a car that you find difficult to adapt to (like Albon and Gasly) along with having expectations to fight near the front every race (& kvyat had a lot of incidents bc of overdriving), it can be a bit of a troublesome situation. I'm surprised they still did it with albon, after what happened to Pierre.
In fact, albon initially showed very similar promise to what Perez is showing at RB, and ironically they both effectively went from last to 5th in their first RB races.
Maybe they just wanted a young driver lineup to show off the work of the Red Bull academy. But when you're a front-running team with drivers who do not have much experience and can't trust the car, it can be a sticky situation and it can make your academy look worse.
But I guess hindsight is the greatest teacher.
Ngl, besides this being a bad comparison which most of you are aware of already, I like the reaction from perez. It shows his raw ambition and competitiveness. And the continued to be respectful to his team. Much respect
Do a mentality difference video between Max and Checo.
Except after 4 races, Albon scored more points than Checo, 36 for Alex in 2019 to 32 for Checo in 2021. And Checo is having a tough start to his RB career. He may have qualified P2 at Imola but he squandered it all away in the race. And that Imola quali has been the highlight of his time at RB so far.
Not to mention, the RB was clearly the third fastest car in 2019. Whereas this year, it is challenging for wins on a weekly basis.
Context is important. A P4 is more of a win on a tough weekend than a P2 on a weekend with no real challenges.
Lol Aged like milk😂😂😂😂😂😂 well well well how the turn tables😂😂😂😂
Considering that Albon was just in his second season compared to Perez who is vastly experienced this comparison is just not fair
Lmao all the media is trying to play up Sergio , while they didn't hesitate in destroying Alex and Pierre at rb ,I guess they thought that these two drivers clowns and don't deserve to be in F1 ,and now their goldon boy is seeing the reality of rb and max verstappen,he clearly has the best and most stable compared to the 2019 and the horrible 2020 car ,lol watch any 2020 onboard ,even though max brought out the laps ,the car was always on edge ,it always looked like it was going to suddenly snap
Again, only Golden boy un F1 is Hamilton. Used to be Vettel but not anymore.
True
I think Albon had more points than Perez right now this many races in. So It is all still to play for right now.

Dany Ric told the same thing
@@AkilahHussain169 They may have the same owner but the AT and the RB are very different cars.. Albon has mentioned this. Gasly would probably tell you the same..
Actually not. Pérez has quite a bit more points than Albon at this stage
What about now?
@@vaca493 :) If he wants to win the championship though he needs to step it up. I don't think he'll get a second year at Red Bull because of that ass hat Marko.
Alex is such a humble kid
That aged well
Yet Perez isn’t doing that much better right now
Lol, currently albon has better results on his 4 first races compared to Perez, I disliked albon very much but these comparisons are so braindead, Perez has a much better car and much more experience and has yet to prove himself at rb
Somehow this is true
Coming From AT its easy to get comfortable with RB from Get go as it is B spec RB, A year or 2 older version of that
And thats why Albon was under pressure from the Start bcz expectations from him was high as he was doing good In AT so they thought it will be same with RB..
@@AkilahHussain169 so ez that three out of drivers recently switching from one to the other so clearly failed
@@dubsteak it was the pressure that took them
Nothing to do with the talent
Something RB needs to learn from Merc as Russell is fully prepared to step in Merc and challenge from get go
ikr and people won't accept these facts lol
Aged like milk Albion is a tier 2 driver unlike crashez
Did you realise that it was actually one of Albon’s strongest weekends, stop undermining him into gravel for speaking straight facts
Kinda unfair to Albon, picking and choosing
Time will tell for Perez dont be too quick to judge
Difference between a rookie racing his first season and a guy who is basically veteran who hasn't had a great career.. finally this is chance to win something.. cuz he has a fast car.
Perez: radio reaction after quali
Albon: live interview after race
Not proper compare..
It's weird to see Toxic fans commenting about that there're way too much Toxic fans around here 🤔

"Toxic" is literally an internet word lol nobody gives a shot about being called that, its just typing ya weirdo
@@nekaneka-lo2js Thank you 😘
@@nekaneka-lo2js he is talking about guys like you btw
the 2020 red bull was a difficult car im pretty sure alex would have done pretty well in the 2021 red bull he helped develop it maybe he would have done even better than checo because he was finally getting into the groove but checo will get there soon
Perez and Albon shouldn’t be compared, Perez is much better since he’s been in F1 for way longer, he’s also the better option for Red Bull, but Albon deserved that AlphaTauri seat next to Gasly at the very least
This isn't a diference of mentalities the circumstances are different therefore the reactions differ.
Why music?
Excuse me but one is a sophomore on clearly 2nd best car and other is a veteran who knows that he is in the best car.
That first one was clearly qualifying
2 things I want to point out. Albon was in F1 for 2 years while Perez was there for more than 10. Second in 2019 and 2020 redbull had third fastest car and second fastest car so after lewis, bottas and max p4 was the only good position. This is why I wholeheartedly agree with banning tiktok.
P2 in Qualifying, he was some shit in the race. 12th right??? 2 spins???
it was because of the rain. It is substantially harder to drive a car you are not familiar with in the wet than in the dry
@@alexanderjames6274 and it was his second race with that car, which sure is completely different to the Racing Point
thats why u use the right words and be grateful, because u never know if sunday would be a good day.
@@AndroidBguz5 but he didnt deliver that P2 position from the grid and he spun in SC which is idiotic for a man with 10 years exp, I do think RB is too desperate to fight mercedes and needed a driver to deliver, while perez this 5 races has been not good at all and not helping max at the front wether its personal or car problmes. Maybe Alex could do a better job because hes got the exp with the car and developments over the winter like lando did.
@@alexanderjames6274 Albon drove in the wet, 2nd race, new car. He was fine
The people i don't understand are the Albon fans, I mean i get it, he's a nice driver and did a nice job in both teams given the amount of time he had. But you start to criticise checo who is a veteran of a decade, who never got a seat at a top team,
comparing a 10 year veteran’s post-quali radio message to a 2nd year driver’s post-race interview is not a differing mentality
One was qualifying, one was a race, they’re not really comparable
Perez is one of my all-time favs! Love his style!
I could honestly take or leave Perez kind of neutral on him plus it doesn’t help that it seems like so many fans seem to be biased towards him such as him winning driver of the day in Portugal for qualifying p4 and finishing p4
It's a shame there aren't more than 20 seats on the grid.
Perhaps F1 should reconsider its idea of 3 car teams once again? They once suggested it, but didn't go through with it around the time of Bianchi's death.
It would be great if possible but, with the cost cap it would be impossible.
Shit idea
Albon simply is a humble dude. and he's down to earth, and knowing he finished that car way above what it's meant to be. He doesn't cheer like a little girl just to get disappointed the next race again.
Albon didnt really get a chance at Red Bull, and neither did Gasly, they were pretty much rookies and clearly not ready for the position, while Checo had already been racing for a decade
this didnt age well
I'm pretty sure you can do it better
Perez was in a constructors fighting Red Bull. Albon was in a red bull that just changed mid season
Now Hulk has more points in the last 2 races than perez in the last 6
"They're racing me SO HARD"
Reaction on radio between reaction on tv can’t be compare like that man!
This aged well 😂
