The point is killing animals for fun should be called out. Maybe they will have less fun watching the dogs tear apart a defenceless fox knowing how disgusting it is! Good on those who voiced their disgust!
What the fuck makes you think these people care about their horses? They abuse animals for fun, of course they don’t. You should feel for the horses and the foxes, not the hunters.

DontBeStupid Stupid Pretty sure this was an ambush, and wasn’t expected. People yelling and surrounding a horse is going to spook it, regardless if the rider is advanced. I feel they should dismounted, as it would have been safer for themself. It isn’t the rider’s fault for the horse being scared, when people surround and yell, which is the sign of a predator. Horses are fight or flight, and with this many people yelling, their answer is flight. Heck, the people riding didn’t do anything wrong, this wasn’t actual fox hunting, it was a fake trail to train dogs in the future, and no fox was harmed in any way. Did you see any fox bodies being carried? No, because they didn’t hunt any.

Actually they have nothing to protest, fox hunting has been banned for years. These hunts are trail hunting or drag hunting. Trail hunting follows fox scent and drag hunting follows scents like anise laid buy a human runner dragging a rag. There is a possibility that trail hunts which use fox scent to work the hounds could come across a real fox out hunting (literally the only straw sabutuers have to grasp at) but not drag hunts. They protest both regardless. 'Hunting' is about scent work for the hounds and riding along with horses, they aren't out killing foxes anymore. The saboteurs love to spread misinformation and collaborate against hunts, buying horns to call hounds into traffic, laying trip wires for horses, grabbing or trapping horses, grabbing riders, keeping roadkill foxes in deep freeze to make false reports etc. Many hunts ride with helmet cams now. I used to be part of a group who infiltrated sabutuer social media but it became too exhausting and UK police won't touch either side with a ten pole so documenting it is fairly useless.
@@samc4978 that’s not true. There are so many loopholes in the laws, so they get away with actually hunting foxes. Law enforcement do not enforce the law, so people do it anyway. Many hunting saboteurs actually film while they act, so the angry riders can not harm them without consequences. Thousands of foxes are still killed every year because of these hunts, and thousands of their dogs are killed if their owners believe they don’t perform well enough. It’s really a cruel practice.
@@samc4978 there probably are some people that fake stuff, and I’m not going to support them. But you can’t deny that fox hunting isn’t a problem, because both the riders that participate and law enforcement are failing.
@@Adrians1999 None of that is true. Thousands of foxes is ridiculous, especially 'by accident' many times pre-ban hunts or American hunts conclude with out even seeing a fox. The scent is lost or it's 'gone to ground' in a den. It's not a very efficient way to hunt. Farmers and rifle hunters shoot foxes in the UK to this day and are much more efficient, rifle hunters are even allowed to use hounds to flush out foxes. Hunts are only so many weekends a season anyway, not often. If thousands on foxes were killed in general there wouldn't be such overpopulation. Hunts take the law and public perception seriously, I was part of their Facebook groups for years. Even though many older hunt members think the ban is hypocritical. As for Sabs filming, that's why hunts started filming back. They grab the horse's bridles then act like they are being trampled, they grab at riders and scream bloody murder when the rider pushes them off. They try to block roads and trespass. They scream obscenities especially at children. They try to call away hounds from the master with horns they buy on Ebay, often calling the towards roads because they are following from the roads. They beg for money to buy stupid tactical equipment, atvs and vehicles. When you infiltrate their pages they are mostly class warriors who think the hunts are 'wealthy toffs' or they hate farming, riding, and the countryside in general. As for the hounds they are what makes a hunt, it's all about scent working the hounds. Otherwise it's just a trail ride. They are raised as a true pack and they work together like only a pack can. They are raised alongside their littermates as puppy packs and interagrated into the main pack. They live loose together in open buildings with very large yards separated by sex when they are adults. They may get traded to other packs or retired. Hounds are exercised daily by hunt staff and it's popular for participants in the hunt volunteer to walk with the puppies. They are trained to follow a particular scent and ignore everyother scent. The hunt master uses the horn to direct them and whippers-in flank the pack to make sure it doesn't splinter. Regular