Danny, I got my Kenwood R-2000 in May of 2018 for $75. It was a local sale. I enjoy it very much. However, it has poor sensitivity on the high bands, like 10 Meters. I may attempt an alignment one of these days.

Pretty good find at that price. This one is missing the RF ATT pot and the CW and SSB does not work. I don't have anytime or any work space to try repair this one, especially when parts are being sold at ridiculous prices. Hopefully I can pick up another R-2000 someday and I will use this one for parts. I look forward to seeing any repair videos you post Paul. Thank you for watching. Have a good day. 73 Danny KD2ZZE

You are going to love this radio, Danny. Check out the videos I did on mine- 60 dollars at Goodwill. I think I paid three times as much for the VHF converter! It’s maybe the most underrated radio of the era.

I'm definitely enjoying this radio. I don't know if I will get the VHF converter because I only wanted this radio for HF and I seen the converter cost 3X more on Ebay. I have to watch your videos on this radio. Thank you for the comment Arthur. :)

What a deal! I think I spent over $200 for mine back in 2014.

That is still the going rate for this radio. It's not a fully functional radio but for $50 I had to buy it. Thank you Dennis. :)
