As many times as you eat in your car, you need to always have a bottle of hot sauce in your glove compartment. The shrimp, chicken, and greens would definitely be over the top with hot sauce.

Hot sauce for anything and (Malt or Cider) Vinegar for fish or fries or greens
Im confused why he does this as a hobby/business and doesn't have his much needed condiments with him at all times
They used to be so good in the beginning but over the years it went down a bit. They have more locations throughout Brooklyn. I haven't tried them in a while but glad you enjoyed it👍
Wow! i grew up in this neighborhood. Halsey St. and Howard St. I went to Halsey Junior High School and lived where Howard ran into Broadway. Lived on the El there. Great that there are still food places that cater to the regular person. Thanks. Your reviews are really appreciated.

They opened a spot in the Bronx in Co op city. Their salmon and whitings are delicious!
My best combo is that Sweet Chili Salmon with Rice and Veggies!

Head on shrimp is where it’s at. First thing I eat is the head and eyeballs. Next is body and “legs”. Finish with the tail. No need to peel a good fried shrimp or prawn. Everything is delicious and edible.

Greens are very easy over salted using a smoked peice of turkey🤷🏾♀️, the sweet potatoes looked thick and luscious 😋

Great Food, 5 in Brooklyn 1 in the Bronx… I tried the Bronx location because that’s my Borough and IT WAS DELICIOUS… Catfish, Shrimp and Mash Potatoes with Oxtail Gravy 😋😋

Lol. I thought his second platter would be the fried Catfish or Whiting. Fried fish and shrimp are my two favorite entrees at soul food places. Sides are harder choices because there are so many are good sides like mac & cheese, yams, greens, potato salad, etc. And you got to have the hot sauce!

Very favorable, we had the fish, shrimps, turkey wings, crab cakes, greens, Yams, Mac and cheese, potatoes salad, macaroni salad lol so all was good or their mix veggies are delicious seasoned well

You should try Red Rooster in Harlem. It’s owned by Marcus Samuelsson and the food is amazing!

You should check out Lago Kache, it's a Haitian restaurant. You should check it out if you get a chance. If you do get the traditional Legume with white rice and beans. Also, the fried griot and fried fish is very good.😊

In the Bronx we have a Bedstuy fish fry in the bay plaza mall. The fried Whiting is good and you actually get a good amount of fish because the fish are small. The mashed potatoes are OUTSTANDING and the spinach is great. I'll give the food a 7 out of 10. The downside is the tartar sauce which is not the best I'll go too City Island at Johnny's reef and get tartar sauce from there. So continue serving good soul food. I will definitely try your other foods.
