Well, she named soft cheeses - they are high fodmap. Sparkling water (flavored or not) causes digestive problems. "Sweeteners - obvious. Farmed seafood - obvious. seasoning - obvious. Iced drinks obvious.

I'm a former vegetarian for 25 years. I at a point went back to meat, then back to being a vegetarian. I have tried various diets throughout my life to keep my weight down. I had a decent transformation with being a vegetarian, but unfortunately, it no longer serves me. I became very weak and gained weight. My weight sky rocked after turning 50 years young. I knew I had to make a serious change, and I finally looked up a diet called the blood type diet. This Blood Type Diet led me to Carnivore way of eating. I realized that all my inflammation and foggy, tired all the time, had everything to do with the fuel I was ingesting. I decided to test the Carnivore Diet even though I was so big on being vegetarianism. This video explained so much of all I had been dealing with as I've made the change. This is an excellent source of information, and you express it all so clearly. I feel much better about my Steak and Butter Life. A lot of what you shared was a confirmation to feelings about all those detsiles from the pepper, salt, cold water, etc. Your videos are so appreciated, Thank you.
May I ask what’s your blood type? I’ve been on vegan diet and other diets but girl this blood type diet I feel a lot better because I’m B and I love steak and butter
I'm also curious about eating for blood type because my blood type "supposedly" does fine on vegetarian diet and i do feel better when I include some plant protein 🤔 (good quality organic)
Blood type diet saved my life and explained exactly why I was struggling with everything I ate and was always ill and obese ( having never been an overeater!). Books by Dr.Peter J. D'Amato; Eat Right for your Type and Live Right for Your Type. O- we are mainly only able to eat mostly carnivore. Down over 100lbs having eliminated Wheat, corn, ( pasta, bread, sugar).
When I first moved out of the house, I was so poor I couldn't buy any kind of seasonings, this included ranch dressing, salt, pepper, mustard, anything. I tried an experiment and I thought. What if I just tasted the taste of the food. Rather than adding anything like that in. I found I loved the flavor of food just by itself. Everything tasted different when I would eat anything friends or family made. I wouldn't flavor my eggs, bacon, or any other meat that I cooked. I did this for about a year and found I felt better. All the flavors of "added seasoning" were already in the food I was eating even though the food wasn't seasoned. I could pull out so many different flavors of the meat itself. I even cooked that way so much that when I cooked for my dad one night, I put a few lemon slices over the fish and cooked it in the pan together with nothing else. He said that was the best fish he ever had and asked how I cooked it. He was shocked when I told him there was only lemon on it. He talked about it for years. I realized that I didn't want any condiments and spices at all, then of course as I grew my bank account, I added all that stuff back into my diet including oatmeal and such. But my teeth have always been bad just like my health. Most of my teeth having fillings and have chipped over the years consistently since I was about 17 years old. And they have found skulls that have perfect teeth. Most of the tribes in Africa have perfect teeth and only eat the animals in the plains and such that their warriors can catch. It just makes me wonder how much our life has been fabricated to make us sick.
Good point about skulls! I'm mostly Polynesian and archeology has shown that my ancestors had strong, excellent teeth, and a healthy weight and bone structure. But ever since sugar cane began being processed, Polynesian health has gotten worse and worse -- dental cavities, obesity, diabetes, etc. I used to be obese myself. Processed foods, especially sugars, are poison for people's health. 😢
Thank you for all your videos. I started carnivore about 3 weeks ago and have used your videos a lot. They are very helpful. Lost 12 lbs so far. I have been handicapped for the last 10 years. So exercise is out of the question. But feeling much better already. I started at 369 lbs , I’ll let you know in a few months where I’m at. I’m finding that anything other than beef tends to leaving me craving other foods. So I’m torn whether to go beef and butter exclusively or keeping the extra meats and cheeses . Not there yet. Blood sugar has dropped 70 points. Happy. Keep up the awesome work.
My nose has been clogged for 20 years, 10 days carnivore nose is final clear. Same issue with eczema and cleared up too. Hopefully I can be a carnivore for life
Sounds like an allergy or autoimmune. It makes sense when you think about things we eat can contain allergen's and histamines. By cutting out the ones you are eating it lowers your general allergy response allowing your body to better relax and not sweat over the ones you might be breathing in. Moving or going on vacation in another country could greatly affect this response I am wondering if you have had such an experience.
@@jlozano2615it's not the Asian thing only. For example, US is the only country where beer is being consumed ice cold. Americans are obsessed with drinking their cold drinks loaded in ice. No judgement from me, I don't care how other people eat or drink. But to say that it's only Asian thing is not correct
Growing up in Germany, we never even had ice cubes. My mom said that it is unhealthy for your stomach to drink cold beverages and it could even lead to a sore throat. Tea was always warm and mineral water sat on the counter for us to drink at room temperature.
