How to lengthen pants/trousers?

This video shows how you can lengthen pants by adding fabric or interfacing. It's to fix a mistakenly short cut pants or if some extra length is needed. It's pretty straight forward. Are these homemade pants, because where ever would you find fabric to match the pants?

No they are not. It was cut without seam allowance, to fix it I have to lengthen it. I used the same fabric that was cut.
