Tip from an arborist here. Maintain as much distance from the trees you wish to keep with your equipment as possible. Root compaction doesn’t present with symptoms for several years so those oaks along the driveway may lose half their canopy 5 years from now and you won’t know why, but it’s because you’ve compacted the soil during the home build. Look up “critical root zone” it’s an important step in preserving trees during the build process
