Sum 41 is the perfect example of a band who has artistic integrity but also have an understanding that their “hits” are popular for a good reason and not shying away from keeping those old songs alive.
Props to Derrick for remaining a helluva showman despite all the shit he went through. Dude is back in full force. This is a band that I thought would have met it’s demise already. But damn Zummo is a kickass drummer, Baksh is back and they are still laying it down like nobody’s business. I’m 47 now and the early 200s is the last time period that I miss. God bless these guys for still throwin down!

Sum 41 was always the superior group out of that era. They write better riffs, better lyrics, harder music. It was pop-punk but definitely a lot of metal influence. Paiiiiin for pleasureeee

I never got it before.. But there's obviously something special about this group of people that sets them apart from a lot of bands from that era. Maybe its their likeability, passion, maybe its talent, maybe its the composition of the group..maybe it's all of the above. But there's such a cosey feeling to this that's hard to describe. It's amazing.

I can't believe "Summer" is 19 years old. 2019 now and being alive long enough to hear they got a new record coming out is one thing, but they kept their pop punk style and instead of going full pop, they're embracing metal a little more. I'm no fan of metal music but I do love sum 41. Damn it's weird being old. I'll take this over trap music almost any day

Great mix of new and old tracks. I'll admit, I've fallen out of listening to them the past decade or so. But they keep the albums coming and are killing it live. Definitely staying relevant in this era of safe music.