riders trail behind. Hunts ride with permission across farmers land and turn back if the scent crosses out of bounds. Its unlikely hounds will hurt pets. In fact pets of hunt participants often mingle with hounds and old school pre-ban hunts had small terriers which traveled with the pack to dig out fox dens. Old-school pre-ban hounds weren't trained to be bloodthirsty killers either, it's instinct of the pack passed down by generations. The pack teaches itself and the kill is a natural conclusion to the chase. Hounds can be called off a scent too, they are highly trained not mindless beasts. Trail hunters call the hounds off if they cross paths with a real fox. Here in the US my local pack 'hunts' coyotes. You rarely see them, but if you do the hounds are called off. When they do see them members try to get pictures. Hunts aren't the sort of chase where you are watching the quarry run for it's life, its all about scent. Often a hunt ends with the quarry 'gone to ground' and you never see it or the scent is lost. Or if you do see it, it's after you've spent most of time not seeing it. American Hounds do not really have killing instincts it's more glorified trail hunting even though hunting is not banned here. It's considered successful if you find a den, then you leave.
The horses shouldn't be ridden the poor horses don't have a freaking choice same with the dogs The only innocent animals here are the foxes, horses, dogs and the protesters. The hunters can fuck off. As I have mentioned on another site, I will ask the question once again. Is this a Fox Hunt or a Drag Hunt? The Hunt Community has accepted the Law against fox hunting and it has changed it's methods towards a more natural way of their 'Hunt'. Drag Hunting is a method of using dogs to follow a scent. Fox Hunting was a tradition of dogs following a foxes scent. Before people start blowing me out of the water, you need to understand how dogs are trained to follow a certain scent. I'm sure that trainers of Cadaver and drug dogs will back me up on this. The dog is rewarded with every positive find. That reward has to be positive. Since the abolition of Fox Hunting, trainers have had to either retrain their dogs or train new dogs. The one thing people have to realise here, is that the a dogs sense of smell is 100% better than a human.
Also in Australia, Lugton studied the diets of 212 foxes from south-west New South Wales between 1985 and 1989 - he found sheep remains in 31% of cases, with fresh newborn (i.e. up to a month old) lambs identified in 4% of all stomachs on average. This average, as is often the case, masks regional variation and Lugton noted that evidence of lamb consumption was ten-times greater (i.e. 35%) among foxes collected within a kilometre of lambing flocks. Lugton concluded that where fox density was high, with a high proportion of older animals in the population, lamb predation was likely to be severe. Subsequent to this, Lugton autopsied 172 lambs, most less than three days old, between April 1985 and the spring of 1992 and found that, of the 131 for which a cause of death could be assigned, 40 (23%) were considered to have been killed by foxes.
So what, so foxes eat lambs and chickens in farms. Well they can't help it they just see prey. I'm totally against hunting for fun.Pest control and hunting for food I'd be alright with. But hunting with dogs is just cruel, there are more humane ways to deal with foxes, this is wrong. But either way these protesters are out of hand. Distressing the horses is extremely dangerous. If anyone (ESPECIALLY THE CHILD) gets kicked off their horse, they could potentially die. If the horses panic too much and decides to run into the crowd, it's going to backfire. A lot of risk for not a lot of gain. I mean really. What did they think protesting is going to accomplish? It still goes on as it is a practiced tradition and should be treated as such. But I highly doubt those same people protest Halal Slaughter Houses because they don't want to be "Islamophobic".

@@bensims7501 The debate for Halal is very much relatable here. And I didn't say it was right, I simply stated that it should be treated as a tradition like any other tradition would be. And what other humane ways are there? Pesticides? Electrocution? At the end of the day, any animal is trying to live. And therefor killing them can be classed as "inhumane". I suppose it changes on what your definition of "humane" is. We are in the food chain like any other animal, and so for us to kill any animal below us is only natural, the same with crocodiles. Many birds and fish were "Out-Crocodiled" by crocodiles, and when we kill them all we have done is "Out-Crocodiled" the Crocodile. And as for "Not where humans get pleasure at the foxes expense" argument, that just makes no sense. Any animal which is killed and eaten is at that animals expense for human pleasure. We don't need to eat meat, we can very much live from vegetation. But I highly doubt you do.

