After all these wasted years, I’ve finally decided Somewhere in Time Is my No. 1 Maiden album.
It is definitely my favourite album with Bruce.
@@creamwobbly yeah the album never got a good live sound on a massive stage. Not sure if they are using modern equipment or if they really pulled out those old GK250 RLs from 86... the album is the best sound they ever had. Hoping to also hear a proper live recording.
That album is totally dominated by Adrian Smith, which means it rules.
@@creamwobblyI really like the sound of this album, the guitars sound like sci fi lasers
If you were listening to Maiden albums those years weren't wasted
I can't believe Bruce's voice is still perfect after 500 years of touring, most bands are tuning 1,2 tones down but not Maiden!
Hes the Lebron of metal..even if you dont like him.hes the best out there still.well..i mean Bruce is the best.Jordan to me is better the Lebron.but theyre different players.different eras
Maiden should be recognized as a wonder of the world....
They are leveling up! Playing so fast and more consistently than the previous gigs! Legends!
Just took a bit....several songs they've never played live before and others than haven't played in years.
I'm also pretty sure Nicko had some sort of injury or maybe his arthritis was really bad at the start of the tour. Saw them in Prague and he played very carefully. Then, in Dublin and Glasgow, he was excellent and played so powerfully. Absolute joy.
I also noticed that. The song's performance has improved!
His tempo has definitely picked up from the earlier shows. The bass drum part has been simplified on this song to a more straightforward pattern, but can’t blame him considering it’s really hard to play, and he’s doing an amazing job at 71 !
This album is more complex to play as-well.
I don't know what Bruce is making with his voice but he sings much better than in 1986... absolutely amazing! Somewhere In Time rules in turn!!!
Просто по утрам яйца перепелкины пьет 🤗
He has better technique than in the 80s and takes care of his voice.
So special that Bruce is so on tune despite his age. And without downtuning!!
He's superhuman
My favorite Maiden album.
After Seventh son and killers. 🤭
Bruce is incredible, singing these songs at his age in the same key as they were written and recorded.
That's NOT the same key. He's below the key he sang it in originally. That's why he's shortening the words like "time", and can't hit the Whoaaaa-oh-oh-oh.....notes.
@@jimthar17Thats so true.
Eso es por que es Bruce Dickinson 🤘🤘🤘
@@jimthar17 ehm, no. This is still E minor, the song is played in the original key. One thing is to lower the key of the song and another is to change some melody lines to better suit his more mature voice. Bruce still being able to pull this off at this level and at his age, is just impressive.
@@jimthar17It is the same key. He just changes the pronunciation of some words to make it easier for him. And if you listen to recordings from the SIT tour back then the "oh-oh-ohs" were worse and sang totally different compared to the recording.
They are on fire! It's crazy after a few gigs these songs they haven't been playing are sounding tight as ever. Maiden is unmatched in music and performance. UP THE IRONS 🤘
They've been playing for weeks. Come on man
Ugh, I hate assholes coming in right when the band starts
Can't understand why they avoided somewhere in time after so many years until now! So lucky I saw this tour in London o2 and what a night that was! Up the irons!
BEST band on the planet!!!! Can't wait for them to hit the U.S. again!!!
No! AC/DC is!!!!!!!!!!!!
Уж куда эйсикам до девы🤣
What a night! An honour to witness these Legends once again.
Nicko is definitely back. He improved so much since the first gig. Very consistent, fast and start throwing some nice fills right on the spot 🎉❤
Nah, the whole world knows the fills for decades and Nicko is playing different stuff now.... I'm a drummer and Maiden-fan for decades too, i know;).
Nicko wasn't there on first show it was hidden stand in drummer, only explanation so obvious see how much u can see his head above the kit now. Look at first shows u can't see him at all.
@@martymartin2894I was on the first show and then 5 more and always Nicko was behind the kit.
et le son de sa nouvelle batterie est super !
@@iRemol do you work for the band
IRON MAIDEN CARAJO ❤❤❤THE BEST IN THE WORLD
Much closer to the album tempo than previous shows. Great to see they are comfortable with these songs again. These guys are unstoppable. Can't wait for the US tour!
Never in doubt - even in their advanced ages, they still have it every bit as good as they did in 86! Such a rare track thay was always due this respect of live performance - so glad they brought it back!
Just bought my tickets for Nov. 2024, can’t wait! Saw them back in 88’ Seventh Son tour which was my first concert. They put on such an amazing stage show and still have so much energy! One of the best performers ever hands down!
