Mickey Loomis has tried to do what Howie Roseman has done with absolutely dreadful results. Howie kicks cap hits down the road all the time too…but he does it by extending excellent blue chip talent in their prime and adding excellent young players behind them. Mickey Loomis has a dreadful roster with a terrible cap situation and not a lot of draft capital to boot…an absolutely dreadful situation for a new HC.

i think the difference between the two is the HC and QB combo was at least worth investing in whereas dennis allen and carr are two legit losers who have done nothing in their long careers as HC and QB.

I think you mean Howie Roseman is using Mickey Loomis’ strategy but having far more success. The problem is the Saints’ last few draft classes have not been great and they have busted on most of their first round picks in the last like z5 years

They could of rebuilt after Brees left but they gave stupid contracts to Hill/Thomas aswell as keeping a bunch of aging players past their primes, literally the opposite of how to run a franchise.

George Clooney should put Derek Carr and Deshaun Watson in Oceans 14 because those two have pulled off the biggest heists in NFL history.

Chris Simms understands. Mickey Loomis still thinks he can win now with this roster. THATS why he keeps kicking the can down the road. THATS the problem. It's clearly time to rebuild but Loomis refuses to. Another problem is Loomis HAS NOT drafted well in recent years.......particularly at the oline and dline spots.

Taliese fuaga had the best season of any rookie LT and Bryan bresse is one of the best pass rushing d-lineman in the league. And if you look at the contracts this is where the kicking the can down the road ends. We’ll probably gonna end up cutting a lot of players. But nobody looks at the salary cap after this upcoming year. You guys don’t realize we had a roster to win now after one of the best draft classes ever. So we tried to maximize those contracts and it didn’t work but just look at the contracts after this year.😂 that core isn’t together anymore so I think we’re done kicking the can down the road. Mickey knows that window is closed now .

@@shrayl6276you were supposed to stop kicking the can down the road after Sean P left.

@ yea in hindsight but at the time nobody was saying we should blow it up. Still had a competitive enough team

Mickey Loomis has railroaded the Saints organization. Haven’t made the playoffs in 4 seasons & the play on the field has gotten worse each year . He’s bottom 2 worse GMs in the NFL

The Jets and Giants would be happy to be in the playoffs every four years!

Saints have been lousy drafting the past several years (last year was ok, though) thanks to GM Loomis. AND he does this salary cap nonsense every year. He's the one that needs to go. Stop drafting on potential and start drafting on PROVEN players.

let them all go, pick up the first pick, draft Nico or Arch. Profit.

Cam Jordan and Tysom Hill need to be cut. Hate to say it, because they're among my favorite Saints ever.

The are not fine cap-wise. The keep pushing things to the next year (for about 10 years now). If they keep doing the same thing over and over they are going to end up bankrupt, with a new owner, in a new city.

So a head coach with a mediocre track record coaching a mediocre team is going to make the Saints better? That doesn't make any sense.