Bella, I am 3 years in on Carnivore and I've been watching you since I started. I've been walking a few steps behind you the whole way and agree with everything on this list! Thank you for everything! 💖
I can see this diet and necessary adjustments work very well for you, so this is very encouraging to share with others. Congratulations on your successful channel and many thanks for the 1000’s of lives you’re helping and probably saving! Awesome! 👏
Hi Bella - you taught me to start my healthy lifestyle, and this is where it stands: grass-fed and grass-grazed beef, animal farm eggs direct from the farm knowing the Farmer & homemade ghee. Keep it minimal. Include again only farm direct greens from a farmer you know. This is the best way for me ....I also suggest seasonal fruits like strawberries (spring) & blueberries (summer) you visit the farm direct and pick yourself. Be careful of grocery stores. Yoga and exercise are essential to maintain discipline. Good luck!
I started off eating only steak and tallow. At first I felt great, but after month 3, I felt like I had too much energy… wired, edgy, and kind of aggressive honestly! I now drink about 2 cups of raw milk and 2 cups of kefir a day and feel MUCH better, calm and nourished.
@@dmmcmah1 still, it is what's best for her. The best thing is to react to what you experience in your own skin, rather than blindly follow what some others dictate is correct. That's the main fallacy of veganism in my opinion. That you have to adhere to external rules and values. Body knows best, once addiction has cleared up.
@@ruthanna4713 Not dictating anything - I said "too many carbs for lots of people" - I didn't say ALL people. I am not a dietary militant and eat some vegetables and even occasionally things like fried chicken although I am "ketovore" most of the time.
And that may change. Just keep listen ing to your body. We all have different maladies and issues in our bodies to heal. Best wishes to you! Keep doing what you’re doing as long as it works!!❤
I started more carnivore today. This morning I had a 12 oz rib eye steak along with avocado and coffee with hwc. Colleagues at work were shocked that I ate steak for breakfast because they say steak is dinner meal, not breakfast. They then told me I need to eat sausage biscuits instead. I told them - not for this diabetic.
I drink iced water but only in summer. Our summers are insanely hot and humid and iced water really goes down well and adds to easing the discomfort from the weather.
Awesome video...unfortunately, I have priced ALL the Carnivore products marketed by you and others like Sitka Seafood $350 for a box, meat chips are $40 for a bag for munchies or these ready made meals... as a pensioner on a budget, pushing these product sponsors just turns me off... Carnivore clean eating tips and your 11 meals every week is a stellar help! Thank you .
I have to thank you. I started about 2 weeks ago and already lost 11 kg. You were the person who convinced me to try. I'm ill, and academic medicine can't help me. Some crap is "eating me," and my doctors don't know what's going on, me either. So that was the motor to try it out. Right now I eat only beef and butter. I was skeptical at first, but after 3rd day, I feel I was like a hangover and run by a train. I'm a IT guy so i was rly hard to convince me without eevidance, but you did it! THAAAAANK YOU! Greetings from Poland!!!
Carnivore is great! Now look into parasite cleansing. It's a shock, at first, that we have parasites--but they are responsible for most of our health issues and, especially, food intolerances. I think parasite cleansing while on carnivore could completely restore your health.
I have begun watching your content and am becoming very interested because you are quite literally GLOWING with health. The way you look really speaks for itself on what you speak on.
You rock Been carnivore since 7/17/23. Down 28 pounds, at 8% body fat, lowered BP to 117/70 from 130/85, improved energy levels, and greatly reduced inflammatory conditions. NEVER GOING BACK Thanks for the motivation
Everyone who craves something milky / refreshing should try homemade kefir. Thats the only milk based drink i drink daily in my carnivore diet, after only eating meat for the first 2 months to adjust better. For me it just hits this spot of being sooo refreshing and sour, that it helps against possible cravings a ton.
I love raw milk. We get some from a local farm. I crave it and just can't imagine being without it now. I had kefir for over a year and would make my own but the strong taste was rough to swallow. I could only use it in my banana raw cacao nice crea..
I love braunschweiger. You are not eating lamb. You are having old mutton. I raise Shetland sheep. They are not gamey. The meat is very delicate and subtle. They are harvested off organic pasture raised and at a young age. Love your channel. I am about 3 weeks into carnivore. Been doing keto some prior. 76 years old. Will be interesting to see how I do. Love the help you give to us
For some Lamb and Venison are acquired tastes. But I agree with you. Personally I like old mutton. It’s not as bland as beef. 3 mo the in, how is your carnivore journey coming along?
i love you and your content so much!!! i am a former vegan, i felt that comment where you said you have an addictive personality. i am struggling through sugar withdrawals and i felt that comment so much! its hard to imagine life without any sweeteners again like stevia even.but i think you def bring up valid points
Use a really good organic stevia or some alilos. At first you'll likely find within a few months that your taste for it goes away or you can do without it without a struggle.
Many year ago my dad got me drinking things at room temperature. I also cut salt out almost completely, over 20 years ago but i had been having horrible cramping for many years undiagnosed. Well when i started the carnivore this summer i realized it's probably all been from the lack of sodium. So I've added it back in and voila no more cramping.
