- The 2020 AMG CLA45 is the newly redesigned generation of the Mercedes-Benz compact 4-door sports coupe. Great video as I’m strongly considering both of these right now. I just drove a CLA45 AMG yesterday with the Dynamic Plus package ... this car checks all the boxes for me, which includes dragging my 2 teens around and commuting 40 mikes to work.
Glad you enjoyed it! The CLA is a wonderful vehicle. I think it’s biggest selling point is the all wheel drive, compact and very aggressive “GT like” styling.

I have the CLA45AMG in this exact trim! The AMG sports seats are amazing. Coming from a BMW M car I was nervous, but this is an amazing vehicle. The MBUX system is a little temperamental but liveable. The degree of system customization on the dash is overwhelming. Road noise is minimal, ride is very comfortable even in the firmest setting. There a definitely some minor weird little kinks in the day to day usage, but these are centralized on tech, not on the actual vehicle. All minor annoyances go away when you bury your foot. This is a great buy!

Mario Cajic your welcome first time watching I’ll subscribe I have a question is the cla 45s in Canada or coming to Canada ? Cause when I go to the website all I see is just cla 45 not 45s they don’t have the s model also I’m not rich I may have some money next year little bit cla seems like a nice price and also I wanna buy second hand or a year old next year I may find one that been returned or just sitting in the lot and wanna buy it cash now between this and the e63s I know the e63s is nicer but how is the comfort in cla 45s ? Comfort is very important to me I like sport comfort cars like e63s or the gt 63 4 door got both comfort and speed but cla 45s seems like it got speed but not sure about comfort I drive an old Volkswagen Passat 2008 lol nice car but not sure how I will like the comfort mode on cla like when driving on comfort mode over bumps and rough roads where I live there is a lot of rough roads in Canada and constructions in Toronto I really prefer the cla because 2.0 engine is always a plus for me specially with this speed and most importantly it’s much much easier to repair I seen the v8 engine v12 take the whole hood space and seems like hard to repair 2.0 seems like easier access let me know if I’m wrong anyways sorry for all the questions but if you could tell me comfort let’s say between driving a Volkswagen Passat or any other regular car compare to this how would it be ? Like from 1 to 10 let’s say how much difference and also if you can tell me if cla 45s will be in Canada and also comparing this to e class how much of difference will be in the comfort sorry mumbling all over the place I’m sure this car compare to Volkswagen I drive it Honda is much more comfortable but if I buy one I wanna see a big difference not small difference like Honda Accord for example or Volkswagen phantom which was the luxury model what do you compare this cla to for me to understand I like relaxing rides don’t like bumpy ride but I also like the sport mode when I’m in the mood to push it lol have a great day if you help me out with my decision would be great if it’s too much you don’t have to reply it’s ok but if you have time and can reply or when you have time would be great 👍
Evan’s Show I’m not certain there will be a CLA45S in North America. I believe it’s only for the European market but I could be wrong.
As far as comfort is concerned the CLA45 still rides fairly stiff. The suspension is tight and tuned for taking fast corners. Even with the adjustable suspension you feel everything on the road. I could live with it though. If you want more comfort I’d go with a C43 or the E Class.
Mario Cajic thank you I would love the e63 but it’s too expensive almost twice price as the cla I saw a review that’s very comfortable and fast ok so my question now is you drove other cars before right ? Like a Honda Volkswagen those regular cars I have 2008 Passat and it’s not and in terms of comfort I do feel bumps on the road so comparing their cla to another car what do you think is the difference in comfort like to any regular car is it a step up ? Is there big noticeable difference not sure what cars you drove but compare it to any basic car Honda Civic Honda Accord Jetta Passat just to see if at least the cla is better in terms of comfort not speed and at least a good amount. Of difference
Evan’s Show honestly the VW or Honda would be a smoother more comfortable ride. The CLA is much stiffer. Scale of 1 (soft) to 10 (race car stiff) I would say a 5. And the VW or Honda I’d say is about a 2-3. Hope that helps . See if you can test drive the CLA45 and feel it in person
in europe these cars used can cost around 22k euros is it worth it around 90.000 km on them

you can get a face lift 2019 for almost the same as a new high optioned CLA45. C63s is a monster compared to this 4pot. More room, cargo space. If you've driven the new C63s you'll realise this CLA is not in the same league. The infotainment is not a deciding factor if that is someone's argument.
Agreed. For the same money I’d find a C63S with low miles. But seriously this CLA is impressive off the line and the new upgraded tech
C63 is dated af, interior is dead and exterior looks boring
@@fayahmad9063 The coupe shape will go down as a modern classic design. The interior asthetics may be boring / dated AF (as you put it) , but the mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering is as good as anything in this sector, if not better. If you're going for boring, look no further than the benign RS5 , numb numb numb. I just hope the M3/4 is something special, otherwise this generation C63s will still be the go to car for the real driving enthusiast, who wants to be entertained and feel and hear the power of a very special power plant. Yes I own one lol
Stuart Lloyd-Jones you’re right about the rs5. C63 even though looks dated is still miles ahead of audi and bmw in the looks department but still dated for a current Mercedes. Just don’t get why they didn’t update them.
@@fayahmad9063 Next year we'll see what Mercedes and AMG plate up for us for the new C Class. Will they go 4pot, Inline 6 or V8. Money on 4pot hybrid. Thats why the 2019-21 MY c63s will be the car to keep. I can live with a slightly dated interior. It has apple car play a decent sound system, ambient lighting from E Class and the new steering wheel with dials attached for performance modes. It will remain in my garage for years to come. Then when all settles and the electric car market becomes more realistic monetary and infrastructure wise I'll dip into that. Still too expensive for a battery powered car considering there are approximately only 10% of the mechanical parts you get in a ICU vehicle.
How are the bucket seats are they realy that stiff as people say it’s is ?
I’m 5’9” and 170lbs they’re not bad... I prefer the bucket seats actually since they hold you in place and they just look too good!!
If they are the same as the previous versions of the a45 then they are relatively stiff but very supportive for spirited driving. Long road trips probably wouldn't be ideal but other than that they are great.
I am surprised that Mercedes does not offer and carbon fiber parts on the exterior and interior of the AMG 45 models. But somehow the lesser 43 models get them.

The CLA features two 10.25” displays,
The E has two 12.3” displays.
Both have the latest MBUX interface with touch screen and voice activation. (“Hey Mercedes”)

@@melomario1 Unfortunately, European regulations will make V8s impractical in the future. AMG will be reduced to little 4 bangers with as much turbo as they can squeeze in.
You’re right. and I think to compensate, it will be electrification in the future. Hence why the next C63 will be a 4 cylinder with some sort of electric assistance with a supposedly 530hp?
It’s the strict regulations that are forcing the industry to adapt.

Customers may concern about the 4 cylinders get overloaded and makes it less reliable than the C63.
I got a 2015 CLA 45. I have already scredded 3 turbos. The cla 45 is not relieble at all😂