I fucking lost my mind at this, my favourite song and it sounded fucking incredible ❤️
Great band never lost it. Pure magic
I'm amazed that Maiden pulled out their essentially hardest-to-sing/perform album in the twilight of their career (barring newer stuff with many tracks/double bass etc)
I'm somewhere in there.
Missed one Maiden gig on Irish soil since 1990.
Honestly, they've never sounded better.
Me also and totally agree. Been to a few when the band where great but poor audience response.
This recording is so good man, chilling performance.
Those guitar solos !!!!!! Fuck me! Still at that level. After all these years.....
They are still great ! Dickinson is singing almost the same as when I used to bang my head to the album in 1986 !
It's unbelievable, actually! We're in 2023 and he's singing the songs from SIT better than he did on the original tour back in 86-87. As good as the record! Even more powerful, sometimes! Besides, he came a long way in just one year. At the end of the "Legacy" tour, his voice was shot...it was a proper rebirth!
Is at the right speed of the recording!!!! Ride on Nicko 🤟
What an amazing show. I’ll never forget it.
From where I was standing the crowd was going crazy
Dont have words for how much rocking, a$$ kicking, killer music that this amazing band has produced. So much care and dedication from Band to all the behind the scene workers. You my fine friends have brought us such amazing fun and top quality MUSIC! Thank you IRON MAIDEN
Great video John.. Fan of Maiden for over 40 years..Lucky enough to see them more than most, across the globe..
Saturday night was an "Absolute Privilege", the 3ARENA is a magical room when you get the right band in it..
Maiden were "PHENOMENAL" without doubt one of the best times I've ever seen that.. UP THE IRONS!!
Been a fan since '84. Knew this band was special. They had MTV videos! Only got the pleasure of seeing them once in 2002.
NICKO IS BACK... Finally he plays the song as it was intent to... i was really scared he was sick, or too old ...
Mate he had cancer and a stroke few months prior to the tour starting.
Nicko sounds so much better than at the start of the tour, returning to form!
some good beers 🍺🍺🍺+ IRON MAIDEN = Happy in life 🤩
Wow absolutely amazing can't believe how great they sound after all these yrs and Bruce sounds incredible 😊
The sound on this (considering it is iphone fan filmed version) comes out really well for 'Caught Somewhere in Time' live. Amazing track. Amazing band, Up the Irons!!

This was my second time seeing Maiden abroad. And boy was it more intense than back home in Finland!
Bladerunner opening? So very cool! Up the Irons!
Always loved the Somewhere in time album I remember buying it the year it came out 1986 Up The Irons
Maiden have set the bar for metal bands. Freaking awesome to play a set this challenging at their age! 🤟
bruce looks like doc brown
Hey, Marti...
Some gig I loved it
The goosebumps of the crowd wow
Bruce looking like some crazed scientist who has discovered the key to time travel.
Bruce’s voice is still so good.
Nicko is a fuckin beast
Holy sheeeeeeit! They still sound badass! I’ve seen them many times since price of mind. Thanks for posting this. Great memories
Не пойму, почему это шедевр не исполняли столько лет?
Carajos... this gig seems as one that took place in 1986. Iron Maiden rocks 🤘
Thank you for sharing, brother! UP THE IRONS!!!
The titles to Bladerunner as intro music is the strangest choice I've ever heard
endtitle 👍
The album cover was strongly influenced by Blade Runner as well.
The audience are almost moving. Go Dublin!
Ты хочешь ехать в Дублин!?
Sounding great!
Strong improvement compared to the first shows
I'm anxiouly waiting for the gig in SP
Saw them the first time they played in Dublin. Caught them in Tampa last year. Can’t wait until they come back!
See the show tonight in Amsterdam.
🤟🏻
Opening with the theme from 'Blade Runner.' Interesting.
Coming to Edmonton Alberta Canada real soon. September 30🔥
Been listening to them all my life. 👍

Vangelis intro...nice💯
Hardest working metal band ever!!

