I think an Andorian Battlecruiser is about the last thing I expected to see in a custom Starcraft campaign.
The role of Alexei Stukov will now be played by Jeffrey Combs
you and me both mate!
@@ChristopherMB87 what role isn't played by Jeffrey Combs :D
The Andorian Mining Consortium came looking for Archerite. 😛
What's your angle here?
I didn't change Dehaka's voice in the original campaign because it was so well made, doubt AI could do any better.
It's a bit of disappointment because I plan to include Dehaka as Lady Vashj and thought that the AI is so good here.
Dehaka's voice is amazing. I agree with your decision.
@@farseer2043 I knew it! Primal Zerg as Naga confirmed
I’m a little surprised at the different shading of the primal Zerg. I didn’t know the map editor was capable of such a thing
It's not the map editor, it required heavier modding inside mpq files, as I suppose. That's why these missions have to be launched from a separate app.
You'll notice that there are also a couple of unique graphics as well, not sure where UED commander got those from, but they're pretty neat.
its amazing to see new abilities in units that dont have any before now (Carolina's Goliath)
its also amazing to see an actual new unit (DSS Aleksander)
Modders truly keep games alive
This custom Primal zergs, are so good it'd be like those Sub-Faction in CnC series
Amusing, executor. Your taste in alternative starcraft universe grows ever more impressive. 👍
Zerg brood names and unit names are lorewise named by Terran and only seldomly referred to by the Zerg themselves in the original campaign, but it’s interesting the Primal Zerg named their ship “Kraken” here- does it mean that the Primal Zerg studied the Earth culture?? Or is the legend of Kraken originated from a rogue Primal Zerg visited Earth?? So many mysteries…
Or it's bad writing.
@@VeryPeeved HERESY! How dare you say something so wrong? BOOOO
@@VeryPeeved Yeah, as fun as this campaign is and how interesting certain story beats being switched around can be in an experimental sense, there are plenty of jarring moments and this is one of them.
They didn't need to name the ship, and if it was a reference to the original dialogue referencing the "Aleksander" then they could've been done more cleverly than the Primals literally naming their ship something "monstrous".
@@AmericanZergling It's the curse of the Primal Zerg: anything they touch becomes poorly written. That's why Heart of the Swarm is widely regarded as the worst written Starcraft campaign.
By the way, Zurvan is Time from Persian mythology and the supreme god of Zurvanism, and Dahaka is a monstrous snake from the same mythology (also used in Prince of Persia: Warrior Within without spelling changes).
Misopportunity to not let Davis rant about collecting parts to give upgrades for her Goliath.
Those Primal Zerg look brutal. Fighting through them must have been difficult.
OMG, Davis is a Goliath instead of a Wraith? Unexpected.
Then Davis will instead walk slowly from the ground to the temple in the last mission.
But first, she must face her dreaded enemies... STAIRS!
So she is Alan Schezar post sex change surgery? This is Ace Ventura all over again!
@@survey9728 you could never guess who she is without modding. And especially who is Aleksander.
DSS Aleksander?! That's a badass ship mod with Vice Admiral Stukov in the helm.
That fact that Primal Zerg don't need creep and still have many aspects of the swarm zerg makes them more powerful. Thank you for video, Executor! You are quick and productive!
In the future of this timeline, Davis and Draliska will team up to defeat Dehaka who has been Protoss-ified after his "death" by one of the surviving executors. While on the ground, Draliska will be joined by a Human who was one of the original Nagglfar colonists, but who had to be put into cryo-stasis due to suffering from old age before life-extension tech had advanced far enough, after which he is put in a Terran battlesuit of choice.
Primal Zerg? here?! well commander...
I'll be seein' you!
*leaves*
That Dehaka feels threatening! You can recognize the original's style of speech even with a slightly different voice.
Amazing job!
We finally reached the stage where really custom campaigns can be made, I can hardly wait to learn how to do some of these tricks myself and start my own custom campaign ftw
Wow, I didn't think I would ever see so many modded units in SC1!
I remember a few years ago being amazed by a mod that added super-units to every faction; I often wondered how hard it was to do.
That Aleksander model is pretty awesome!
The Kraken???
Captain Jack(son) Sparrow: Well boys, we got ourselves another "last" voyage
Been silent for a while, just because I don’t know what to say, but just so you know Nral, still watching & supporting from the shadows.
I finally realize that Spore looking thing called Primal Warden is an anti ground structure...
I’m really digging the blue błøød on the primal Zerg, that looks so cool. Like some of the Covenant species from Halo. Also, the Aleksander, having its own model and wireframe, I didn’t know it was possible to make something like that. It’s so well-rendered!
Be advised, Executor. Alternate Omega will be the hardest mission in your play through.
Also first.
*_OH FUCK!_*
don't worry,I'm sure he'll fix that, the original mission surely could use some adjustment.
@@ForThePrince Fix that? The AI in Alternate Omega is one of the best and most competent, ever! Fixing it would make things worse.
nah,I think it's just too hard,it's hard beyond enjoying to me,I'm playing a game, not joining the torture festival.@@razorback9999able
Was expecting Stukov to mention that it was Zerg who helped Terrans defeat the worldship.
