Brian Moir Thank you for a well presented and fully informed video. having spent many hours trying to find a fully informed learner video this is it. MANY THANKS. Very easy to understand, Congratulations

Hey Jonathan, Very good video. It's really helped me on how I'll be able to use LittleNavMap on Xplane. As I've xplane-12 and the new release of LNM I'll look at how is it. Have a good day. Thanks
Hi Jonathan - late comer to your videos - they are excellent! May I ask where you go that St Johann airport scenery from - I'm struggling to find one that is as good as that - thank you. SIMON
Thanks for this video. Is there any advantage in using Littlenavmap (apart from it being free) compared to the latest version of Navigraph & Simbrief? LNM now seems rather complicated and time consuming by comparison, as well as the interface looking rather dated.
Great explanation. The only thing I don't get is the "nose wheel steering" How do you do this? I didn't think this was available in the default Cessna 172
Many of the more basic flight simulator aircraft allow you to either steer when it's not a feature of the real aircraft, or implement braking of the rear wheels in response to the rudder inputs.
@@jonbeckett The airport symbols weren't there; I loaded nav graph or something to that effect and they showed up. Now If only I could figure out a way to get Little Nav Map flight plans to show up in X-Plane's Garmin 530 catalog. (O.K. this video showed me how to do that, thanks)
@@briancallaghanmusic At the time I actually had a T-Flight stick from Thrustmaster - which had a rocker axis on the back of the throttle - I used to configure that for nose wheel steering :)
Ah yes that's an even better idea 💡. I will try that. And, I will try downloading the map app you have used here on the ipad and sync it to the PC , see if it works. Did you use actual way points here and did you insert artificial ones?
Yes - not everybody can afford a system capable of running and recording at 1080P. Just as a note - leaving comments like this reflects pretty badly on you.
@@jonbeckett it was just a question. I even didn't dislike your video. Although it breaks an eyes when you try to watch a GUIDE of that kind of software. Can you Share your System which cannot afford 1080p while recording browser or desktop?

What a brilliant tutorial, thank you so much, as always it's in "layman's terms", going to try this.
Really good tutorial...well explained, been meaning to learn how to use Navmap for a while.. thank you👏👏
Excellent tutorial. It should obviously apply to MSFS as well (I hope!).
Yes - all the basic navigation procedures/methods work on all of the simulators :)
Great Vid! Thanks for posting. Thumbs Up!

I think that was stock X-Plane 11 scenery.

LNM does a LOT that Navigraph does not. They are not the same tools as each other though - worth having both to hand.

Any plans for X-Plane 12? Can we expect some videos soon?
Thinking about it :)
When I right click on the airport in Little Nav Map the option to Set as Departure is grayed out and I can't set it as my departure.
That's a bit odd.

Great tutorial, but how do you remove the yoke from the panel?
Y button
Is it works with airliners and fms?
Of course.
@@jonbeckett Thank you for answer. Another thing, i can't see my aircraft on map.
@@GringoMuchachos you have to connect littlenavmap to x-plane, which requires a mod for x-plane. It's detailed in the LNM instructions.
Exelent vídeo
How do you steer the nose wheel?
You can map the nose wheel steering to an axis.
@@jonbeckett ah, so that joy stick left/right does 2 jobs 🤔
