Thank you. I’ve been sewing 🧵 more years than I like to admit. What is wonderful is you can always learn something new. I’m going to be buying some new feet. I don’t know why I didn’t know about some of them. Thanks to you I know now
Thank you, another very informative tutorial. I love learning how to get the most from my sewing machine & overlocker along with all the gadgets etc. Cheers
Great video just bought my Husqvarna Sapphire so particularly interested in seeing the feet working on yours. Loved the first one and the quarter inch. Going on my free course with my machine next week so will review feet thanks. Great timing for me. My last machine was Husqvarna also love these machines
It's a pleasure, you can find all the feet on our website nice and easily once you know which ones you would like and we can also offer any help or support you might need choosing too.
Thanks - always something new for me at 79 years to learn! It would have been useful to recreate the foot type after the information - for me. Thankyou!
Thank you for this presentation. Unfortunately for me, when using the seam guide with the incremental markings I find it difficult to maintain alignment with the guidemarks during a lengthy seaming. I therefore prefer the seam guide with adjustable hinge so that there is a containment against which the fabric can be butted or one that is magnetic and elevated so that it can be set at the different markings on the presser foot plate and the fabric can ride up against it. Barbara
Great video- I have used most of those feet myself, the only exception is the quarter inch foot. I would love to see a video about which size or type of needle to use for different fabrics and especially information on needles for an overlocker..
The sewing machine,my parents bought me 47 years ago had a button sewing foot.I used it for coats through to crepe de chine with no problems .i ve now bought one for my new machine and,as you said, they make work so much easier. Also if you sew a button in the wrong place there's no effort in removing it and sewing it again..My next purchase will be the walking foot,It's £50 for my machine ,so I'm counting my pennies.I loved this vlog.Would you beable to show how you use a buttonhole foot ,also how you use it if the button is too big or small to go in the button compartment.thanks
Thank you for all your videos, the foot one very informative. Could you please do a video on button hole foot as I’ve never been able to do a perfect button hole although my sewing machine is quite basic and 15 years old. I avoid any garments that involve buttons 😩thanks
Would be interested in how you pin or weigh down different fabrics to mark and cut them out; and your reasons for your choices. Weights or pins? Scissors or rotary cutter? Across the board or different depending on the fabric / project? :-)
The quarter inch foot has a single needle hole and not the zigzag opening which is wide. There is more control. Before sewing machines had zigzag foots, all mechanical sewing machines were single needle hole and sewing was in some ways easier.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm getting ready to make a dress with buttons down the front and didn't realize I could get a button foot (have one for making the button holes). I need to check into that. Thanks again!!
Could you please show the cording foot... and a rolled hem foot. I have them but am not sure how to use them. Thank you... I Love your tutorials... they are so useful.
Hi loved your video on the feet. Please could you give the link for the see through ones as I went onto your website to purchase a couple but couldn't find them.
Thanx for sharing your knowledge ☺️🌷 U mentioned a Compatibility chart for presser feet on this video but I cannot locate it. I have an ELNA Diva (type 900) which I’m told is comparable to the ELNA 9000 computerized machine. I have been advised to try the janome mechanical HD 1000 presser feet for my ELNA diva. Please advise. 👌
Coudl you please talk about presser feet labels for different machines? I have 1 Singer, 1 Brother and 1 Janome, and am so confused with the feet! and my Singer says to use foot "T" for some stitches and foot "A" for others (on the LCD display) and i only have Janome feet, can i use those? are the labels the same?
Great video. very informative. I have seen a video (once) showing a tracked foot (like tank tracks) for Janome machine. However, I have not been successful in finding this video again. Have you seen or heard of this type of foot.
I have a question, when you sewed the button and then took it away from the machine, all of a sudden the attached thread disappeared. I understand that the machine cuts the thread automatically but It disappeared from the top of the button leaving no trace like a magic trick. How does It work?
@@suegeese6339 Thanks Sue! Yes, I meant fold over elastic. I sew a lot with elastic and I'm always looking for a better way to get the tension even/just right.
Hi. I would love one of the seam marker/guide foot for a Janome mc5900 but it will not let me onto your site for some reason? Do you do them for this machine and if so how can I buy one please? Many thanks Sandra.
I love the idea of the seam guide foot I struggle. Are they supplied for Janome 9 MM and also what happens on Jersey lightning stitch? In my machine that moves the needle position.
This is the closest thing I can find to a seam guide foot for the Janomes, it is designed more for top and edge stitching, but would effectively do the same job. The hole is wide enough to do some zig zag stitches, but it would be limited as to how wide. Also I can't find your machine on the compatibility chart, perhaps it is an old model in which case you would need to check which category it is - this foot is for category B/C. If you want to order anything and are struggling to confirm the category you can email us at sales@sewessential.co.uk and we will be happy to help and speak to Janome if necessary.
Thank you for sharing this video, it’s quite helpful. Please can you tell us what brand is the seam allowance gauge foot? I’m in the US and would really appreciate any help in locating where to purchase it here. Thanks again !
There might be some that do, although I think most come with imperial. If you have a look at the ones you are interested in the product description will tell you.
I’m curious. At one time I thought you mentioned using a Pfaff. Is the seam guide foot option available for Pfaff and do you use an actual walking foot on a Pfaff?
The Pfaff machines usually come with a built in walking foot known as their IDT system so no need to use a walking foot on the machines which have this feature. Here is a metal seam guide foot for Pfaff machines, although always remember to check the compatibility chart for your specific model because it might not fit all of them.
3min and finally shows the first foot. But Ive watched a video ad, and heard her do an advertisement. Most of beginnng info wd be much better given to those wanting ti purchase feet.

