A nice even $1000 ($1400 with minimum) will look pretty nice on both the Citi and bank statements.

I got very disgusted with a job interview that strung me along for 6 months. I had an email interview (basically some "scenario" questions I had to answer, then three months later a phone interview, then three months later an in-person interview. When I didn't get the job, I emailed the person who did my phone interview and was on the in-person panel because we seemed to click very well and asked her the standard "what do you think I could improve on" question and she never got back with me. Like I understand they were busy at the time but they basically dragged their feet. Like you said, it was asinine to have such a drawn out process in a market that seems to keep whining about being understaffed. UGH. Anyway, sorry.... you reminded me of that time and I had to vent. CONGRATS CONGRATS on your continued progress!!! I hope the job situation holds on long enough for you to make more waves with your debt!

Thank you and I'm sorry you've had to deal with the bizarre job hunt process. It boggles my mind and I would hope if someone is looking for advice to improve and takes the time to actually ask (which a lot of people don't do - at least in my experience) that someone would take a brief 5 minutes to give an answer. Very frustrating.

Review your budget project list. Take out a piece(s) of paper or notebook and start a self brain storm of projects with no limits. Then begin a short list of projects that do not cost money, only labor, what you own, and what you can scrounge. BTW Home engineering whether with a spatula or hammer et al can raise your life style standard and save on actual cash flow on routinely purchased items.

You made it through the first pay period of May and the low $3,000's. I'll assume you will have made it through at least half of the second pay period of May. If you are able to make the $400 minimum from the second May pay period, you will be at least @1/3 through the $2000's on Citi and that is amazing! You two have done so, so well.

Getting rid of Citi is our #1 goal, and June is looking good for it so we're keeping our noses to the grindstone!

@@MistakesWereMade-MWM When cash income dollars are lean, we have come to learn that having as few monthly obligations (bills) as possible is a good thing. It can mean the difference between rice and beans versus some in season produce or honest to goodness meat at the grocery store, a cup of coffee away from the house even if it McDonald's, or having the gas money to drive to a free (if you don't buy anything) all day festival. Not necessarily every day or every week depending upon how lean you are but enough to have a much more enjoyable life style. Here's to the Citi balance being vanquished!

You are doing Great 🎉 and fingers crossed but by the end of june city debt Will go away! I really hope your job will last a few more months, and you can increase your savings and reduce your debt more😊. I know it’s dificcult, because i stress about everything also, but try to focus on the positive, even the small things. ❤

Absolutely! I'm typically a pretty positive person, I don't see the point in dwelling on the negative - I'd rather laugh than cry (though crying can be good!) so I try not to let things get to me too much!
