We have Berretts contract which will steadily increase to $30M/yr in 2026. We have Jak's $20M. Jak and Barrett will be UFA in 2027, You have to take all that into consideration. I would first address bookkeeping... Gary Trent jnr on $18.5M/yr, Thad Young on $8M, Otto Porter jnr $6M, Gary Tenmple $3M- they are all UFA 2024. Chris Boucher $11M and Jalen McDaniels $4.5M -UFA 2025. I would trade all of those guys to create cap space thats around $50M freed up maybe only keep one vet like Otto. And I would keep Koloko as he's on $2M depending on his health condition. For those that wan't to keep Siakam or sign OG, if you traded all those guys of let them go then technically you could sign either Siakam or OG to a bigger contract. But your bench around Dennis will be really thin. No depth. I would rather include those guys in a trade package around Siakam and get back 3 or 4 good pieces. Then you will have a proper roster with depth.

You absolutely can clear the space. The only thing I was concerned about is if there was some rule banning the Raptors from being the team he comes back to but ultimately if the Spurs could bring back Jakob last season after trading him at the deadline, the only reason we can't bring back OG is if he's locked in on NYC. A lot can happen in 3-4 months.

You absolutely can clear the space. The only thing I was concerned about is if there was some rule banning the Raptors from being the team he comes back to but ultimately if the Spurs could bring back Jakob last season after trading him at the deadline, the only reason we can't bring back OG is if he's locked in on NYC. A lot can happen in 3-4 months.
