Even if there were zero witness, they’d still kill Tom. Even if they found her father’s dna in her, they’d still say a black man is guilty. Her mother “has been long gone since she was little”, she’s 19, and the house is filled with children. Her father’s children that she raised as took care of. Plus “no adult man had ever kissed or held me..my pa don’t count”. Yet the town did nothing to help her. Her father is using her to revenge a man his daughter fancy. It’s easier to convict because he’s black. Goes to show that an evil, most vile white man is more worthy than an upstanding, kind, respectable, disabled non-white (in racists’ eye). It’s 2020 and karma is now kicking our butts. Oh, how the chickens has come home to roost.
Well said I would say. Even after 100 years since this court case was made at one point it sucks that in today's modern age court has not changed from the 1930s compared to now.
The 100th anniversary was to celebrate Universal Studio's 100th birthday by showing movies/movie clips that were made between 1912 and 2012, with one of these being greatest moments in Universal's cinema history. As for the film it's only 60 years old since it was released in 1962. BUT, it WILL celebrate it's 100th anniversary when 2062 comes around, and for the book to turn 100 years old in 2060. By then both To Kill A Mockingbird AND the film itself will reach public domain by the time 2054/2055 comes around, so by the time we get through the 2030s, 2040s, and the 2050s, most of hollywood's greatest films, works, and music of the early to mid 1900s will be in the public domain for anyone to use freely without restriction. Just you wait until Walt Disney's Snow White and MGM Studio's Wizard of Oz works become public domain, those things are going to be wild as heck.
It's annoying how much evidence against it and yet he was still found guilty. Like how?
Racism
@@AprilA15 yea, racism sucks
That’s the real world, Mr. Howitzer
@@MrBoss-re6lp I know, and it's sad
Because he had the audacity to be black in a rural southern town during Jim Crow.
