Phone topic: I live in Sicily full time. I use one phone and have both my CA # and my local Sicilian #. My T-Mobile account uses an eSIM (electronic SIM) with my CA # and my Italian # phone plan from TIM uses a physical SIM card. Sooooo much easier having one phone.
First that color pink looks beautiful on you. Thank you for your videos. I'm working on my dual citizenship. I really want to visit but I'm nervous about visiting by myself and I feel like I need to visit for more than 7 days. Sooo many questions about everything. Your videos are super helpful. Thank you!
Wow so much useful information. If only I was 20 years younger, I would give anything to live there for at least 3 months at a time. Thank you so much for such awesome information. Both of you are looking good. Hugs 🤗 and love 💕
@@YouMeandSicily my sister and I hope next spring. Hoping I have at last one or two more trips. We miss the friends we made, the food, the strangers we meet. We miss it all so much. Tell Alfred to knock off the cigars if he has heart issues! Thank you for all the info. Tell me about the trash there….i heard that there is a trash problem there. Is there trash around?!?
This was a helpful episode, if I could propose another topic for a future video, could you please advise the process of how you go about setting up the utilities in your home? Where do you go? What are the names of the companies to get the electric, water, sewer, and cable connected? How long does it take to get the utilities connected? Where do you go to pay them monthly? Thanks!
Great info ~ can definitely attest to the high quality of the medical care. My dentist in Carini, Sicily is so good! Thanks for sharing. We'll probably get an account with UniCredit when we get back. Grazie 💚 Blessings, ~ Carol Amato P.S. We pay $15/month each for our US numbers and €8/month each for our Italian numbers.
In Italy, every municipality ( town ) must have at least one pharmacy open 24 hours a day, 7/7. ps I was curious to hear your comments about italian televisions, too bad! :-)
@@intersezioni you are correct. They rotate every week. TV in Italy is public supported by a surcharge on the electric bill. It is not partisian like usa
Is there any reason to keep an American bank account if you plan to stay in Sicily permanently? My husband was thinking he could just have his retirement check direct deposited into the Italian bank account. Love your videos!
It's Italy not sure why you are surprised. lol My Italian born dad always used to joke that the more south you went the worse it was. Glad it all worked out.
Hi I was wondring if you are familian with the reduced homes or how much is to rent a one apt. Post office - I will receive my ballot from the comune for an election about 4 months AFTER the election. It takes that long for something to get to the U.S. from Italy. It's ridiculous!
Hmmm…something wrong here. 🤔 I get my “national” (or referendi) ballots from my nearest Consolate-not Italy. Perhaps you’re not registered with AIRE? For “local” (or Comune) elections, I receive notifications about a week or two BEFORE the election directly from my local Comune. Cheers. 👋🏻
