- I love the old Kenwood R2000 units but now and again, about every 20 years, they need a tweak as you will see in this video. A fantastic Kenwood product to have in the shack. If your even slightly adventurous, I am confident that you can fix your own Kenwood R2000 VFO without any expensive kenwood repair centres, Cheers brenton vk3cm jdw229 pls subscribe and also feel free to join us on Facebook at Aussie Radio Pickers or vk ham sales and service anytime...

Peter Gore Seer,
I Have Just Bought One Of E Bay,With Converter, Its Working Well.
I have a Kenwood R2000. It's not very sensitive on the high bands, like 10 Meters. I'm going to attempt an alignment.

cheers from across the pond. glad your feeling better.
Good info! I will have to tuck this knowledge away for a rainy day. I have a ham shack full of old Kenwood gear.
Thanks for the video!

Thanks mate,
well done
I realize this video is 3 years old. I just found one and had the tuning issue and I followed your instructions and it works! my next issue is I only get static, no sound from a local station. The S meter shows a string pulse as is it is getting the station. Anything I can look for? Cheers.
Thanks for Tip Benton I am Glad you on the road to recovery.
My VFO or board have no room between them to get to the pots. I can’t see them from the top at all Do you have any ideas?