About 7 wks in on carnivore and don’t do well with cheese/dairy. I haven’t tried raw dairy. May give them a try once I’m further down the magical meaty road. RA symptoms have diminished so much I’m off all RA meds! This is a miracle to me! I was suffering greatly while on these meds, none worked and they made me feel awful. I feel wonderful now and will never go back to the SAD diet!
@@abudhabiwitch5144 Good luck and be careful of fiber. It feeds strains of P.Copri that are highly prevalent in people with RA, and strongly correlated with RA.
Thanks for all this great information! I'm just beginning carnivore. Made it about 6 days last week, keep getting off. Need to get comfortable staying with it so I can heal all my health issues. Thanks for the helpful videos.
You definitely are benefiting from your diet, because your skin looks extremely healthy. I understand you use a skin care regimen from having watched previous videos. Still though, there's only so much skin care products can do. This is why I share your channel with anyone I believe would benefit from the information you share. Thank you for your efforts in sharing. It's great that you are also sharing the information on drinking liquids at room temperature or warmer because I learned years ago from a friend that when you ingest cold, iced liquids; your stomach has to work to warm those liquids up in order to use them. I still drink cooled liquids, but not often.
She is the only youtuber that wear makeup on videos. Bcause she dont like the simplicity of carnivore diet: BEEF SALT WATER. Maybe after confusion none of people will buy her awesome carnivore support blah-blah talk. Just stick to basic as we all do, and you WILL have awesome glowing skin.
I liked and subscribed the second you mentioned oxalate and inflammation. This tells me your journey and experience are nuanced. I am not quite carnivore, as I have only a month ago given up processed foods, junk, most carbs and refined sugars (of course, being of Chinese descent, we are programmed to eat white rice) but I am simplifying and eliminating even whole foods as I go along- especially high oxalate 'superfoods'. I am on a quest for health and minimalization of inflammation through diet and will lean on the knowledge of people like you to help me navigate through the treacherous waters of the standard North American diet.
Oh Bella.... I've been 9 months into this carnivore diet and I took away cow cheese and eating only goat and sheep... My rosacea and stomach doesn't go well with cow cheese... Butter I take a bit while cooking. I experiences with some fruits. Tried some apples and my whole stomach HURT so bad... I ate some pancakes.. I think I ate 4 times in 9 months, while out with friends. One thing I noticed is honey. I react very good to it... But need to be careful how much I indulge in it. I hope one day I'll be able to let go. My family and friends thinks I'm crazy but I do have some people who gets it... Because they see the result on me. Stay safe and hope you're dad is better. Thank you again for the content you do. Sugar addiction is real... It's so hard to fight that urge of wanting to feast on that stuff...
I used to eat several apples a day before going mostly carnivore. I loved the laxative effect but after being mostly carnivore for a few months, I seem to have an allergy to them. It sucks because I need that bowel movement everyday otherwise I feel constipated. I can still eat and do eat blueberries everyday but it doesn’t do the same for bowel movement.
@@lilolmecj interesting. Cooking apples could neutralize whatever I am allergic to. I break out to sugar so it may be the sugar in it. I may try to cook it to see if it’s the sugar or the apple. Apples are low in oxalate and anti nutrients. But I am getting better at not having bowel movements everyday so may not need to eat any apples.
Why do some people think they have to correct others publicly? REALLY who cares other than you? NO ONE. We are here for Carnivore life style not for Grammer and punctuation!

This is one of your greatest videos so far!! Thanks. This is going in my favorites to send to my friends starting on carnivore. You covered so many important points and they were all true!! Loved it!
70 y/o here. I started carnivore 1 week ago today. I am a new person, and I am not consuming anything on your list. I have had sinus/nasal congestion for years and years. Guess what...without pepper that is gone!! Totally gone. I feel like a new person.
I have been on the lion diet for almost 30 days eating omad. I was already keto for 4 years and it was no longer working for me. I didn't think I would have keto flu but the first 4 days were awful, had so much congestion and was coughing so much from long covid.I had long covid for 2 years and thought carnivore would help, I tried everything else. After the first 4 days my keto flu went away and I can breath through my nose for the first time in my life (I'm 70).Some of my other symptoms are getting better. I hope this eventually heals me so I can breath again and my heart palpitations stop. Love your videos.
I have fallen off the carnivore diet temporarily, the holidays were too tempting. Plan to start again right after Christmas. My breathing is still better but I'm somewhat congested, regained 20 lbs already. I started taking glycine and have not had any leg cramps at all which is unheard of for me.
Being from Spain, we never used ice. This ‘habit’ has moved down to my son and he too only drinks water at room temperature. He doesn’t really drink other daily beverages.