I’m pretty sure that I love you!!! Can’t wait to get home and play with my presser feet! Thank you so much
I am kinda new to sewing and I find this video very helpful even on a tutorial base. Thank you
Thank you for the detailed review of these feet. I sew a lot of small items so the 1/4 piecing foot will come in handy.
Thank you, another very informative tutorial. I love learning how to get the most from my sewing machine & overlocker along with all the gadgets etc. Cheers
Very inspiring. Learned a lot. Thank you.
Okay, so the 1/4 foot is really a 1/8 foot!!! That is great, I needed this info, thanks.

One of my favourites is the edge stitch foot. I love how easy it is to get great top stitching
Yes that one is a goody too.
Thanks for the useful information on the presser feet.

I'll add it to the list thanks for sharing.

Thanks I have all those feet. I have to start using my feet especial the first one The steam guide foot🧵
Thank you. Very informative. Didnt know you could get a button foot ☆
t is the best discovery ever, quite a lot of people say that and it really makes what can be quite a tedious job very enjoyable.
I just bought a button foot and I'm excited to try it. I love buttons, but avoid them.
I to would love to see a video on needles to use etc on a overlocker. I find it confusing. So many out there, please do it soon. Thank you.
thank you so much that was really helpful
Love this video! I didn’t know about 2 of the feet. Thanks!

May I ask what type and model of machine you use in this video please I love the sound of it. Thanks
Thank you for all the info. I’ve already ordered my walking foot from you, so just waiting for it to arrive.

Sho more foot what they doing. You explain very good
Thank you. Just learning here.

Excellent!😉
Can you recommend a good foot for sewing on elastic? regular flat elastic and also FOE?
Thanks for the great video!
Sorry if I'm being dim, what do you mean by FOE?
Sew Essential fold over elastic
@@suegeese6339 Thanks Sue! Yes, I meant fold over elastic. I sew a lot with elastic and I'm always looking for a better way to get the tension even/just right.
Great idea for. A video. Thanks
Thank you so much, don't be afraid to share if you have a great idea for one too and we can make it!

I’d like to know how to use edging foot ?
Please let us know whether these feet are compatible with Singer Sewing machines. Thank you.
Fab video - random question; do you have any of that fabric you’re wearing left in stock please?.
I’ve got to find a seam guide foot for my Juki. The marking on the plate for 5/8 is not very visible.
Thank you very useful
Best accessories for a model 1850 brother computerized sewing machine please.
Please share the make and model of your sewing machine, please. 😊
Would you happen to know if the seam marker foot will fit my Juki hzl- f600 ?
Thank you for sharing this video, it’s quite helpful. Please can you tell us what brand is the seam allowance gauge foot? I’m in the US and would really appreciate any help in locating where to purchase it here. Thanks again !
Loved this video. I’ve been sewing for many many years and didn’t know some of these feet existed. Can I ask what sewing machine you use?
Excellent ' thank you!
I use centimetres, does the foot come with metric markings as well?
There might be some that do, although I think most come with imperial. If you have a look at the ones you are interested in the product description will tell you.
Will these feet work on my silvercrest SNM 33 B1? The foot that sews a straight line would be useful.
Do you have a Janome seam guide foot that would fit a Sewist DC 780?
starts @ 2:30
Which foot is this?
