No they don’t, I was there when they were in their 20’s. Slowed down and their tone isn’t as heavy and you can tell Chad isn’t even enjoying it.

I say this with a lifetime record of staunch heterosexuality: Nick has always been one of the best looking dudes around.
311 will always be my favorite band. They’re like the dead nowadays , the Greatful Dead that is. They might have mellowed a bit from their younger days but they always keep me coming back. Their music has brought me through so many good and bad times in my life. I’ll never forget jamming the entire blue album with my rollerblades on as a kid and looking at the picture inside the blue album and thinking these guys are the coolest people I’ve ever seen in my life.

These guys are so old, but they rock harder than the majority of acts nowadays.
Loved listening to these guys in high school and college 20+ years ago, they can still bring it hard or soft, it's cool to see a scene like this playing a hard song in a more mellow environment but still bringing the energy within reason.
311 will always be timeless.
Man, Nick sounds incredibly good. Granted, he's not old by any means, but having been performing since'92 and to still sound every bit as food as he's ever sounded is amazing. Great vocalist!

This. Yes there is rapping and there's rocking. But they're also often very heavy. And usually some element of reggae. Add to that some jazz solos and progressions and how do you even describe Chad? I've listened to them for more than 25 years and it's still impressive and entertaining.

Sometimes I feel like Tim Mahoney won the lottery. He doesn’t write any of the songs, his soloing ability is extremely limited and honestly very bland. But he gets to have a blast playing in a legendary band making millions!