1. Thanks, Bella! 🙏 2. When is your next performance in the Seattle area? 3. I’m in Mount Vernon. 4. Carnivore 2 months now! 🥩♥️ 5. Butter, Eggs, Beef Tallow, Ribeye, Salt. 🧈🥚🐄🧂 6. Room-temperature Seltzer (2 liters per day) 7. I love A2 yogurt, but I can’t eat cheese. (GERD)
I DON'T like liver (so far...); I LOVE hearts; I haven't tried kidneys...BUT: for me, they've got to be COOKED. I'll have to see about kidneys, AND COD liver, which I've not tried yet ...the liver I tried was beef, chicken and lamb liver. You are not afraid to experiment, Ms Steak and butter gal. I appreciate your fearlessness - it sets a great example. Stay awesome !
40 years carnivore but I eat cheese and yogurt daily. The cheese I buy in the store but I ferment the yogurt myself. I am not sure what brain fog and bloating is though. I took care of my parents for almost 10 years so stress eating is familiar to me. I could put away 8 ounces of cheddar/gouda cheese and 4 pounds of beef daily. Wild seafood is accessible here either from fishermen or you catch your own. Iguana is a great wild caught food as well. I drink iced water all of the time. Never coffee or even carbonated water. Eating raw liver was something I did and I still eat it at times. Lean meats are awful and I prefer fresh killed to aged.
I'm really surprised about the cold water. I drank room temperature water for decades before going Carnivore 21 months ago. Suddenly I craved cold water. It has to be cold! When I say cold I mean freezing. The more ice the better. And the same thing happened to my wife. I'm just going to keep listening to my body but you gave me something to think about.
Great video!! Thank you, I hit day 30 yesturday and am loving it. I’m loving not limiting and restricting myself, I am the happiest I’ve ever been when it comes to food. Food and I now have a very healthy relationship ❤
Yeah the second part with the farmed fish got me, here we have a lot of farmed salmon, the thing is that the fish is fed with fish from the Baltic Sea, the most polluted sea in Europe. Hence even fish sellers at times warn you about eating to much of it and tell you not to consume it as a child or during pregnancy..
Day 7 on carnivore just got over the keto flu that was BRUTAL! 😂 but now I’m feeling so energized I noticed my body has become more sensitive to caffeine , maybe because my body is already become very energetic 😳 and Bella about the cold water I THOUGHT I WAS CRAZY! It seems that room temp water my body absorbs a lot faster and I feel more hydrated
I got that too. I had it for the first 3 weeks I was on the diet and I got so sick I finally had to quit. I lost weight but oddly enough I was in pain from head to toe. Every joint in my body caused agonizing pain to the point that I would break down sobbing and then my ankles swelled up so much, they were huge plus I head an unrelenting headache that never went away the entire time! That was a year ago and now I want to start back but I keep thinking of quality of life. Will a life without one piece of bread, one piece of cake or pasta be worth all the benefits? My answer is still no, I just can’t do it. Parties and gatherings or dinners with friends or family would feel so hollow or like a dull drudgery that yielded no pleasure knowing bread or dessert is off the table forever. As I mentioned earlier, I had that flu you talked about and after collapsing at my friends home I’m still terrified to try it again because I don’t ever want to feel that sick, weak and in pain again. I have so much respect and admiration for those who have mastered this lifestyle and have the strength to sacrifice so much pleasure. It takes INDOMITABLE will power. I genuinely envy those who are able to give up all carbs.
@@benicio1967 It's not just will power, but method. You can gradually reduce your carbs. Cold turkey is great if you have the will and know what you're doing. 3 Weeks of inflammation means you were consuming something that you were anergic to (most store bought animal products are grain fed) as well as poor salt/electrolyte/potassium intake. Go slow until you pass go.
very interesting about the iced/chilled beverages My husband drinks his water at room temperature because he says he enjoys it more when it’s not from the fridge.
@@judymurray191I can’t stand room temperature water. It makes me want to gag and I don’t drink as much as I should. I drink hot tea but I also drink iced tea and cold water. Especially when you live in a place that the temps get up to 100+ in the summer.
I’ve just started. I’ve always loved my meat but can’t eat it dry. A juicy steak is good but ground meat must have lots of juice so I start it frying then add water. I raise all my own meat so I can lots to preserve it as well as freezing it. I have dairy goats too so no shortage of home made yogurt or fresh milk. I’ve had lots of digestive problems recently which prompted me to go carnivore. So far no problems and I’m feeling lots better. I also save and freeze colostrum and add a little to my yogurt this helps with the immune system and enzymes. I’m 70 and have a few lbs I want to drop just 5-10. I do use honey in my tea, not because I crave the sweetness but because I just can’t stand it without a little honey. My friend is a bee keeper so it’s raw and high quality honey. I make a pot with just one tea bag so it’s not strong.
It’s understandable that you wouldn’t like “game” meat . I grew up on wild meat of all kinds and I love it!! I have a challenge getting what I grew up now though- thanks for all you do-you’re so inspiring!!
Still gaining weight, but I'm okay with it because of your story! At work we celebrated a safety milestone, so they provided a steak and eggs breakfast! The ribeye was delicious, but I ended up having a reaction to the seasoning. You live and you learn, you win some and you loose some!
