Paul Darrow was the equivalent to Leonard Nimoy. Both are Genuine, kind and class act. And yes the two appeared in cult sci-if series playing cold logical characters in show that are totally a flip side of each other with the delta insignia used and a organization known as the Federation.
Intelligent, appreciative of others, and not spoilt by success. I reckon Darrow's acting in Blake's 7 has to be some of the best caught on camera. Can't remember it getting much of a mention at the time.
He only seems to be acknowledged for his role in Doctor Who. .... He was Kerr Avon to me, in Blake's 7. He was my first love when I was 11. Rest now, Paul. ♥️♥️♥️
Sometimes Avon would go beyond a smile and actually laugh if something was ironic; for example in one episode he's alone on the Liberator when Fed pursuit ships turn up and he asks Zen if he can fight them off alone, and Zen replies "Not 3 ships", and Avon asks "How many are approaching us" and Zen replies "Three". Cue Avon's laugh..:)
this is excellent stuff, Paul Darrow is a very affluent speaker, even now when you see him on television his voice is till very distinct it is as though his whole character which is larger than life takes control of what is happening wihtout having to doa whole lot.
Ah from a time of freedom when addressing the audience as “boys and girls” was hilarious, now the phrase has been banned in many places such as schools. Had enough yet?
Only relatively successful? Come on, the majority of succesful English were bonkers. Come to that, I'm not certain that it doesn't apply to the entire nation as well...
RIP Paul, charming and funny man. He'll be much missed.
Everything that came out of his mouth, in reality as either Paul being Paul, or as Kerr Avon, was with class and with aplomb. Forever a true legend.
An icon, RIP Paul, this month, you will be sadly missed
Fantastic actor!!! Brave man after his illness and disability - one of the best!

Pure class act. And he's right of course... Avon *would* smile.
What a guy! We love you Paul. I think it's time to watch all the B7 episodes again. B7 was a masterpiece.

Paul + Terry Nation .. . ..brought Blakes 7 to Life ...
I loved that part when says the man was in his sixities and he rolled down a hill and got up.
Such a great human being and a undoubted star that should have been greater known.

Avon Picard let loose.
affluent speaker? Do you mean eloquent?
I`d like to buy terry`s tie!
That would be cool though. Except I hate some of these remakes.
