I stayed in Da Nang in November 2022 at a 5 star hotel on the beach for $54/night. It had better amenities, bigger sized room, newer things, etc., amazing breakfast buffet, huge pool, etc. Hanoi is a bit more expensive.

Da Nang is definitely the best life style, if I’d live somewhere in Vietnam it’d be there for sure

Thanks for the review David. I actually was contemplating between booking Windsor or the newer boutique style Zazz Hotel across the street and your review helped me finalize my decision.

yummmmyyyy Jack Fruit is sooooo scrumptious!!! I have never had the orange Jack Fruit before. King sized beds r the way to go for sure, I wouldn't have any other kind of bed if I could help it. That's a bummer that some of the other amenities were not available, especially the spa! Like u said they should definitely let people know they r under construction so that guest know what to expect or not expect. I think the spa being closed was seriously disappointing. Well I hope u can write it off as a business expense since this is your business. Buffet didn't look like looked ok.

I stayed there 14 Oct - 22 Oct because my grandmother is a couple blocks away. Booked through Agoda and paid about USD$50/night for the deluxe room (only thing didn’t have was the extra table) and didn’t add on for the buffet (considered trying it one day but didn’t think it would be worth $15 so thanks for trying it out! Lol). Everything was open but didn’t utilize, the spa treatments are extra $ anyway. Hated the bathtub, it was way too high to get in, I got a huge bruise when I slipped getting in. The room is really spacious and bed was huge though, saw that it’s two beds pushed together. But not sure if I’d stay there again, would try Zazz across. It’s outdated “fancy” and quite run down. But if you don’t mind it I think it’s an ok stay, definitely wouldn’t pay more for what I paid.

The owner of this Hotel also owns the Reverie hotel at Times Square .
The Reverie is the most luxurious hotel in Vietnam and is a 6 star hotel one of only a few in the world
She and her Niece that ran this hotel are both in jail and in big trouble .
Hopefully the hotels don’t shut down

Better off at La Vela , Nam Ky Khoi Nghia St, for the rooftop pool alone and probably a bit cheaper , although super busy, short walk down to canal, or Mai House, on Ngo Thoi Nhiem St, with lots of small bars and entertainment on that street . Enjoy

Based on what I see under your lens, was not worth it for the price. Not too many people were staying (red flag), under construction on certain parts of the hotel (red flag) and mediocre buffet. The room itself could be more modern -- meh overall. At least u slept well on a bed made for a sumo 😅