That’s what I’ve noticed eating restaurant prepared steaks (likely tenderizing ingredients), also ‘pre-seasoned’ steaks from grocer to take home & cook.
5 years into keto + carnivore now, and have to agree about the cheese. They are basically almost perfect for keto, but pasteurization is something to consider carefully.

Just started 2 days in. The headaches suck and I learned from watching you today that cooking my eggs in the butter and bacon fat is what is making me nauseous and to slow down and eat it cold. Thank you for that!
Thanks for this! I just started carnivore this week and it’s going great so far. I’m finding omad is sufficient for me right now. I was just laid off work last week, so now I can concentrate on getting my health on track and pursuing my hobbies 🙂 I can’t eat organ meats, no matter how much bacon and gravy you put in it, just tastes too rich
Amber O’Hearn has gotten very ill, and still dealing with this I believe, from eating raw hamburger. Even freshly ground beef. I’m all about steak tartare, carpaccio, rare steaks. Thanks for this interesting video!
A while back I saw a video (don't remember whose) saying that having cravings to eat when you're not hungry is a sign you didn't eat enough protein at your last meal. Eat more protein at your meals and you will no longer have these cravings. My boyfriend used to sit down with a bag of chips immediately after dinner. That stopped after I eliminated starches from dinner and increased his portions of meat.
So here is something really annoying. I did about a year of Carnivore from late 2021 - late 2022 and I found it amazing. I lost the weight I medically needed to lose, 85lbs in total, my snoring went away, no longer pre-diabetic and all the other usual benefits of the diet. Of course 2023 rolled around and things went to hell for me and I came off the diet. Weight went back up, almost 50lbs now, and snoring is back also. I decided a few weeks ago to go back on carnivore because things have calmed down but this time I decided to do much more research and be more specific and hopefully more successful in staying on it. The one thing I had noticed the first time was my lack of snack options. I work in retail and we only get very short breaks so eating a full meal is almost never an option. I of course ended up on the cold meats every time. It worked but boy was it boring and hard. I searched and searched for suitable snacks and found nothing. The annoying part I mentioned is that I live in Ireland! Now this is a country with some of the best beef and ham on earth, so much so that we export the stuff everywhere. All beef here is grass fed and 100% natural, no factory crap. We also have some of the best wild salmon outside of Canada, though I dont really like fish anyway. So my annoyance is that in a country with such an amazing beef industry I cannot find a single carnivore suitable snack. It makes zero sense at all. we dont even make Jerky here although I wont complain because that stuff is disgusting. Anyway I will persevere and come Jan1st I will be back at it ( Xmas is NOT a good time to start a diet 🤣), So yeah, thats my rant.
@@IsakTougaard9 Thanks for the input, honestly, but Im actually after some sort of snacks so I can avoid cold meats during my lunch breaks. I went back on the diet on monday just as planned and I know the diet works for me due to previous success, its just boring. Anyway, to avoid the cold meats, which do have sugars in them, I have decided to simply use an air fryer and make batches of diced up steak and port bits. They are bite sized pieces which I can just put into a sealed container/bag and bring with me. I made my first batch today and whilst they will be cold when I eat them in work tomorrow I dont mind because they are better than the cold sandwich meats. Again, thanks for the recommendations there. I knew about pemmican but not about the ketones so that was useful to learn about, gives me some homework to do tonight 😁
@@ASavageEye Ketone esters is where its at if you do want them. They knock hunger out like nobodys business. When you mention airfryer, I came to think of recipes I have seen for airfried beef fat. Looks like it can be both crispy and soft if sliced thinly enough. Beats the hell out of tough jerky :D
@@IsakTougaard9 Yeah the fat on the edge of the beef pieces is pretty crispy, its a strange sensation with the softer beef but as far as snacks go its pretty nice. Jerky is disgusting and that is not even up for debate. Now however I am thinking I could cut beef into long thin slices, like rashers, and see what the airfryer does to them....could be interesting.
@@ASavageEye I agree, just say no to beef jerky. Chaffee has a short video where he turns thinly sliced ribeye into crisps in a dehydrator. Think Baker has one too, he called it "carnivore crack" tho 😆 Might work in airfryer too?
About lean meats, They are actually great !!! I slice them thin like in carpaccio, or to small cubes like tartare, mount them on a nice cubes of proportionally sized Fat (Like suet), and eat those raw. As raw slices they are less tough, and has a great flavor.
As a newbie Carnivore, (8 days now) Coming from the dirty Keto side, I'm not doing Carnivore for weight loss. I'm addressing my psoriasis which is controlled but not entirely eradicated. I still have a bit of stevia in my bulletproof coffee with zero cravings for carbs. I'm in the BBBE(Beef, butter, bacon and egg) 30 -90 phase. Big fan of Dr Ken Berry. All the other hacks in this video I do right now. I also lean on sparkling water (not the warm water) I'm gonna try warm for the digestion now. Thank you for that one reminder! Have you tried the Selina Naturally Celtic Sean Salt (potassium pink Cave salt)? Very tasty! I use that in lieu of Redmonds. 1/4 tsp has 400mg sodium, 239 mg potassium.