Up the Irons! Forever
So annoyed i missed them but hopefully theyll be back :) Thanks for posting!!😇
Simplesmente lindo
Minha música favorita
Nunca achei que fosse ver eles tocando ao vivo depois da turnê de lançamento do somewere
Maiden never played Dublin until 1991 - They had a massive following in Ireland in the 1980s - They could have filled arenas this size back in the 80's but alas it wasnt meant to be - Somewhere In Time in particular was a top 10 album in Ireland in 1986 - so i reckon this tour in particular has brought a lot of older Irish fans out of the woodwork who probably haven't been to a maiden show .. coupled with a lot of overseas folks living in Dublin these days, this was going to go down as an electric show !!
yeah i grew up in Dublin Iron Maiden used to conspicuously skip Dublin i thought. i saw anthrax megadeth slayer ozzy W.A.S.P. bon jovi all play Dublin but no Maiden, weird. they coulda done Slane size gigs, this is the point depot size they were too big for that.
@@tbd407 good point - My thoughts are that a certain group of London managers and agents in the 1970's and 1980's wouldn't consider Ireland for shows due to the political situation. One could say there was a degree of prejudice amongst these agents and managers towards Ireland until the 1990s. I am going to add that I'd say Harris and Smallwood would have been in that camp. Once the bands fortunes dipped in America, they started to look at other cities that could be considered which resulted in the Point show for the patchy "No Prayer" tour. There certainly was a lot of very subtle anti Irish sentiment in London up to the mid 90s. It manifests itself in very subtle ways. Most agents and managers were definitely not like this, but some were. It comes from ignorance and a lack of understanding - one always remembers The Smiths playing Irish tours in 1984/85 - why? Because they're Irish and knew it was a great place to come.
@@scottblack9213 yeah that makes sense, they're kinda nationalistic working class guys
@@tbd407 indeed, and by the way I totally respect that. London and England in general was rough and gritty as hell if you didn't have any money. Some might say living in the Rep of Ireland in the 1970s may have been nicer. They were young men into music back and one couldn't expect them to consider anything else other than playing music. Sometimes I do think that the Irish expect regular English people to understand history and almost get offended when the English don't consider the Irish and her history. Most English poor and working class, certainly back then, he had it rough and couldn't see beyond the next pay packet, let alone take into account 400 years of oppression! IAM giving Harris a pass on this one. To add - at least he stayed true to being an Eastender and never modified his accent, which can't be said for Bono, Adam, Larry and Edge - with their endless grifting and change of accent just to get another few sheckles.
I was at the 02 in London Saturday and , this is the best I've ever seen them perform , amazing performance and great setlist. I hope one day to see deja vu live
That mosh pit was pissing me off. Assholes.
@@metalEric69 yeah why pay for ticket and do that it makes no sense to me there are some who go who aren't real maiden fans
@@IanPotts-lv6os definately
Unreal!
Thanks for sharing this dude. I was in the front row and the heat was insane. Amazing show #show13
I was there... 🤩
Bravo , True legends
Que pena que não são eternos....que maravilha iron maiden tocando nesse nível apesar da idade deles. Lendas do heavy .
UP THE IRONS!🕛
THE. KINGS.
There's something about Adrian's note choices and vibrato at 00:06:45 to 00:06:55 that is so distinctively Maiden. Love it.
Play so quickly now. Saw them in Birmingham, they played so quick i didn't even get chance to blink lol. Didn't feel like i saw them play. I need a time machine to go back to the beginning of the show and catch them somewhere in time lol. Was awesome though brilliant performance. Thankyou maiden 🙂🙂🤘
Es como q estos tipos nos llevan en una nave y nos transporta a 1986🤟
Que ambiente espectacular gran cancion
Awesome....!!!!, hope to see them (for the fourth time in my life) at Wacken 2023..., greetings from Chile...\../\../\../
I love it when Bruce comes out waving the Tricolour when play The Trooper....so 40 faced......but at least they have learned their squaddie lesson
Depois de mais de 30 anos ouvir a melhor música e solos fenomenais é fantástico.
Maiden and Priest are the Gods that I praise
Ma ha ko ne lih.... Ham pyngkom🤘
Incredible!! Up the fawking Irons!! Sounds awesome 😎😎!!
Somewhere in Time is unique**
Great filming indeed
❤
🔥
Buena Javi!!!👌👍
If you compare Maiden with contemporaries and almost contemporaries( Crüe, Whitesnake, Saxon..) They are many light years ahead, and delivering an astonishing performance. Legendary band.
Какой дурак их может сравнивать с саксон а тем более мотлоклюю? не🤣🤣
imagine they would make the next album more fast and straight-forward...... they can still pull it off, like the old days 🤘🤘