@@freezer7790 The first horses to go through can communicate with rear horses that it isn't safe up ahead. If the adults want to risk it, that fine, but its 100% ridiculous that they let their kids go through. I suppose they like hiding behind their children though.

Awoooohooo
Maybe but what about the chickens? The fox doesn't let them go and no-one holds protests for them, or my neighbours small dog the fox'll have him
I totally understand why these people are protesting, but yelling and horses shouldn’t mix.
@@samc4978 Yeah I was just thinking, “I don’t think they kill them” lol. I heard about how it used to be a thing but not so much anymore.

Its a cultural tradition to do a pest control run pre breeding season of the foxes...its gone on since the 16th century. It's an effective means to cull the population before it explodes. It may not be the nicest way but I suppose it's better then dousing the area with poison that effects other critters that aren't a problem. I'm not sure what else could be done that's a safe and reasonable option for a pest problem....one man cant terminated that many foxes alone. Look at the states....they use dogs to hunt invasive boar.
Yes i see where your coming from but foxes are pest at the end of the day and they need to be controlled to allow for there to be a healthy balance. As foxes today have no natural predators the hunt must step in .

I'm from Newport in Melbourne & see foxes regularly in the streets , a studies show 16 foxes per km2 .
A so long comment for a so dumb concept, just a question: How many by humans?
So what, so foxes eat lambs and chickens in farms. Well they can't help it they just see prey. What about the straight cyclists? 🤔

It seems like it's more a case of envy as to what kind of people historical went on a hunt E.g, lords of the land. It's actually getting bigger in Australia as a sport aswell as a way to deal with foxs. As stated many times in by others every time this comes up you'd be surprised just how effective dog hunting is compared to other methods. Shooting is alright if you can magicly hit it perfectly where if you don't said fox may run off with a leg hanging off, baiting it by far the worst with the time it takes and the how it does it's job, trapping is ileagal in Australia which the violent yet reasonably quick and guaranteed death by dog to be seen as a viable option
@@gettinglost316 I'd say fox hunting would only be okay with dogs if the dogs catch the fox quick enough or if the hunters will actually shoot the fox instead of letting it die of exhaustion, which is unnecesssrily cruel.

So many concerns for the horses being yelled at.
Hmmmmm lets all watch a mother fox being ripped apart shall we?

I'm quite right wing and I am with the protesters here. Civilised people don't cause animals unnecessary suffering.
Have you ever seen a hen house after a fox has been through it?
Shut up you oik.
What what.
@@frackcha exactly.
Eh? What relevance does that have? Lmao these comments are off the rails. @@frackcha
@@tikho3795 I really have to spell it out for you huh?
A fox will tear through every last chicken in a hen's house and most of the meat will be wasted..
The OP talks about unnecessary suffering while being completely oblivious to the actions of a fox towards its prey, as do you, frankly... Hopefully (for your sake) you're just young and inexperienced...
These people have nothing better to do? It’s a fox hunt, not a bank robbery… jeez.
I cant respect any protest when they stand there and say shame on you. Your voice means nothing and it's literally wasting your time
Nothing like a bit of animal cruelty to protest animal cruelty, great work 👍
Except theirs is unintentional, and pushing for a long term reduction in suffering, not just one day. You absolute idiot.
@@SuperYtc1 NEWSFLASH: Fox hunting was banned in 2004
So fox hunting is banned but nobody gets arrested for it? What’s happening? Someone please explain.
Well it's not illegal its just youre not allowed to hunt them with packs of dogs also Boris voted against it
Nobody cares, traditions need to be maintained..
@@CollinKillian Fuck tradition for the sake of tradition.

