You are seriously the best! You are easing all my fears of being a first time dog dad. Everything you say here are exact thoughts I have had - thank you for reshaping my thinking!
Thanks, Michele and the entire HTTADD Team! I followed all the advice you gave me, and we made it through Bitsy's 'land shark' phase relatively unscathed! You are so great. I signed up for the Pro level course which was phenomenal! Thanks for all you do for us!
Great advice! I used all of these ideas when my pup was in the bitey phase. They helped a lot! As did sign up for your HTADD pro level course! Keep up the amazing things you do for parents of young puppies!
You are right, we have incorporated the biting mini course into the main training program. You'll get all the lessons on how to work on biting, along with games for leash skills, recall, crate training, leave it, drop it, canine communication and more!
We can help! We recently added 8 videos to our online course specifically addressing biting. You can discover why they do it, what you can do about it and how to make it stop! The course also has amazing training games for skills like recall, stay, down, go to your bed and a robust section on leash skills. Check it out here: www.howtotrainadreamdog.com/puppy-perfection-course-learn-more/
We have a 2 month old Bloodhound. He has the sweetest face ever. But with my feet in sandals and his teeth wrapped around them. 😖😠🤬 it hurts. Plus, the jumping up in our face to nip my husband beard etc. We ❤️ him to pieces but those teeth hurt.
It's so frustrating, isn't it! Implement the tips in the video and if you and your husband need more tips, consider the biting mini course. courses.howtotrainadreamdog.com/puppy-biting-mini-course
We strongly recommend that you do not use any types of aversive techniques and/or tools. Gaining your puppy's trust and building a common language between the two of you will happen with one positive interaction at a time. It sounds like you'll need to meet your puppy with consistent training and patience. If it helps, you can remind yourself how old your puppy is to really put things into perspective. Just say out loud "You are such a ____ month old puppy!" The following video can go into more detail on the value of positive reinforcement training: ruclips.net/video/kqV4PQNJ8lI/видео.html
Oh no! She probably gets excited and is anticipating the toy coming out. We hope this video had some helpful tips. We have TONS of other biting videos on the channel if you need additional help!
We know this is going to be a new challenge for us is taking her outside every hr? On weekends To much during the day? I drive school bus and my hubby is a custodian I come home in between. For hr then I go to my lunch duty at the school... not home till 4pm
Yep, young puppies need to go out a LOT. And they also need companionship, food, enrichment and even some basic training. If you aren't able to be home to do these things you might need to find a friend or family member to help you until the puppy gets older and can go longer in between outings.

If we purchase the DIY and decide to go pro what is the cost to add PRO on to the DIY?
To add on the monthly membership for the PRO level it's $75/month.
Hi team, I tried the link to the biting mini course but it just takes me to the 30-day puppy perfection course. Is it not offered anymore?

@HowToTrainADreamDog We're doing better!
When all those things don’t work, can we use a water spray bottle and give him a squirt when he bites?
