This video made me remind a lot of memories. When I was child making grapes collection and the squized to make wine. I'll never forget the special smells of grapes squized, of chestnut that, mainwhile, one used rost on carbon, the colors of countryside etcetera. And, even more the women used make mostarda, wich is roughly a kind of pudding made with grape juice, sugar and..... even could seem you odd, with stood ashes, also "cotognata" wich is a peculiar kind of marmaled make with a special type of apple (named cotogne), wich grows in Etna land.
Etna land, even more is plenty of farms and vineyard to make wine and that building named in, Italian language, "palmenti".
More of that are very ancient, several built between 1700 and 1861, when our nation was two Sicilies Kind ( time I somewhat ever regret!!)

You know I can’t get enough of Taormina - I’m heading back there for another week in October! My favorite neighborhood to stay in is the area surrounding the Public Gardens.

We looooooved Taormina by day and night. The beaches of Giardini Naxos are much better than in front of Taormina. However, we did not like the food at Hotel Timeo. The view was spectacular but the dinner-not so much. The chef is German and the outfit of the wait staff reminded me of Oktoberfest. I would recommend going for cocktails at night.

Taormina was truly a “magical” experience when we visited in August. An experience never to be forgotten. Thank you for showcasing the city in this episode. Hopefully to return next summer. ❤

First, great episode. Love Taormina despite the tourists and I loved the introduction to this organic vineyard and that adorable girl, who is definitely special. Second, Ginger Beer is not an American creation. It was created in the 1700's in England using products received during the Colonial spice trade with the Orient and the sugar from the Caribbean. I've had some great ginger beer made in Italy though.

Ginger beer is a Jamaican drink as well. As far as I know it originated in England.

If you like the Beach, The Paradise Beach Club in Letojani is awesome. The food is great and the pool overlooking the beach is fantastic. If you stay at the Hotel Paradiso, they have free transportation to the beach club.

I would like to meet this 13 year old prodigy... I agree, she's gonna be something. You might coach her to take the CO2 part of her speech. We're living in anti-C02 times and you don't want any activists getting any crazy ideas (see the Netherlands if you want to find out how far this could go). Just sayin'...

WHAT'S WRONG WITH MALTA???????? There is the nation's capital city Valletta which is full of history, M'dina which is the old capital city, the 3 Cities (Bormla, L'isla and Birgu), plus there is Sliema and Malta's sister island Gozo. You should come and explore Malta and see it first hand before you tell people not to come here

Both Sicily and Malta are beautiful places to visit. The only difference is size, for this reason there is a lot more to see and do in Sicily.

Nothing is wrong with Malta! They only had 24 hours extra and I suggested they stay in Sicily and do Malta a separate trip!