@@KenzongLepcha-lm3kq Ah thank you. Now I know.
This is weaponized protesting. There's no benefit for anybody there.
Maybe the officers get paid a bonus for dealing with people retarding their own protest goals.
I definately dont support them now, even of i did before watching this.
Traditional fox hunting remains lawful in Northern Ireland. After the ban on fox hunting, hunts follow artificially laid trails, or use exemptions laid out in the act. Please know your laws first, if it’s Northern Ireland the police are doing nothing wrong, if it’s any where else in the uk it’s not an actual fox
Those are Welsh Police............
Ukogbn W it is against the law in the jurisdictions of England, Wales and Scotland to hunt a real fox, they follow a faux scent.
@@kiwikiwi7375 yes I know that ? And ?
Ukogbn W what are they even protesting then.
@@kiwikiwi7375 I was commenting on the other guy telling ppl to learn the law when he could not clearly tell the difference between the Northern Irish and Welsh police and thus his assumption this was taking place in NI
The police would not be there if they were really hunting foxes, these people need to educate themselves on drag hunting before endangering themselves and others!
I love how they are trying to stop this hunt. But those horses imagine if one of them actually hurt somebody that would be awful for that poor horse
Whats wrong with you???The HUNT knew there is a protest.Look at them how they are ripping the horses mouths almost in pieces, riding fast in alphalt and they Had their paid bullies to Attack the protesters. Now whos fault is IT that the horses are scared. Have you Seen one of them trying to calm the horse down??They wanted a show and Sorry but you all are talking into their stupid propaganda
@@horse-lover68 : 1. How did the hunt know there was going to be a protest? 2. The horses are scared and they are trying to control them - that is 100% the fault of the protesters. 3. Riding fast on the asphalt? Get a grip. The horses were terrified and spooked by the protesters. Why are you supporting animal abusers? 4. "Paid bullies to attack the protesters" - really? REALLY?
@@dennycarl4245 Give me a Break. Watch the Video, you will See there are people there attacking the protesters. I saw more than enoigh Videos about UKs hunt. They KNEW Where the Protests was and that their Security was there. And I know that your insurance doesent want to pay anymore because of the many attacks against Sabs and mirrorers. I also know that 300 people of the hunt are under Investigation because of the leaked webseminar Where you geniuses talked about how to hide the Killing of foxes behind "smokes and mirrors".So you want the Link to the webseminar Here??? I also know that 2 countys kicked the hunt Out of their property because of their lies, there Killing of Cats, dogs and riding over private property without commission.
Dont try your stupid Games with me.
If the horses we're frightend, why did the Riders kick them through, pulling 9n the reins Like the idiots they are, using Spurs to kick them through, Instead of trying to calm them down. I saw the Masters of the hunt greating the people, but Nobody jumping Off their horses to Walk them through. No "good Boy/Girl", only pushing and pulling. YOU are the animal abusers ahd your time is over anyway.👍
@@dennycarl4245 Yes REALY Who were these bullies with the pink armbadges, who were attacking protesters??? And the cop's were there anyway. So why would the hunt hire them and they did, there is a video that proves this, too. Why should they be placed there, 8f the hand did not know they were trotting and Galopping through the city on hard ground??
If you don't get it, that's your problem. YOU called me an idiot and proved that you are one, who does not know how to protect shepherds. So go get an education and leave me alone. Why do you think you hunters are SO hated all over the world??? Not "only" because of the foxes. Because you are arrogant, you are abusing every animal you tough or you see, you are harassing and abusing people. But AGAIN: your time is over, get a normal life. All other countries can do it, why not the UK?? You know you will go in prison. Is it really worth it, for letting foxes been ripped in pieces by a bunch of bounds?? FOR that you are willing to go to jail.. Poor inbred Dummie.
Police completely absent again. Useless.
If I had been there with my horse, he probably run into all of those people and run away. He hates crowds like that.
(PS Sorry for my bad English i'm French)
Great work covering this stuff
these poor horses don't even know what's happening! AND THERE ARE LITTLE KIDS WHO ARE INDANGERED BECAUSE OF THESE PEOPLE SHOUTING AT THEM AND MAKING THE HORSES SCARED
Yes fox hunting is a tradition, but these people also kill their dogs on purpose if they don’t hunt well, THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT GOOD PEOPLE. Yes the protesters scared the horse, which is also very bad, but these hunting parties need to be reviewed heavily, and some of the stuff they do needs to be outlawed, and even when outlawed, these people need to be constantly watched. Some are not bad but a lot are, and it needs to be changed.
Imagine being a domesticated dog doing the best you can and your owner decides you’re not good enough, and instead of giving you to a family, they decide to shoot you.
I haven't seen one comment pointing out the hippocracy of them saying they love animals but screaming in horses faces terrifying them.
