I followed your link to the Mac compile build and thought I still needed to work in terminal to do the install, but then I tried installing the zip file provided in your link in the usual edit>>preferences way, and it works fine. I have just now mixed a gradient 3D and a Curl 3D in a Suzanne and it looks beautiful. Well done on these extra nodes. I can see many use cases opening up. Thank you for your contribution to the community.
Hi. You're welcome :) You can also download the AN+EN daily (or latest) build from that link (blender.community/c/graphicall/phbbbc/) or from my GitHub page: github.com/3DSinghVFX/animation_nodes/releases
wow.... thank you so much 3D singh!!!!! youre an amazing creator and helping all of us here at the blender community. i have a question, is there anyway to randomize the color of the lines in EEVEE? the nodes that randomize like in cycles do not work in EEVEE so i am wondering if there is anyway to do this in Animation nodes. I imagine it in a way like this: create a list of the splines, and assign a random material to each spline or change the material property of each in a random or sequenced way, while maintaining this system in Animation Nodes, let me know if this is something you are interested in solving
You're welcome. Yes, that is also possible. 1) Or convert each spline into a separate object, 2) change the color of an object with Animation Nodes, 3) then can create a Material with Object Color as color input and assign that to all spline objects.
omg this is so good! using falloffs for this is the exact right choice, it's so easy to get falloffs and to work with them. Will this be eventually merged into the animation nodes master branch?
this video is literally & figurativ...-well 'graphicly' ... EXACTLY what you are asking for ! he made a new node that (look at 6:45) does vector trails SO : "Thank you 3D Singh ! for makeing a cool new node that gets you spline trails around geometry objects :-D !"
Thanks. Yes, it is possible: 1) Enable the Freestyle SVG Exporter addon in the preferences. 2) Then enable the Freestyle SVG Exporter and Freestyle options in the Render properties. 3) Make sure that curves have a non-zero thickness (or bevel width). 4) Then specify the output directory and filename. 5) Render the image/animation :)
Hi. You need to download the Animation Nodes + Extra Nodes build, then it will work: github.com/3DSinghVFX/animation_nodes/releases/tag/extranodes-cd-build
@@3DSinghVFX thanks for the fast reply, tried with cycles and it works but changes every frame the color of each spline (perfect for epilepsy :-D). I'll try to solve this, once again thanks for the information and the tutorial :-)
Hi. Yes, there are two ways: (1) The Falloff Tracer node output poly splines. So, first, convert them into bezier spline then use the Smooth Spline node (*Faster). (2) Decrease the falloff amplitude but you may need to increase the Iterations amount to get the desired length. If required, use the Smooth Spline node. (*Slower but accurate).
I am probably missing out something...but I couldn't figure where should I find this node (and where?). I installed v2.2 of animation nodes+extra nodes assuming that it's going to be included there . But it's not, then I followed your github link..but I don't see any falloff tracer nodes there as well. Hopefully, you can explain me where I can find it in more detail. Would appreciate it a lot! edit: ok, for those who are as stupid as me on Github switch branches on the left and you'll see necessary nodes..jeeez
Hi. The build link for Animation Nodes + Extra Nodes is in video description. I have also provided the project files that shall help you further understand the concept of the Falloff Tracer node. Let me know if have any further query :)
Thanks for the tutorial. I am unable to install the compiled-build version on my ubuntu machine; its showing some errors. Please provide the link of updated source code; i'll compile it to see if it works.
You're welcome. You may be using Python3.8 so please try the build for Python3.8 blender.community/c/graphicall/Wdbbbc/ and the source code is available on the GitHub: github.com/3DSinghVFX/animation_nodes/tree/extranodes If it does not work then please report a bug on the GitHub: github.com/3DSinghVFX/animation_nodes/issues
This looks amazing! Wow!
thanks so much for your work, this is fantastic
You're welcome :)
Fantastic
Thank you so much for adding to this powerful tool!
You're welcome 🙏
Magnificent, as always! Thank you for sharing your genius!
You're welcome :)
I am blown away! this is quality
Thanks 🙏
Wow. Man, this is great. You should teach more as well! like the trick at the end, I just used it to learn all types of fall-off today.
Thanks :) I'll try my best.

Will this be eventually merged into the animation nodes master branch?
Thanks. Yes, that is the plan.
Can you show how to do this on a mesh
I have shown for mesh case as well 07:20.
Amazing. Thank you! Can we expect this on the Master AN?
Yes, that is the plan. But you download the build, links in the description.
GREAT
🤗
I ❤ this, congrats!
Thanks :)
Can you make new nodes, please? Maybe a "vector spline trail", to create spline trails from objects, particles, etc.

This doesn't seem to work in the latest version of Blender and Animation nodes. There is no Falloff Tracer node anymore.

@@3DSinghVFX I installed it, thanks!我装上了,谢谢!
nice tutorial, there's one thing i can't get. How you get multiple colors? i tried with objectinfo/random and colorramp but only appear 1 colour :-/
Hi. To set random colors from the Object Info node, you need to use the Cycles Render Engine.
