i just tried this recipe it was great! I baked some mushrooms and courgette and dip it with the sauce. Be careful when u open the coconut milk, I had forgotten to shake it before I opened it.
I sometimes open the can upside down so that I use the water to cook in my curry first. Later, I add the cream part to finish off the dish off. Just a idea to try it, works for me save splitting too 😉
Been looking for an easy recipe for ages, I spend a lot of time in Thailand/SE Asia(retiring there this year!) and I know a good satay sauce and this is a really tasty one! Thanks !
I would suggest you use Ketjap Manis in lieu of brown sugar and dark soy sauce - at least that's what my Dutch Indonesian brother-in-law used, plus some Sambal Oelek over the rice to eat with his satay skewers
Yes as a german living close to the dutch border I have to highly agree, I have aswell a way better dutch/indonesian Satay sauce recipe with Ketjap Manis,Sambal Oelek and Palm Sugar. These morons in the comment section here dont know what they are talking about, when it comes to great Satay Sauce. These days everybody got to create his/her own bastardization of Satay sauce... 🙄
@@akankshapatwari4167 Nope it tastes way better with classic indonesian palm sugar, that is always included in the original and authentic satay sauce. This guy here unless most of the rest here in the comment section, actually seems to know what he is talking about...
@@akankshapatwari4167 I never said anything regarding peanut butter or using real peanuts. Only that it tastes better with palm sugar. But since you mention it, there are A LOT of different peanut butters, you wont taste the difference between an organic and natural peanut butter (little sugar, little oil and so on) and peanuts.

As a german living close to the dutch border I have to "disagree" with your recipe. This is not how you make real Satay Sauce. I have a better, authentic and also quick dutch/indonesian Satay sauce recipe with Ketjap Manis,Sambal Oelek, Palm Sugar etc.. While this for sure not a bad "satay style" sauce, real satay sauce just tastes different and the ones who created it (indonesians) for sure know better what they are doing.
Perfect video .
No messing about, straight forward and especially none of the usual RUclips faff
thanks for the comment frank

I think the peanut butter is sweet enough so no need for brown sugar .

@@BabaDerBaer80 I wouldn't use Peanut butter but peanuts instead, then I would use brown sugar/ palm sugar/ jaggery etc.

Thank you look yammmmmm ❤❤❤.
finally an easy recipe...........
Good 👍
is it healhty using peanut?
Nice !!!!!
Where did you get those mini sauce pots from 😍😍❤️
Looks great !
👍
Probably impossible but is there a way to get the taste but keeping it nut-free for people with allergies?
I don't think that's possible, I'm afraid. Satay's main ingredient is the nut, so I don't think taking the ingredient out will make it a satay sauce.
Tahini might work.
Sesame.
❤❤
Delicious
Nice upload

Nice😘
Thanks 🤗
nice
I couldn’t get it to thicken! Tasted lovely but very runny 🙄 What did I do wrong?
Got to cook it on low heat and keep stirring. Be patient.
Reduce coconut milk.
Nice ratio of ingredients. However, always and I mean always ensure you start by frying off the spices.
Do you need to use fish sauce?!
Hey Ashleigh, as Indonesian we don't use fish sauce to make satay sauce.
You're doing it wrong lady. This is not how how you make this.
