Baking Soda and Oral Health
Cavities: Baking soda might offer some help in preventing cavities in their early stages. It can neutralize acids in the mouth that contribute to enamel erosion. There's also some evidence it helps remineralize enamel, potentially closing tiny gaps. However, it's not a replacement for proper brushing and regular dental checkups.
Tartar: Baking soda itself isn't strong enough to remove existing tartar buildup. While it can help with plaque control, which can prevent tartar formation, established tartar needs professional cleaning by a dentist.
Hydrogen Peroxide and Gum Disease
Gum Disease: Hydrogen peroxide does have some mild antibacterial properties that could help reduce plaque and gum inflammation. However, there's limited evidence on its effectiveness against gum disease. For gum disease prevention and treatment, proper brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits are crucial.
Here are some additional points to consider:
Both baking soda and hydrogen peroxide can be abrasive if not used carefully. This can irritate gums or damage enamel with overuse.

Xylitol, good diet, oral hygiene, natural mouthwash and hydroxyapatite toothpaste, Vit D3 and k2. These are all things I've started thanks to your channel. The dentist said my gums looked great and much less tartar than last time. I've switched to a medium toothbrush to help strengthen my gums too.
This is such great news
What is natural mouthwash?
one that is not made form chemicals but uses things like essential oils
When I started vitamin K2, it drastically stopped tartar, I was so surprised and so was my dentist!
yes the K2 makes a huge difference
@@EvolveDentalHealing I live in Canada, and no dentists suggest K2. I try to tell people about it and they think I'm crazy!
yep lots of gaps in the training - brush floss isn't enough, got to get to the underlying causes

@@EvolveDentalHealing Hi how much and for how long (?) I tried Jarrows k2 mix. I think it helped with allergy season. But I havent noticed tartar reduction.
I have switched to a carnivore diet and now I hardly get any buildup at all. Previously I ate a healthy diet but did include healthy carbs. I got quite alot of buildup. Now I am zero carb.
Me too! I'm carnivore and zero buildup on my teeth, it's so great!
I'm certainly going to give that a try.
I've been using it too and also recommend it to my patients
@@EvolveDentalHealing if all dentist... or even half ! were like you... real info & really helping... gosh.. much thanks from Belgium
What do you think of Dr Ellie Phillips protocol? I’ve started doing it. Im also a previous patient of yours.
i think its too chemical-laden if you are aiming for a holistic approach
Is this safe for children? And can this mixture be used everyday? Thanks!
Yes, absolutely
How much water for the recipe?
I started eating cheese daily , just a serving or two. Cheeses like gouda, parmesan, cheddar have higher amounts of k2 compared to other cheese. This form of k2 is more easily digested / absorbed. I swear that cheese , and brushing more often, has helped reduce my tartar buildup :)
half a cup of water
Thank you!! 👍🏻❤️
You are so welcome!🙏
I find stop using a brush and only fingers and salt rinse with water is they way to go
not something I would recommend as this isn't a very effective technique
Merci!
vous êtes les bienvenus
what about Xylitol

I thought baking soda was less abrasive than most toothpastes.
depends on the brand and toothpaste has surfactants in that make it slippy so you are not getting a scratching action
@@EvolveDentalHealing I think it depends on how much is used too. A little would definitely go along ways. I personally only use water and rarely get buildup now that I eat a carnivore diet.
@@EvolveDentalHealing doesn’t xylitol also raise the pH of the mouth. I’m a little nervous to use baking soda but I do have a lot of tartar buildup. I just went to my dental cleaning on October 3 so would you recommend a K2 D3 and also trying a new toothpaste?
4:55 xylitol