Stevia is not an artificial sweetener. Splenda (sucralose) is. Aspartame is. Saccharine is. Lots of artificial sweeteners out there. Stevia is natural. Some of the stevia providers put it through an extra process to try to eliminate the aftertaste, but at its core stevia is just a sweet leaf that has no calories.
I'm only Two weeks into Carnivore, but man I gotta have my Polly'o Sting cheese. that and trying to tell my Italian family that I'm not eating pasta and Pizza was hard enough. But hat two weeks in and I've lost 4 pounds already. WOW !!!!!!
When I first started on the phd I was adding unbelievable amounts of salt to my food and now, 4-5 months in I hardly ever add any salt. I didn't even realize that I had stopped until I heard you mention it. But, that's the beauty of the phd, you listen to your body. Obviously it needed that salt before but now that need has passed and I don't even think about it.
THANKS--- you're stating a LOT of what I found out recenlty.... I've been doing it for over a year-- with NO gains almost nothing changing-- but last 2 months PURE- and it's finally working.. so these things are GREAT for me too--- and I agree-- I was feeling the same as you on "normal" versions of the things you mentioned..
All the organs! They vibe with me and give me an extra energy boost and clarity throughout the day. I also do it for ethical reasons and fully believe in eating head to tail and not waste anything. Plus I LOVE pan seared rare beef liver and crispy sauteed chickeb hearts!!!
stevia is a plant, you're right. the powdered crap at the stores has been processed so much that it's useless and as good for you as most synthetic sweeteners are.
Another great video. The salt and the black pepper was a surprise. I did not know both could be inflammatory. I put huge amounts of both in my food. The iced drinks thing I learned about from a friend who is from India. He eats his meals mostly without drinking anything while eating. He also said, the power of a warm beverage, even warm water, cannot be ignored. He uses a warm water drink when he gets up, to help his body heal and feel better. I will have to dial back the ice, if I want my insides to stay healed. The pasteurized cheese thing is also a surprise. It explains to me why I have some really bad reactions to certain grocery store cheeses. I will have to go buy raw cheese from better stores. The cold cuts and processed meats thing I have felt personally. I used to get really sore when eating a pizza with certain types of pepperoni on it. I have to be very careful what I buy like this. The before and after pictures of your healed skin on your face are incredible. A real inspiration to the millions of people dealing with skin issues. You have provided more great information. Thank you for your video and keep up the great work.
Wow, very surprised about the salt aspect. I'll have to keep that in mind. Also didn't know cold drinks could have a negative effect. Very good info here, thanks!
I had a question about electrolytes but then you covered it. My problem was that I was drinking lots of water but still felt like I was somewhat dehydrated. Then I started throwing a pinch of salt in my waters and it helped a lot. Actually I do have questions. 1. How many eggs a day do you eat on average? 2. Is your butter salted? 3. Do you do anything with with what's left in the pan after you cook meat? 4. Are you a fan of bone broth?
@@cradohaps-bb5ndout of curiosity, how to do you define electrolytes? Because googling the definition of them, it says "electrolytes are basically salts" so.... what's your version of info?
I was told by an elderly aunt to make sure I went overboard trimming the fat off the leg of lamb. Many meats get a robust flavor from the fat, but I tried her advice and she was absolutely right. Yes, when we need the fat, that kind of changed my take on eating the lamb. So, if I eat lamb, I make sure to make up for the reduced fat in another way.
Great video Bella! I find that eating liver at least weekly is highly beneficial to my body. Otherwise, I am always eating ground beef or Rib Eyes with eggs.
I actually like the taste of liver, which surprised me. I soak it overnight in broth and cook it in butter. I could never eat it raw. It's gross before cooking it.
@@teresamarrero2461 I buy the rotisserie chickens at Sams and use a crock pot to make broth with the bones and left over meat. It's not 100% good because of the seasonals and God only knows what else they put in and on the chickens, but it works and for cheap $5. I cut up the meat and usually use it in my scrambled eggs. I get a lot for the $5.
2 things i stopped doing that was VERY helpful in the beginning.. 1: BACON.....i have zero desire for it anymore 2: Cheese...i used to be intolerant ( made me excessively sleepy ).... can handle it now, just don't want it Beef is best. Period. Lamb is ok...also chicken thighs...just ok.
I was a cheese addict, I've experienced the symptoms you've mentioned eating pasteurized cheese. All of it went away since I've started carnivore diet. I've been trimming down and mental focus, energy is simply amazing. Also, one ingredient was still leaving me a bit lethargic and I soon realized it must be the salt. I've since minimized it and whatddaya know...thank you for this info...simply awesome 👌
I was with you on a lot until you said the best way to eat organ meat is raw. To my knowledge, all nutrients in meat are more bioavailable when cooked at least to a minimal to degree (same goes for eggs). I also don’t play with the potential for food poisoning. That being said, my mother used to make an organ meat and vegetable soup when I was a child for when anyone in the house was sick. I believe it had liver and hearts. She called it protein soup. I don’t know all the ingredients it had but that soup was a cure-all in a bowl.