In another universe:
The Death Fleet descends upon the Zerg as they try to flee Bel'shir with the Terrazine gas.
They set up a blockade protected by an extensive network of pylons and Photon Cannons (The pylons are probably indestructible but the cannons are not) but each section is controlled by a Tal'Darim Nexus.
The blockade is under the command of Alarak who says he'll destroy the Zerg abominations in the name of the Highlord and retrieve the Breath Of Creation that the Swarm stole from the sacred ground. So Devours Children (or Duran) says they'll tear through the blockade as quickly as they can since they don't have the numbers to leap out and chew on all of their starships.
These custom Primal Zerg are rad. Can't wait for their campaign to see their gameplay. I didn't plan modding for Primal "Naga" in The Frozen Throne, but this gives me strong doubts. I also liked custom Aleksander though it doesn't look like in cutscenes, UED Crusaders and Davis (Balius/Xanthos reference is clear). But why does she have so little health? And what's that shield which appears sometimes around her?
The shield is a visual effect to separate her from normal Goliaths, and the reason why she only has 50 HP is because all hits will only deal 0.5 damage on her, meaning she can take exactly 100 hits (regardless of damage) before she dies.
@@neotimekeeper6592 I wonder how this was technically achieved as no unit in Starcraft has such abilities.
@@farseer2043 according to other starcraft players, it is an unused armor type hidden in the files, maybe it is based on the Defensive Matrix's effect of forcing attacks to deal only 0.5 damage on the unit who has it active.
I think the reason why the Aleksander is a custom graphic is that it's a bit weird that the UED would use Koprulu battlecruisers as their primary flagships prior to Dylar. UED commander probably thought as I did which is why he did that.
Oh primal zerg, blue bloods and Dehaka oh oh we are in real trouble now.
Primals really are Shrek Zerg
GET OUT OF ME SPACE PLATFORM!
Spore colonies can now attack ground targets too? Oh boy... 👀
Okay, this was just amazing. First up, Dehaka being Dehaka. Gimme that essence, y'all!
And considering how obvious that was, I was completely blindsided by everything else that happened here.
First, Davis strutting around in a Goliath. From the portrait and her parallel to Artanis, I was dead sure she was gonna fly a Valkyrie or Wraith. Though if the mech pilotry is something from the original Nova version, I guess that makes sense I was shocked.
And then the primal not!Spore Colonies shooting both ground and air. Absolutely terrifying considering how many there are.
Also I dunno if those Primal Lurkers have extra range, or if I was just imagining things.
Lastly, that Aleksander design was just amazing! It's kind of like a badass skeletal Battlestar! With that crocodile head that tapers out from the neck backward. The UED emblem on top was a nice touch. Spamming plasma balls as an attack was really something too.
Props to UED Commander for this awesome level, and for the Executor, who played it so epically.
RIP to the three Crusaders who fought till the bitter end. You have served Humanity well.
UED Commander did an excellent job following up the original stuff, especially the badass new graphics for some of the units.
This making me really exited for the primal Zerg campaign.
Are you planning to fix small voiceover and briefing text discrepancies (missing words, changed words etc)? Overall, great work! So much joy in these custom campaigns.
AI voice scripts were corrected by ChatGPT. I didnt change the ones in the game because I am not sure if ChatGPT is correct or the original.
@@ExecutorNral The AI voiceover definitely seemed more grammatically correct.
Yeah there's a few articles and prepositions that are missing, easy mistake since UED commander Isn't a native english speaker. from what I remember.
I played this campaign 3-4 years ago. When folks added Stukovs battleship to this map, first time see it?
Hey I knew it!.. Now I wonder who will be Duran in this Universe, and I guess Dehaka will be the one shotted this time
Primal Spore Defense can attack both air and ground? What a pain huh😅.
And finally some actually custom unit with different model like that Alexsander battlecruiser even though not lore-accurate. I wish other hero vehicle units got the same treatment.
I know Davis Goliath got some tough armor but still it's health only 50 point is too low.
Pretty imbalanced abomination that spore cannon is... its basically a photon cannon with more HP.
@@ExecutorNralsorry I mean the unit model.
@@ExecutorNralPlus it can regenerate...
Brilliant as always. Thanks for uploading
Dehaka could probably still use a Zerg filter over his voice. I can hear the throat surgery the VA probably needed after doing his lines.
Lol, jokes aside if the voice actor uses his diaphragm, nothing bad will happen to his throat or voice cords.
I feel like the Terrans have far less reason to be hostile to the Primal Zerg in this than the Protoss had towards the UED in the original mission. In the original mission, Stukov accused the Protoss of committing unprovoked acts of war against the Terrans on Braxis (which is technically true) and demanded the surrender of the Protoss' own forces and vessels as reparation - a demand the Protoss couldn't possibly have complied with, utterly unreasonable at least from their perspective. Dehaka just demands that the Terrans turn over the biomass of the Zerg that were killed down on the planet. Why exactly whould Stukov not just comply with that? They have nothing to gain and a lot of material to lose by trying to break through the blockade by force.
