@@Kallogee- I had some terrible experiences as a child, but it doesn't compare to this man's torture. His story brought tears to my eyes several times. Christ set me free a couple decades ago, and I'm never surprised how he brings a person out of the darkness when that person invites Him into their life.
It's refreshing, redeeming, and rewarding to me when I see it, but no longer does it surprise me.
May The Lord bless you, as well and make you whole. He who has ear let him hear.

I have told so many people about this pod cast interview. It has changed something in me. My 12 year-old daughter was kidnapped, raped and murdered in 1999. I have never considered true forgiveness to the man who brutally murdered her only my definition of it. This has made me reconsider EVERYTHING. I have cried a lot of tears watching and listening to this.

As someone with a 12 yo daughter I can understand your dilemma. I truly don't know if I'd be able to forgive that. Would this man forgive someone that killed his child? Forgiving your own personal abuse is something different entirely, so don't feel bad if it's too hard to forgive. But also look at it as you're releasing yourself from the pain. I am truly, truly sorry. ❤

I love Victors story about where was God? When I was 5 I was at a family reunion surrounded by 50+ cousins at a park playground. Back in the 80s things were very different and you didn’t keep an eye on your kids like we do now. I had a very scary older man, a homeless man come up to me and specifically ask me for help. Just like you said, they can just tell when a child has been abused and pray on those children. He took me by the hand and led me away from the playground into the wooded area. He then sexually assaulted me, I wasn’t scared as I was used to this but then I heard a voice. I had a cousin who came to look for me. This is when I got scared, he started to freak out and told me to leave, I couldn’t understand what I had done to make him so mad at me. So I went back to a trail where my 18 year old cousin found me. No one questioned where I was or even knew I had been missing. My cousin never told anyone because she thought I was just wandering. For 30 years I wondered where was God? How could God just let this awful thing happen to me when I was already facing so much abuse from my own dad. Did he not love me? Where was my protection? My cousin messaged me one day out of the blue 30 years later and told me “I remember, it was me, I found you!” I asked her that day, “why did you come looking for me when no one else knew I was even gone?” She told me that a voice told her that day to “go find Anna Now!” She listened. For 30 years I thought God had abandoned me when in fact he had saved my life…. I had been gone for at last 45min. God is always with us, especially his children. I cried through much of Victors testimony. What a powerful podcast, what a powerful man. I thank my Lord Jesus Christ for seeing me, little old me. I am his. He loves us so much.

@@Nicole-Eo I’m so sorry Nichole that you know this pain. None of us should. I love what Victor said about kids born in the fire don’t get burned by it when they are grown. It’s so true. I think that many of us survivors are the ones awake to all that’s going on right now and it’s because we know what real monsters look like. This gave me chills, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I had a similar experience early this year where my husband hung himself and something told me to go look in the garage. I saved his life, but I have horrible ptsd now and at first questioned why am I being put through this. But your explanation of God used me to save my husband truly gave me goosebumps. I've become very spiritual/ religious in the past year or so and this just pushed me more in the loving/spiritual side and now I look at that moment as a wake up call. Thank you for your post, there is true demonic energy in this world and us light workers have to continue to help those in need and listen for the signs ❤

@@KeLLaBee09 my heart aches for you and your husband, he’s so blessed to have you in his life💗 You are so very right, we are light workers and perhaps you needed that trial to know that you can not just hear but also so you know that you can obey his voice. I often times think about my 18 year old cousin who didn’t even know me. Why did she listen? God knew she would listen and obey and he knew you would too, but now you know you would and do. We think we are so insignificant, Satan would have us believe that but we are everything to our Father, our Master. He’s so proud of you💗 Thank you for your message to me, sometimes I think I shouldn’t post this kind of stuff because it’s so sacred to me but if it could help but one person then it’s worth it. Thank you Shawn and Victor. It really touched me about the elderly lady that prayed for you for 30 yrs. It made me cry. Jesus first saved my life as an infant; my birth father was beating my mother to death and my grandma woke up and started praying for us. My dad stopped and left the room giving my mom time to grab me and run into the night and get help. She did leave him then, but married many other times to horrible men that physically and sexually abused me and my half brother. My whole adult life I was unable to love and accept love, but about 10 yrs ago I came back to Jesus and am healed, praise God! Just recently, my brother has also came to Christ. God is good, never give up!

59:52 I'm a pastor and I have seen, witnessed, and been a part of some horrific stuff. The question Victor asked himself of _"where were you, Jesus"_ knocked me to my knees!!
I sobbed uncontrollably for the next 10 minutes. I've had out of body experiences where I was at the gates of hell and my Lord and Savior was there with me!! When I put a gun in my mouth and wanted to eat a bullet for breakfast Jesus was with me. And when I had done harm to others I was really doing harm to my savior.
Of all the times we've questioned _God where were you,_ He was right there with us, enduring alongside us. The glory is His, not ours.
Hallelujah!! Thank you my God, my Savior, and my Father forever!!!!!

This was literally like a breakthrough therapy session for me. Trauma does the worst things to children and you have no idea where to put the blame or feelings attached to it. I know in my heart that Jesus is the only place, but I literally don't feel like I know how. That sounds so bad bc I've always been a believer but for some reason, I'm scared. Your podcast and the incredible guests you give a platform to have been a catalyst that has encouraged me to become a better father to my two kids, a better husband to my wife and a better man in general. Keep up the good fight brother, and if you ever doubt the impact you’re making is large enough or making meaningful change, know that it is.

Shawn, Victor was so right when he said (in Part 1) that God has anointed you. I've always loved your interviews but since you've come to Christ these interviews keep getting more profound. Victor and Eileen are incredible representatives of Christ's love. Thank you for sharing his incredible story! May God bless & protect all of you and your loved ones!

To God be the Glory,to use Victor to reach the almost unreachable. The trama he endured as a child is horrifying. When he told how Jesus was there and bore the stripes with him and covered him was so vivid I could almost see it through my tears. What a testimony of God's love.Thank you Shawn for these amazing stories you bring.

This is by far the most profound episode. I can draw a lot of parallels from my life to his. I am on a journey now back to faith and forgiveness to my father for the things he's done. Im letting go of the fear held as a child and the wrath as an adult. I joined the military for 10 years to become strong and found the same exact people there.
I don't go to church for the same reasons Shawn spoke about. It's interesting because that's an actual story about Jesus in the bible. People of faith saying "we are better than them" and Jesus explaining that the sinner is the audience.

This is extremely compelling and I want to thank you Shawn for having Victor on. His words ring so true, I see the perpetuation of family of origin issues daily as a therapist, and we have to acknowledge and break it, which requires hard mental health work. Cognitive and behavioral changes are a must. Compassion for others and their inability to recognize they are pushing those learned behaviors, reactions, etc forward. Great one sir 👍❤

I truly need to write this man. First time in a long time that there might still be hope for me. I broke the childhood trauma cycle, but I ended up hurting my daughter's anyways when I tried to take my life. 2 of my daughter's still haven't forgiven me. I swore I wouldn't be a monster to my babies, but I ended up failing them anyways. I can't forgive myself.

Victor’s Testimony was so powerful that it brought me to tears. And, how he came to know Jesus Christ, Redemption, Forgiveness, and Grace made this the most powerful podcast Shawn. As I am a fairly new Christian, God is using you and your talent to reach those who don’t know Christ. Instead of a carbine to fight evil, you are using your God given talent of interviewing to let people know God exists and his love for us.
    Thank You Sir