Love your info! Just a sidebar, it's better for hubby to be to take his meals out of the plastic containers and heat them on a regular dinner plate (non plastic). You two a so adorable.
I really love your videos, and I am so proud of you for being so self aware and committed to taking care of yourself. I realize that I have several of the same issues that you have, however, I also see several differences. I really just wanted to say, "YOU GO GIRL!"
Thanks for doing these. I think I have a sensitive system like you. Overeating dairy is what I am pretty sure flared up some sinus issues for me and I’m looking into too much salt being the cause of some queeziness I’ve had lately. Appreciate you keeping it real with your experience!
i feel the same with certain herbs and spices too. but i do use spicy food as a tool when i am congested from a cold or cold weather. the spicy foods helps unclog my sinuses. And when you do carnivore for long enough, you just crave plain meat with fat, no salt, spices, condiments etc.
Hi Bella, you are amazing, beautiful and intelligent, talking about a serious topic, you don’t have to showing your shoulders, because it’s not right situations. Thanks.
Hi SBG - I really appreciate this video. Organ meats or aged (or any) lamb I can't swallow. Even though I'm only on day 6 and have been consuming dairy and cheese, I completely agree with your list and react the same to the pasteurized dairy so I appreciate the cheese suggestion. Day 5 was brutal, I felt like I had a bad hangover and got run over by something. Farmed seafood ("Frankenfood") is good for nobody. What I am consuming is a far cry from the sugar and carbs which became my "vice" foods. I do make my own almond milk using a little stevia and also chicken or turkey thigh (bone-in) soup for me and the cat which is the best source of collagen, I feel, instead of buying a supplement. Thank you so much ❤
Organs? i thought you played the violin wakawaka. Honestly. thank you for sharing i have just started cold turkey for 2 months now and your video saying dont do it that way. well 2 months late for me to find you channel but the tips you give on that video helped me realize the changes my body was going thru wasn’t just me. thank you so much for this channel.
I love FLAVOURED sparkling water - BUT I never drink it alone, as it is "too gassy" . I put it in my water bottle and then dilute it with water. Works for me. I have always preferred drinking water and other liquids at, room temp, or warm. I love hot soup!
I love the info, documented results, and explanations. I'm considering trying carnivore to lose my visceral fat. But for afterward, I'm struggling with trying to reconcile this with the way people eat in the Blue Zones. It's said they eat about 10% less meat than average Americans, and they eat whole grains, tubers, plants and beans. SB-Gal, I'd be interested in your thoughts about that? TIA
You may wish to look up video with Nutritionist Mary Ruddick.. she traveled and LIVED in all blue zones.. and debunked the movie, book, etc.. they eat meat, organs, etc

#1 Pasteurized cheese
#2 Farmed Seafood
#3 Iced drinks
#4 Cold cut meat's
#5 Flavored Sparkling water
#6 Sweeteners
#7 Seasonings
#8 Salt
#9 Organs
#10 Lean meats

I've never heard of the blood type diet 😮
I'll go research it, thanks!
❤

I am not suggesting you eat apples, but I personally find my body likes them much better cooked than raw.
@@lilolmecj interesting. Cooking apples could neutralize whatever I am allergic to. I break out to sugar so it may be the sugar in it. I may try to cook it to see if it’s the sugar or the apple. Apples are low in oxalate and anti nutrients.

@@benicio1967need electrolytes, like LMNT.
Keto flu is bullshit. Don't do that. Balance. @@moocorp
On day 12 over here! Arthritis is finally away. You still going?
very interesting about the iced/chilled beverages
My husband drinks his water at room temperature because he says he enjoys it more when it’s not from the fridge.
Oh no…you crushed me with the “no iced drinks”! I am the opposite. I don’t enjoy water without it being ice cold if not iced.
Room temperature water only for me. My wife adds hot water to her room temp water. She’s Vietnamese. So, this must back up the Asian comment.
Same, room temperature water always
I'm the same way. My wife trying to give me ice all the time.
Day 2. I'm excited.😊
How’s the new lifestyle going?
Still gaining weight, but I'm okay with it because of your story! At work we celebrated a safety milestone, so they provided a steak and eggs breakfast! The ribeye was delicious, but I ended up having a reaction to the seasoning. You live and you learn, you win some and you loose some!
Try adding weight training. Build muscle while you eat!
Wow kinda shocked they had a carnivore meal at work. Go them!
Wow, not cakes and sweets, that’s great 😃
Time to quit
That’s what I’ve noticed eating restaurant prepared steaks (likely tenderizing ingredients), also ‘pre-seasoned’ steaks from grocer to take home & cook.
5 years into keto + carnivore now, and have to agree about the cheese.
They are basically almost perfect for keto, but pasteurization is something to consider carefully.

Just started 2 days in. The headaches suck and I learned from watching you today that cooking my eggs in the butter and bacon fat is what is making me nauseous and to slow down and eat it cold. Thank you for that!
