I was a volunteer in Rome for Jubilee2000. Lived & worked there for 3wks in a piccolo paese called TORRE MAURA, on the outskirts of Rome. It was a life experience.
Just found your videos and I love them! I'm trying to catch up and watch as many as I can find..thanks for all the great information! Ohh of course I subscribed.😃
My last trip to my hometown, Giardini Naxos in 2018 I had the pleasure of eating at the "Il Padrino" restaurant in Forza D'agro' What a night, amazing food and location. I'm looking forward to.oneday moving back and retiring in Giardini Naxos 🇦🇺🇮🇹
Great video. We will be in Taormina for a week next June and would love to go to Savoca. I know there are many companies offering tours to Savoca, but is the guide you featured in your video, Christina, available for hire for a trip to the area? (We will not have a car while in Taormina)
@@YouMeandSicily Ok, I see your point now. I was thinking it was just a 10 ton elephant that took all the attention (famous American movie and all) but I understand your point that it is also an embarrassing and misleading cultural element.
Another charming town and non touristy in the Province of Messina ruclips.net/video/B9UEudhRbUo/видео.html
Thank you for sharing these beautiful towns. Hope to see it in person someday.

You are the best!
I didn't like the movie, really and I wouldn't be interested in anything related. However. I love the town!!
I guess if you are going to be the cultural capital you don't want obvious displays of a foreign culture in every shop.
@@paulgooderham that's the thing...it isn't the culture. It's the anti- culture.