It's actually more bizarre because the Terrans here didn't actually take any of the biomass and were planning to leave anyway.
This Primal Cyphia mutalisks and Primal Sikari hydralisks are so sick, especially Primal Cyphia, their attacks literally makes them something otherworldly as flying Zergling with gun in shape of mutalisks that can harm both air and ground. Fun fact, those Primal queens can not only cast plague, but also transport units
Dehaka???, this is going to he interesting, more than usual
4:29 OMG! The Aleksander!!!
This confirms that this is a modded game, right?
Primal Zerg confirmed it earlier. Voiced Draliska, Mengsk and Stukov, several unit reskins and a Devourer "Leviathan" with scrapped Defiler attack are subtler examples of modding.
Correct, the mod requires you to launch it through it's own .exe file.
Wow
Actually added custom unit not presented in the original game
Many units. Look at Primal Zerg.
@@farseer2043 they look like recolors of the original ones, so I can't count that
Classic Dehaka with his essence-themed ramblings.
And it was nice to hear the real Davis's voice lines. And what was that flashing aura around her mech?
Davis has a sort of permanent Defensive Matrix on her Goliath, so regardless of what hits her, she will always only take 0.5 damage.
So Dehaka is Stukov now, the story become even more interesting now, next Zerg campaign should be a blast now
I'm curious who Du'galle and Duran are going to be.
3:22 Where'd you study tactics, boy? You were outnumbered at least twenty to one and sacrificed a lot of troops!!!
>0:24 Dehaka Prime, i didn't expect a crossover with Transformers.
>Blue blood and green skin means they have both copper and clorophile in their organisms.
>Seeing the zerg debris without the creeps feels odd but good.
>4:27 Also didn't expect a crossover with Star Trek.
>I still think that Drak should speak like Dehaka.
I heard that reason why zerg using creep to nourish themselves and their structures is that creep can do photosynthesis and acts like something akin to solar power plant and huge solar panels, that is why zerg can live and bloom even on orbital star platform without proper atmosphere. Fact that Primal Zerg are green can really mean that they have photosynthetic chloroplasts as you say and thus it can be reason why they don't need creep, because primal zerg units and structures can "feed" and nourish themselves. I like your interpretation!
Wow, those Primal Zergs are not joke 😮 very interesting faction and Dehaka voice is so creepy
I wonder if this map has the same triggers as the original mission where if you lose too many units, you get units at Dugalles/Stukov annoyance.
Primal zerg have arrive.
Did I hear... *Infinity swarm?*
More like Thanos is Tassadar huh?
Davis is Jarvis, I swear man...
Is DSS Alexander a new custom model? Wow
for some reason this mission feels like Starwars episode... nice.
It bothered me at first that the UED, despite being separated from the Terran Confederacy for hundreds of years, had nearly identical technology.
I then paid close attention to the briefings and noticed that the UED brought next to nothing and just recruited a bunch of locals to their cause. This explanation bothers me from the standpoint that they were so arrogant as to think they didn't need to bring their own stuff.
Carolina Davis?
Who is that? Some book UED character?
Also, being put in a Goliath with HP of a marine sounds weird.
A character from Nova Covert Ops, she's a Dominion General there.
@@farseer2043 oh
Never actually played Nova Covert Ops
Alright
Kraken? As in Hive Fleet Kraken?
Draliska Leviathan should be that great like DSS Alexander :D
Or even bigger.
How can Davis even fight the Primal Zergs with her 50 HP goliath? What does her skill do?
Her passive reduces all damage taken to 0.5
@@ExecutorNralthat mean she wiill be easily killed by 12 zergling. A true Goliath moment i see 😮
@@ExecutorNral This passive is extremely powerful.
@@ExecutorNral well...
That explains 50 hp
How about Zurvan and Raszagal?
Do you have plans to make it an Ai?
Sure
@@ExecutorNral Like science vessel said, "Excellent."
Wait, Raszagal will be there? I've got a role for her in my "Warcraft in Space" Zerg campaign
This can't be real, Dehaka is too lazy to do anything.
Nice.
And amusing
Davis: Zerg *starships*
*what the hell*
What was the habiliy of Carolina Davis?
Any idea why the hp was so low? :O
She got a passive which reduces all damage taken to 0.5
Cool, though I think instead of bio-reactors it should something more akin to a pack leader. Throwing the rest of the smaller packs into disarray.
You know, if somebody just modded the F2 Button into SC Remastered, I'd play it a lot more.
God forbid anyone use control groups
A.i edition? Where's the brood war stuff?
Still generating the voices. I will share them once I am done with
What is the DSS Alexander? Where did that come from?
This is interesting for me too, I think that the mod maker did it himself. As for the name, DSS Aleksander was a classic Battlecruiser in Brood War cinematics.
The Aleksander was the UED Battlecruiser from Brood War. I think the mod author thought it was weird that the UED had Korprulu Terran looking ships and thus used a custom model for it.
@@farseer2043 are there any resources on how to make custom units?
@@toddchavez8274 I don't know about them much either.