So you’re drinking the eggs and eat raw pork ?😂
@@JohZs77 why??? If not going to be helpful then why bother with a smartass remark that does nothing.
Thanks for this! I just started carnivore this week and it’s going great so far. I’m finding omad is sufficient for me right now. I was just laid off work last week, so now I can concentrate on getting my health on track and pursuing my hobbies 🙂
I can’t eat organ meats, no matter how much bacon and gravy you put in it, just tastes too rich
I take the organ supplement. I can't abide the flavor of liver.
You'll be surprised if you stay on the carnivore diet after a few months. Try organ meats, and you'll be amazed how delicious they'll taste ..
How was your flu? I went thru 3 weeks
Amber O’Hearn has gotten very ill, and still dealing with this I believe, from eating raw hamburger. Even freshly ground beef. I’m all about steak tartare, carpaccio, rare steaks. Thanks for this interesting video!
Very informative, Bella. Thank you for all these points.
It’s really about the FAT which satiates the appetite
Thank you for your videos. I always go back to your videos when I need motivation to stay the course.
Thanks for the fluid temperature tip . I am amazed at how much it effected me by drinking cold fluids . Thanks for all you do !
Thanks to you I realized yogurt was causing my stuffiness. I breath so much better cutting it out.
Maybe pemmican or exogenous ketones would be useful for you.
Think Baker has one too, he called it "carnivore crack" tho 😆
Might work in airfryer too?
About lean meats, They are actually great !!!
I slice them thin like in carpaccio, or to small cubes like tartare, mount them on a nice cubes of proportionally sized Fat (Like suet), and eat those raw.
As raw slices they are less tough, and has a great flavor.
Adding the fat in that way is brilliant & sounds yummy as heck! Thanks for the idea : )
Nah, not doing that. What do you mean raw?🫢
Pls don't fund suicide bombers ....do some research
Haha I love your use of “fluffy” which is exactly how I describe how eating the tiniest bit of any grains makes me feel … I so know what you mean!
Gratitude Bella,God bless you,i love you
Love you back!
I'm happy to learn from your journey on carnivore. You break things down in a unique and exciting way. Thanks
Stevia is NOT an artificial sugar (also monk fruit). A lot of times the crap they mix with it is artificial, but alone they are not.
Sadly…The problem of the sweetness triggering an old sugar addiction is the problem with these.
@@Gtlr123 I'm a hard core sugar addict and never had that problem.
stevia is a plant, you're right. the powdered crap at the stores has been processed so much that it's useless and as good for you as most synthetic sweeteners are.
@@The_HealingSpace the stuff mixed with erythritol is crap for sure.

Great video Bella, thank you for the information. You look so healthy ❤
Thanks for asking these questions… Hope she answers them!
salt isnt electrolytes it is just sodium . why would drinking salt water make anyone feel better .
@@cradohaps-bb5nd
Salt is more than just sodium, it also provides minerals ( quantities depend on the source: celtic salt / Redmond salt etc)
@@cradohaps-bb5ndlove these questions, hope she answers!!
@@VgVi13, may I ask what type of broth do you soak it in?
@@teresamarrero2461 I buy the rotisserie chickens at Sams and use a crock pot to make broth with the bones and left over meat. It's not 100% good because of the seasonals and God only knows what else they put in and on the chickens, but it works and for cheap $5. I cut up the meat and usually use it in my scrambled eggs. I get a lot for the $5.
2 things i stopped doing that was VERY helpful in the beginning..
1: BACON.....i have zero desire for it anymore
2: Cheese...i used to be intolerant ( made me excessively sleepy ).... can handle it now, just don't want it
Beef is best.
Nah raw is better. Taste wise, for nutrients and for digestion
Love your info! Just a sidebar, it's better for hubby to be to take his meals out of the plastic containers and heat them on a regular dinner plate (non plastic). You two a so adorable.
Love my flavored water doesn’t have any sugar at all and I’m fine with it
I really love your videos, and I am so proud of you for being so self aware and committed to taking care of yourself.
Thanks.
I always slip up over the holidays. Hoping this year will be different
You can do it! Eat lots of buttah
I call it Sugar Season.
Its everywhere, all the time. I love it, but it doesn't love me ❤
Hi SBG - I really appreciate this video. Thank you so much ❤
Make sure the stevia you get is PURE STEVIA.
Started on my Carnivore journey today. Here's to getting to my better self!
For the cheeses, did you experiment with sheep and goat milk? They're healthier and have a far less inflammatory and bloating effect.
Organs? i thought you played the violin wakawaka. Honestly. thank you for sharing i have just started cold turkey for 2 months now and your video saying dont do it that way. well 2 months late for me to find you channel but the tips you give on that video helped me realize the changes my body was going thru wasn’t just me. thank you so much for this channel.
Loved this video. I’m 10 months carnivore, and am gradually eliminating the same foods as you stated.
Thank you soo much for this channel!!
